well with a 2x forma Torid and Vauban I was struggling for damage at about wave 25 on Eris DSD

 

Ogris continues to 1 shot rooms...

 

 

so I do think Torid as a "launcher" with reduced ammo should get a buff.

 

 

using Duration to balance damage would be fine, eg 5000 damage over 30 seconds...

Torid definitely needs more ammo and clip size, not to mention a damage increase. Nobody cares about the projectile strike damage, this should be an area denial weapon. No other weapon has the Torid specific cloud mechanic, focus on that and make it good.

The strike damage is important for taking down heavy units.  It's 20% of the listed damage, btw.  The rest is the tick damage dealt over 10 seconds.

Projectile strike damage? go use Acrid... it has damage on impact + DOT... and it travels in a line.

so Torid has to return being an area denial... but DE just have to switch it to what Acrid is now...

Bumping this thread.

I will continue to bump it until the Torid is a good gun.

 

DE actually managed to make it worse with this patch.

They managed to take the worst gun in the game and make is even WORSE.

 

How does that even happen? Did nobody spend 5 minutes shooting some enemies in a controlled test environment at the dev offices? Does nobody read the countless threads asking for BIGGER and LONGER-LASTING clouds? Does nobody see the problem with a grenade launcher needing 2+ seconds between every shot PLUS over 4 seconds of reload time?

 

And instead we get FAR less ammo, 10% chance to crit with clouds which means nothing, and no actual buffs.

 

Can we stop filling the game with stuff like Ordis and Archlight for like 1 week to actually FIX some of the really bad things? It's not like it's a long list.

Bumping with the force of the fist of an angry God! The Torid is an awesome looking weapon, with an awesome concept, but the worst execution of any weapon in the game!

Clouds should last at least 15 seconds, and have a 4-5 meter radius, not 3 or 1.7 as it was before (what dimwit thought that small of an aoe was reasonable in the first place?) It should also have a 5% crit chance with a 25% status chanceto make it more effective. Right now it's a launcher that only has ammo capacity in common with the rest!
