Sancti Tigris/tigris Needs To Be Scaled Down.

Well if someone sticks to star chart or void doing the minimum to complete the mission then even Mk1 braton can do it better than tigris...Same thing cant be said for end game

Actually mk1 falls off after mercury...so you cant. By stzying within reasonable runs 30minutes for example or 40 for a survival youre getting the full brunt. If you can solo a 60 minute T4s congratulations but thats in no way supposed to be how it works. Map and mode mechanics is another topic for another day

Tigris and it's special snowflake version, Hek and it's special snowflake version, Drakgoon, and Sobek all deal far more Damage than they have any reason to.

Agreed,

Because they are nerfs.

Case and point. You dont like change is the thing, Yet so many things change here on a regular basis.

They're shotguns. They're supposed to do S#&$loads of damage. That's what they get for being S#&$ at dealing with several targets.

Shotguns are supposed to do tons of damage UP CLOSE. Not posting up on a wall.

You cry becouse it can hit 80k / shot? xD than what's up with bows? thats fine? ...and Tigris has the constant reloading and the clunky fire mechanism...compare it to bows what can hit MILLIONS....your arguement is invalid.

Scroll up i said those need to be toned down as well. between enemy scaling and overall dmg were pumping its too large and not needed

It's the only weapon that can reliably take down eximus units/ heavies in endless missions, and i'm talking about lvl75 and upwards. Sure boltor and soma p can do the same but tigris needs prioritization of targets because of the duplex mechanic, and 2 round mag. I can't spray and unload on targets as i like, i gotta pick out the heavies so the others can breathe a bit more. This is the endgame primary that a single guy in the squad carries to make breathing room. A whole squad with sancti tigris will not last long unless we're talking about below lvl60 or so. You can take out multiple targets with it yes, but that's entirely situational. Switching targets and sustained kills are not easy with this weapon. So in a way this is a specialist weapon that deserves the enormous amount of damage.

I'm not behind the decision to restrict it for MR12+ crowd, but i can see the balance DE tried to strike with it. Not everyone is gonna carry that beauty to every mission, only a few. So people with higher MR get to dish out damage or fill a specialist role and stand apart by it while not breaking the game.

TL;DR : Specialist weapon, should stand apart, that dps makes it stand apart. Not your run of the mill mr fodder. Great Job DE !

Yea? At what 60 minutes in a T4s right. Why are you even spending an hour in an area like that, besides forma you should have everything you want or need, DE clearly stated the game hasnt been scaled properly for those engagements, purposely putting yourself in a broken enviornment doesnt validate that opinion at all, im sorry.

Personally I don't go that far. Not healthy in my regards. I'm just saying people do go that far and that is their reasoning.

what? lol

Like a year+ ago when i started warframe, no mods or knowlegde about game or for maxium damage, and Damage 2.0 still a new thing, Mk1 carried me till earth and void my friend. Every weapon well modded beats the game, mk1 isnt exception, but well lets not exagerate and try 60min T4S of course...

-snip-

Shotguns are quite effective at dealing with numerous Enemies.

due to having Pellets.

they can't Kill Enemies one at a time for 30 seconds at a time, but it's not difficult at all to take out dozens of Enemies all at once with a Shotgun in Warframe. especially if you're smart enough to take advantage of Punch-Through.

Shotguns already previously had considerable Damage, just didn't have anything else (aside from Boar Prime and Strun Wraith at the time), and Damage Falloff is just gross in this game - Accuracy at long Range is already poor, no need for it.

things as simple as Crit Bonuses when close to Enemies would give them extra punch without doing what they are now, Sniper Rifles that you don't need to aim and don't rely on Crit Chance.

The way endgame goes is that crowd control reigns supreme, and for awhile especially when LOR first came thats what we did, in regards to that again i feel we took a step back regarding that, instead of focusing more on Cell composition its really just going to be Tigris Tigris Tigris. Im all for it being a specialists weapon, But as i said before placing yourself in a broken enviornment to prove a point doesnt validate reasoning. And CC should outweigh Dps in any endgame scenario

No, it doesn't need nerfing. The Boltor Prime(which does way more damage and kills more easily) is totally fine right? Not to mention Soma Prime. A decent shotgun comes around and suddenly it's heresy? So double standards very wow.

Ill edit my op, tired of repeating myself.

Because they are nerfs.

Not exactly.

When he stated "To be fair everyone here screams nerf when something is changed", unless the increase in damage to shotguns like the Tigris is a nerf, but regardless it's not lol. If the overall damage to shotguns like the Tigris went down, by definition, that is a nerf. Even if it's for balancing reasons, you are still nerfing the damage down to counter balance it with other weapons, or whatever.

Many changes usually have the goal of balancing whatever mechanics and/or functions are in question, and whether or not it will benefit anyone is purely perspective. Changes aren't always negative, and certainly not always nerfs.

But now since that's out of the way and not the point of this topic; I get where you are coming from OP, but I'm on more on SoulKing009's post that it's "just a good weapon with a weird mechanic. and the damage is just to compensate that mechanic".

And usually since you're really not killing as many enemies, as to say, a Soma/Boltor Prime or a Tonkor, and somewhat similar to how many enemies you would be killing to something like the Dread/Paris Prime (with the possibility of using a punch-through mod into consideration as well), I'd say it's in a fine place. It's only just a number (and a huge one at that), and it's not overdoing it with it's overall kill-count from what I can tell for the most part, so I wouldn't worry (:

No one forces you to play "broken" end game, but dont ruin the experience of those who like to do more. "Broken" environments need "broken" things fair enough?

No not at all, that just encourages more borking for lack of a better word

Why should CC outweigh DPS in any endgame scenario? Why can't it be DPS too?

No need for calling names lol.

Generally that's just how it is. No matter how you look at it, as enemy levels go up, our weapons and frames do have a cap and it can only take you so far. It's not a matter of what it should or should not be with what Borock was saying, but for how this game functions and scaling, CC will always be more demandable over a pure damaging frame for example such as some of skills on Ember, Ash, Volt, Sayrn, etc.

This is why frames like Vauban, Zephyr, Nova, Nyx, etc, and their CC skill(s) are typically going to be more efficient over the former. (This is assuming within Raid/Endless gamemode scenarios of course).

For how this game is with enemy scaling, CC will generally scale significantly better over DPS. Once DPS drops, you want to have as much control of the battlefield as possible, so you can deal the damage accordingly to each enemy, as their Health, Damage, Armor rating, and etc continue the rise in those scenarios.

It's just how many games are. No matter how you look at it.

Hope that clears it up a bit!~

The Tigris is in a great spot right now even vs its counterpart. 2 Shots in the chamber with a forced hold on the 2nd shot if you want to save it.

Vs a crowd, you'll have a problem. Vs A big enemy or two, you have the tool you need to handle it. Besides, Double barrel shotguns are known for that kind of stopping power, small changes like the one you listed seem too small to make a significant difference to their use, and to make them any lower would kind of deter the point of the weapon.

I know that CC scales better right now, but that chump was saying that it's how it SHOULD be, and last I checked that's just his opinion and not a rule. But he thinks it is, guy has serious issues. He must think that he's god on earth and when he says "this is how it SHOULD work" that somehow has any weight.

You just want to nerf tigris for the sake of "too big damage numbers pls nerf", you dont look at the other stats.

Its not everything about or around damage, its not the only stat on a weapon. Tigris is probabily the worst weapon for crowds, 2 shots and constant reload, thats where this weapon is balanced. The more damage you have, it doesnt matter, you can only kill 2 enemies if you dont miss, before reloading simple as that.

High damage values is for end game, if you do like or dont play thats your business not ours.

We just explaind CC has a higher call point over dps, also again never said nerf, yiu all did.

As stated no namecalling, stay on topic.
