It actually adds a flat 90% crit, regardless of other crit stats. Just stacks on top of current crit chance.

 

My build is:

Blood Rush, Berserker, Drifting Contact, Primed Reach (normal reach works, but it's sad in comparison, and P Reach is cheap to buy), Pressure Point, Buzz Kill, Organ Shatter, and Weeping Wounds.

Scales up super well and Weeping wounds makes sure I can get some powerful bleed procs consistently, and it only gets stronger as enemies scale up. Of course you can swap out Weeping Wounds for Fury or True Steel. 

 

And if you don't have Maiming Strike, do not buy it. It does NOT add enough damage to your melee to warrant paying the ridiculous price it goes for in Trade.

This is the Bleed build I use for Atterax to deal with heavy armor.

You can go one step further and use Lasting Sting in place of Primed Reach if you want or Maiming Strike in place of True Steel. Haven't done the math on the new Relentless Combination mod but you need to be in it for the long run and if you loose your combo multiplier you're not gaining anything.

Buzzkill does nothing for your Bleed damage which is the primary purpose of a pure physical build.

If you're not fighting high armored enemies you're better off just using elementals. Pure Toxic / Status Gas Vs Corpus or 90%x2 Corrosive Vs Infested.

So many good mods on it that it's hard to decide. After lots of playing this is my all around best purpose one. Wish I could fit the new bleed proc combo counter mod on but I cant:

You can use drifting in place of body count and if you really want drop zerker for a dmg / utility mod.

There's really no reason at all to use Buzz Kill. 

I dunno why people keep slotting it.

Doesn't help with bleed damage, I know, but it does affect total damage output, as well as the proportion of bleed procs instead of puncture or impact. 

Honestly, it helps more with consistency of damage than adding damage itself.
