Cross Platform Play

Will cross platform play ever happen. If not between all 3 platforms at least between Xbox and PlayStation. Has DE said anything lately on this subject? I am aware Microsoft can be hell to work with but is it like they have already said no or is it just taking a long time.

No. It would cause problems for PC update releases because of the cert process with consoles. The Devs have stated they won't allow consoles to delay PC releases. And the consoles don't play together.

not gonna happen. they actually mentioned that because of windows 10 cross platform between xbone and PC was technically possible but probably won't happen. Forgot which dev said it.

It was Steve. And he said it won't happen because they'd have to delay PC update releases between console development being behind PC and then also being delayed by the XBox certification.

Xbox and Playstation won't be such a good idea. Since the two communities are always at each other's throats. That's probably why a Xbox member can't comment on a thread in the PS4 side if the forums as well that PS4 cannot do the same on a Xbox One. PC can't either because some idiot that uses the PC might do that PC master race crap and that consoles are dirty peasants. Which is annoying because just enjoy the game.

That's probably why a Xbox member can't comment on a thread in the PS4 side if the forums as well that PS4 cannot do the same on a Xbox One. PC can't either because some idiot that uses the PC might do that PC master race crap and that consoles are dirty peasants. Which is annoying because just enjoy the game.

How weird, that people can be so rude.

Anyway, cross platform is also something which wouldnt be possible. I mean, think os it, the pc master race with those peasants on the consoles. :P

Kind of pointless for them to spend so much time and effort on programming to make it so Windows 10 and XBone are cross platform compatible and can play games together then...

It would be nice, but Microsoft has to agree to every update, c is free reign, and finish about PlayStation to xbox, but that's not gona happen

I hate how companies tease cross platform then come out later saying it will never happen. It sucks that we always got to divide the community up in games.

it only works one way "you can play pc game on your xbox one but xbox one games, espescially microsoft published one, cant be streamed to PC

Actually, the OP starts off with cross platform play before narrowing it down to at least the console platforms if cross play between all three was not possible.

 

Despite it all, the platform community attitudes really doesn't have too much effect on the decision that Xbox and PS4 do not want to cross platform with each other and DE would like to continue putting out content without having to wait for approval from the companies.
