First time in a very, very VERY long time I've been excited for a new warframe, thought that it might become my new main and really liked the aesthetics.

Yeah the mechanics are important but hopefully they pull it off and the abilities aren't subpar.

Hoping the textures are good too and not plastic shiny/shabby matte nonsense.

Hmm... I'm intrigued by your opinion.

I've got a really harsh outlook on new Warframes being added to the game. In my opinion, each one that's added divides the developers attention to each one even smaller. This is the reason so many Warframes like Hydroid slip through the cracks. I would love to see them touch up Equinox, but she's not even on the radar, and realistically, it will probably be years before she gets a serious look. The cycle of Warframes that need attention grows larger and larger, which is why I think every single new Warframe should be so impactful that it actually changes the experience of the entire game.

One of the worst examples of this superfluous, redundant designs is Nezha. Nothing is particularly wrong with Nezha, but nothing's really right either. He just doesn't do anything hugely different from what we've seen already in the game. He's a wasted slot, and a tumour that just drains developer attention.

However, I do happen to love his aesthetics. Which is why I use Nezha all the time. My rational mind still recognizes him as a bad addition and combination of lazy mechanics that overall damages the game, but for me personally, I love him. It's quite the complex.

I just listened to the discussion of this Infested Warframe and his powers sound very lackluster and unoriginal. Basically just a shiny new package on boring old concepts. However, I definitely understand the sentiment of being enamoured on looks alone.

Admittedly I haven't listened to the stream yet to hear his abilities, I've just seen the concept art on the front page in regards to the infestation stuff which looked interesting to me at least.

Yeah he may fall foul to this but unfortunately I do feel we're kind of reaching that point now with abilities and the ideas (within the constraints of what we have at the moment) are slowly running thin. I felt that as unique as the Bard frame kind of is, it was a rather random concept (despite also being similar to Banshee) and made me feel that DE were running out of ideas. Which is why I have been in favour of taking a break on releasing Warframes for a while to then focus on other things elsewhere, to get the creative juices flowing again. So in the end, abilities aren't really what get me going right now, it's just the looks because a few frames have similar abilities all around.

After pondering on this for  while I realised this reminded me alot of Baphomet, a concept by Silverbones.

I even did a model way, waayyy back.

This was a time.where an i fested warframe was deemed as "will never happen ever".

But here we are.

... and?

Warframes are not Infested. They contain Technocyte, a biological metal. The Infested happen to be another form of Technocyte run amok, wherein it became an entirely new strain of Technocyte that acted more like a virus, or cancer. Which is why they are able to talk to us, they are a strain of Technocyte, but have become their own "race" of Technocyte. Saryn is essentially Ballas' way of fighting fire with fire, beating the Infested at their own game of sickness and plague. Her strain of Technocyte has not become Infested. Therefore, she isn't Infested. No Warframe shown until now has been.

This new Warframe is, which is odd considering the fact that our Operators say we are immune to it. Maybe we're only immune because our Operator is inside of our Warframe?

Where's are those "but it's not lore-friendly" tenno around?

Can't wait to customize the colors on the frame. XD

Am curious what lore they're going to give this Warframe. We know Saryn was created to combat the Infested. Yet, they make an Infested Warframe to combat what?

Sentients? As I believe that was their original purpose to begin with.

I do actually. Also, never take lore so bluntly. Lore is broken all the time, the more recent example being Baro selling us earrings for or Operator, as it's a secret we nearly died for on the Moon to keep it undiscovered.

Yet we are similar to them, as we are made of the material that they originated from.

If we were Infested, we would be a hive-mind, turning others into us and eating whatever we kill for biomass. We'd eventually become Ancient Infested.

Yet, we're not. Even after the Orokin's downfall, which was well over a hundred years ago.

We are Technocyte.

They are Infested Technocyte.

There is quite a big difference.

looks kind of like malnourished corssover between chroma and freyah oberon. Hopefully painting him to look good won't be as hard.

But yay, I'm moderately excited about that one. It's nice to see some new defense specialist added to the game.

the sentients? And uhh I think the orokin made saryn, and all the other warframes, to combat the sentients too. The infested was just another problem they made in trying to solve the sentient problem, which they actually made themselves.

I think you've forgotten that the frames were designed, made, and used to utilize Ten Zero power in the ancient war. We're just rediscovering them (lore-wise).

god let his passive be whenever he goes down he goes into his primal instincts on all fours like a charger with his second form charging and meleeing people and exploding at the end and players in order to revive him after the process is to revive the remaining infested tissue

I like this concept draw and the abilities maybe will be interesting enough. Personally don't think this frame will replace the typhus concept but strongly close to it. My only wish for this frame the name should be something than typhus because I don't like a good concepts butchered by the devs because there is a lot of good concept still exist out there but I am afraid if my creation choosed I would like to give them knowing that can change like the zephyr, chroma, gunslinger frame. There is also other nice concepts which should be in game in the form they imagined but there are butthurt peoples whom will cry on anything if they don't like a frame and talking about how copy paste it is. I can tell you guys every ability is copy paste from something and in time and number of frames this variety will improve but the core mechanics are the same and many ability will be similar. I don't like when peoples cry about lore and frame look and theme because there are tons of way to use a theme differently all depends on the creativity.

There could be as many frame as they can release if they are enjoyable in gameplay and looks good enough. Also who thought this game is space ninja game then I can tell the advertising and reality is different because nowhere was any ninjaish frame in this game history because all come from mythology-elements-items-animals etc. The gamestyle may be but the frames never was ninjalike if they seriously wanted to make a space ninja game that should look like very different.
