Do Warning Points Ever Like... Go Away?

I may have gotten a bit heated this one time, and now this warning point is staring at me, judging me with every post I make. On one hand, it's a reminder to watch myself. On the other, it makes me feel bad :<

Do they ever go away or are they permanent? I probably deserved it, but I'd like to know.

Some warning points, like for spamming, are temporary, others are permanent.

From the Moderator FAQ:

Q: What's up with these warning reasons?

A: We have preset warning reasons that we cannot change. Only administrators can do that - or warn without reasons given. The table of reasons we can pick from is the following:
• Spamming (temporary point)
• Inappropriate Language
• Signature Violation
• Abusive Behaviour
• Misleading Title (temporary point)

• Topic Bumping
• Posting in wrong subforum (benign warning)
• Other (permanent, temporary, or benign)
• Verbal Warning (benign warning)
If you receive a warning reasons that is not accurately summarizing your offense, please don't interpret these terms literally. We are trying to get as close as possible, but with such a limited palette, we have to approximate things. For example, using an offensive word without insulting someone is "Inappropriate Language", whereas insulting someone, regardless of language used, is "Abusive Behaviour". We also use the "Spamming" reason for excessive Offtopic, posting joke-threads in Feedback and derailing threads. As close as we can get, I guess.

The Abusive Behavior ones are permanent unless a Mod is in a particularly good mood and the team has been keeping track of your good behavior for awhile since said incident.

I know this because I would otherwise not be here and would be banned for having 3 points but I got one removed a long time ago

your name seems too fitting..

Haha... I got 2... and I am proud of em...

nio... not really.

1 for basically posting porn,

the other for describing the person who ddos'd warframe as a [insert f word here].... Then I learnt that apparently I had a different definition of said word than other people.... or mods. language barrier.

Also.. important:

A while ago , after complaining bout my warning points in another thread, I got a message from a mod , telling me to contact a dev about my warning points, because I got them quite some time ago.... over a year for sure.

But I'm not gonna annoy a dev with my warning points problem.

I'm just not getting a 3rd one. period.

It entirely depends on the type of warning.

Abusive Behavior, Inappropriate Language, and some Other warnings are permanent.

Spamming, Misleading Title, Bumping, etc, are temporary.

Information on Warnings, and how their points are handled, can be found here.

Heya. I have some questions regarding some warning points that I received. Could I PM you about it or do I have to ask someone else like an administrator?

Basically anything you say can and likely will be used against you, even out of context. I have two warning points. One was for responding to abusive posts in a spam thread. And the other was a statement taken out of context by a person who wanted a reason to give me a point. I contested the second point to support, but even if you are in the right, the point remains.

Most of the moderators are good people though.

Oh and inb4 warning point 3 for speaking out.

What if I told you I enjoy RP and Anime? And my Waifu is a Lolita... *Puts hands together in front of face expecting answer*

Kinda off topic (pun unintended), but I don't really care tbh. I watch a bit of anime myself, and I used to RP when I was younger, so yeah.
