Worst Dlc You Have Played.

Welp I just finished the Dead Money dlc for fallout new Vegas and I must say I am disappointed. The game promised me a tough area and on that it did not dissapoint. However that came at the cost of me having to grind through annoying enemies with weak-&#! weapons.

I spent equal amounts of time grinding out tiny amounts of extra ammo and actually playing the game. I actually just ended up spawning in my anti material rifle in order to expedite the whole damn thing.

If I had paid full price for it I would feel ripped off, hell I still feel cheated even though I got it for next to nothing.

Basically what I am saying is I would rate this below ME2's firewalker dlc in terms of my enjoyment.

So that begs the question, what is the worst gameplay dlc that you have purchased?

Exactly Dead Money.

Worst DLC I think that has ever been made. It isn't even fun, it purposely gives you crap gear so you have to try to stealth through everything it seems. Not to mention when you actually get into the casino there is those hologram guards that you can't really do anything about so you have to sneak around and find terminals to make them move.

Really seemed to punish people who run and gun and don't do stealth at all.

Overall I just TGM and TCL through it, don't care if I am missing out on the achievements at this point.

(TGM also helps to get those gold bars out of the vault huehuehueheue)

The next is Kingdoms of Amalur Weapon and Armor pack.

I got it because it was cheap and thought it would provide some nice starting armor. Well what a waste of money.

Within like 5 levels that armor you spent like 5$ getting? Yeah. Useless.

OH ALMOST FORGOT!

I really didn't like Honest Hearts either. It just seemed bland. I am really glad that Old World Blues and Lonesome Road were flat out awesome.

Other then these three I have really enjoyed the DLC's I have gotten.

Did you got through it at level 40? Also weak weapons? Did you not use the holorifle? best damage for ammo energy weapon in the game.

Also Dawnguard for Skyrim. Was soooooo bad.

I got my butthole ripped open in the Dead Money DLC. I was a Sneak/Long-Range Sniper character, and the fact that most of the weapons were melee screwed me a bit.

Despite that, Dead Money has some of the best characters and story in the entire game, in my opinion.

Every single Defiance DLC other than the first one.

Each one added things to the game that should have either been in from the start, or should have never been implemented in the first place.

The last DLC? Rebalanced every single weapon and enemy based to your level. Problem is, in instances with other players (every single one) It scaled the enemies but not the weapon damage to the highest online player. To sum up this experience? New players got wrecked. All the other DLCs were just reskinned weapons with little to no content. The first one added arenas and new weapon types..

But Defiance has to have had the absolute worst DLC I have ever had the misfortune of playing.

Farcry Blood Dragon.

Because... It's just ridiculous...

Played it for all of 2 hours before I got so fed up with it that I just deleted it from my hard drive. It instilled my hatred

hatred for modern "retro" games.

I actually enjoyed it more than the actual Farcry three, I'd rather be a badass 80's cyborg than a whimpy jersey shore wannabe, but that is just me.

My biggest problem with Dead Money was the lack of choice. I wasn't enjoying the Happy Trails one so at the soonest opportunity I killed a bunch of npcs and left and that was fine.

In dead money I couldn't even find a way to not kill my companions.

My character is maxed out, why can I not take the collar off, find Elijah and make him eat it?

Ugh im just so annoyed at it.

None. Typically, if the game is bleahh or just meh or even good but not impressive, I wouldn't buy any DLC unless it's free to download. Only if the game reeeealy impresses me do I even start to consider buying it.

On the other hand....

Bioshock Burial at Sea Episodes 1 & 2.

Best. DLC. Season ticket. I've ever bought.

Also the first in a while since I cried from a game.

Level 50 character, not quite Min/maxed but w/e its my first playthrough.

And the holorifle is lame. You can't use the thing unless you want to make all the repair kits, and the advanced LAER in old world blues hiits way harder.

Shadow Broker for ME2 is my #1 DLC. The music and missions were top notch. Burial at sea was pretty good too.

You can get a part that make sit indestructible. Also ya that level 50 is why it was easy. I usually go there as my first thing at like level 10 and its pretty difficult.

I just found the whole thing tedious. The rest of the game has been great on Very hard/hardcore but for that dlc it just became a massive grind

I like feeling rewarded for exploring when I choose to do so, I don't like being forced into it so I have enough ammo and stims for the next area.

If I had the ability to retrieve my gear part way through I would probably have enjoyed it more.

ANY PC DLC done by Ubisoft in the last 10 years.

The DLC for Splinter Cell Conviction has to rank HIGH up there as wasted money though.

They.

Don't.

Care.

It's as simple as that. Money is all Ubisoft cares about now. They USED to care about making cool games. Not anymore.

I refuse to play any ubisoft game with follow missions, which is all of them.

You seem to just have a thing against them though :P

Its his opinion my friend. He can say what he wants.

Dawnguard was alright imo. Miles better than dead money though.

It is his opinion, but I just don't know what's wrong with the DLC.

Either way, I don't buy too many DLCs so I'll have to say the Invincibility pack for Saints Row: The Third was my personal worst.

Crysis 3, even though it was a full game, nothing changed, UI was more or less the same, weapons used the same skin, and the majority of the enemies I faced looked like the 2nd game. I'm not cringing about the graphics but come on atleast a reskin instead of changing the name. Also not to mention the crap story. It skipped literally 2 decades in the game timeline, and was references things I didn't even know. Waste of 60$.
