Xekrin
It occurred to me while playing earlier that Lotus says nothing when death squads are sent by syndicates. Does she not know? Are they released in some fashion that escapes her notice during a mission? You'd think she would care that someone is attempting to murder her precious tenno during their important missions to collect loot, find rare mods and steal from vaults of the baddies. Actually, it is funny, the only deathsquad she seems to take notice of are the Gustrang Three. Zanuka, Stalker and syndicates don't disturb her in the least. Just curious if anyone has noticed this before and what the lore suggests.
ValkyrWF
I think the connection between Lotus and you gets blocked when a deathsquad appears.
TrinityPrime
I assumed it was because she feels a little put off with us getting involved in the first place, perhaps even showing loyalty to others to the point where those certain Tenno wish to replace Lotus with their supported faction leaders. taiiat
if you've played the Natah Quest (more specifically, unlocked it), you can see that Lotus is not as omniscient as she tries to appear to be / would like us to think. and then what happens to Lotus when the Rusty Rag 3 attack you, Et Cetera. Lotus not approving of being involved with the 6 Syndicates could also be an explanation. but Lotus has had her connection severed or interfered with before! KoshLovesYou
This is actually a darn good question, even with the above thoughts. A nice nod to this, lore-wise, wouldn't be bad.
Tesseract7777
I think the most likely explanation is that Lotus remains a careful level of neutrality with all syndicate leaders in order to keep a tenuous level of peace and balance. Think about this. The relay houses ALL the syndicates. And yet most of the syndicates hate each other so much that they send death squads after people who help the other side. And yet the Lotus continues to allow them to stay in the relay. And even though they hate each other and send death squads, in the relay, they don't lay a hand on each other. The explanation? Lotus has brokered an incredibly fragile peace between herself and the syndicates and between the syndicates themselves. The syndicates do some back stabbing, but mostly avoid all out war thanks to Lotus careful intervention. As part of this deal, she is more hands off when it comes to Tenno's involvement with particular syndicates, and tries not to micromanage intervention when a death squad arrives, so as not to destroy the careful peace she's managed to broker. For the most part, unless a syndicate as a whole openly moves against the Tenno or against another syndicate, she stays out of the way so as not to create an open war between them all. I think the answer is that there is a lot of diplomacy going on behind the scenes.
