Riven Mod Capacity

With the introduction of melee rivens the developers should increase the amount of rivens  that we can carry. With the current limit being 60  the new limit should be 120. As there is no limit to the amount of weapons that we can hold, there should be atleast 120 capacity. I was hoping this will be added with the new update. Please and thank you DE.

Riven mods are unique because there is an extremely small chance of two rivens being the same. Because of this, Riven mods tend to take up a lot of space in databases. So for now, it will be hard capped at 60.

Weapons and mods have same base stats, so they don't take up as much space as riven mods.

I personally think 60 is more than enough because not all weapons need a riven mod.

I actually have a lot of weapons in all I have 102 weapons in all. I like having a riven for all my weapons because it makes it that much better. I understand that I don't use all my weapons in one day but I have a load out for each of my Warframe and each one has 3 weapons specifically for that Warframe. I use a lot of weapons just would love to have a riven for them all. I mean 90 would be great instead of 60.

With the hard cap varying between 15-60 slots depending if you pay,  the fact is we have to disolve rivens for endo or shot them out on the market. And let's face it not all evens are created equal. I just cannot see how Scot makes sense in his justification for  not wanting a riven transmutation feature.

 I'm guessing in his head it will be dumping an ammo drum on you 4/5 times you use it. The response to that is pretty obvious.

As more riven come into circulation, this will be a real issue for most players. Most players are probably well past the base 15 by now,  won't be long until we've  spent a 900p and filled our slots. Then what? A transmutation feature isn't going to solve the issues with the system for sure, and I expect the cap to increase over time to a point. God help us if the ever drop wf riven lol

Edit- when slot space becomes more valuable than most rivens that can fill it

And that's why I feel it's unfair to introduce melee rivens and not increase the capacity to atleast 90. I have rivens for 60 of my weapons and that's not including melee. So now I have to dissolve my good rivens just to make my melee weapons better? That doesn't seem right.

Yeah, and to don't even use 60 weapons a day, and even if you did, you 100% won't use 120 weapons a day. We honestly don't need more slots. However, with all the data base changes and upgrades, we could see a hard cap buff. But meh, we don't need it

Well unlike you all I'm big on collecting. I wanted to get a riven for each weapon just like I have every frame and ship and sentinel and companion. It's just a personal preference. And who said I had to use each one in a day. I go through phases of weapons. Like my opticor I hadn't played with it for weeks until they revisited it. Now I play with it much more. But before that I rotated weapons and frames. I guess I'm the only one that gets tired of using the same thing all the time.

I'm already at 60 cap & I can confirm that transmutation won't help me unless they give some wiggle room to fit 4 riven mods to burn for random one.

Even then instead of just adding another rng element at already thick layer system (onion style), I'd rather dissolve riven for kuva as suggested by someone in another thread.

Just my 2cents.

I can concur you are not the only one.

I also enjoy collecting and cycling my arsenal to keep myself from being bored or as many call it "burned out", so any rivens I get for old weapons helps expand said arsenal on the stuff I can bring to the table like sorties. :heart:

60 is indeed too low of a cap and already recently had to dissolve rivens to fit ones I unveiled that I wanted to keep. :sadcry:

Though I have my fingers crossed with DE updating their tech/servers that *hopefully* they can raise cap a little even if its just 5 more.

If not then I guess time will tell when they'll budge.

Edit: I almost forgot that another option is to wait for DE to buff/tweak weapons and if works out helps expand the arsenal w/o needing a riven for it as well. 260612493414498306.png

The riven system was not designed to be a collections type thing but rather a choice you have to make in keeping what you want get selling the others. It is a trade off system. If you consider a max limit of 60 per person that plays this game that is extremely huge and taxing on the servers in the current way it is designed with so many infinite possibilities.
