  1. 2-3-4 casts his book summon. I hope that's a typo and you mean 2-2-4 for overguard and haven't been re-casting his book hoping to get more overguard. lol
  2. First of all, the people saying "you should have known a nerf was coming" are being straight up disrespectful. Yes, of course we could tell his overguard was OP. Heck, it still is. We knew there was going to be a nerf, but we thought it wouldn't be this bad. We thought it would just be overguard getting toned down. But literally the opposite happened. But regardless of his support capabilities, he had a really nice flow when it came to damage output. It's just the magic caster a lot of us have wanted for a long time now. So when we lost that and now he's just a boring support caster that *can* technically do damage with some practically-unusable abilities that only look good on paper, of course we're going to miss the DPS caster that once was. We can make him immortal other ways. Shieldgates and adaptation or heck, just get a friend to roll Styanax with his augment. But now he feels like someone who just sits on the back lines and overguards allies, and nobody wants to play that, no matter how hard you try to label it as "OP" it doesn't make it fun. The issue isn't that he got nerfed, it's what they nerfed and how they did it that has people up in arms over it.
  3. The pageflight nerf was also heavy-handed and removed his ability to deal with heavier units effectively. Unfortunately, the LoS nerf is so bad, pageflight issues are sitting in the shadow of that. If they didn't make the braindead LoS nerf, we would be up in arms over pageflight instead, because it's almost just as bad.
  4. IMO the line of sight check is completely unneeded, and is going to be harmful to him no matter what they do to "fix" it. It needs to be removed. It was a bad idea to add it, and it needs to go.
  5. Yeah, I'm not thrilled about that, but like I said, I think it would be acceptable if that's all they did to him. It's this on top of everything else that's really ruined his kit.
  6. So for anyone who hasn't actually tried it yet, the LoS nerf was VERY heavy-handed. If your target's knees and below aren't visible to your frame, not your camera, dante himself - you won't hit them with it. You WILL hit them with dark verse, but not Tragedy, which makes absolutely no sense. Even Mesa can hit enemies with peacemakers if a decent chunk of their bodies are visible. Not so for this. Brozime showing us what I'm talking about: The overguard changes were ok, and by themselves it would have been fine. The alteration to his birds made them completely useless. We used to be able to deal with acolytes before. Not so now. And lastly: the book summon is still mostly pointless unless you're casting it on your noob friends and have a good build on it. If you actually put all of the tome mods on yours, however, (as is clearly intended by its passive) it's a complete waste of energy to cast. So at the end of the day, he's really only good for team overguard, and the rest is... well you're better off using some other frame if that's what you want. TL;DR: use styanax's augment instead and that way you'll get overguard and some useful energy regen for the team. Dante is literally worse off, almost no matter what you do. There may be some other niche uses where he turns up "better" than his peers, but none that I've found yet.
  7. So to revisit: None of the problems with overguard messing up people's builds and it getting applied repeatedly by dante in your team was actually addressed like anyone wanted. His final verse: tragedy, which could not nuke on its own at high levels, but relied on the LoS on his Dark Verse to prime, now also has to obey LoS for no real reason other than they were looking for things to nerf to make people happy. This just makes him feel clunkier to play. His birds now barely do anything worth talking about. Archon Intensify is now added to the list of mods made useless by overguard. His overguard buff now makes you regen more of it when dealing damage - making it harder to get rid of if you're trying to do so, and he'll be casting it more often anyway because he gets less of it per cast. his useless book summon is now half as useless his energy economy is basically tanked So unless I'm missing something here, it doesn't look like anyone got what they wanted unless they literally just wanted to see this frame burn for no reason.
  8. You have to be able to run the full spread to unlock the final mode, which I assume also requires a full RNG loadout to keep activated? And then, to top it off, you have to have a nearly full set of RNG gear just to get all of the rewards, because running it multiple times won't get you everything unless one of your runs has everything they want you to use, checked. It's just duviri circuit all over again. But this time, we have the option to completely ignore it and maybe possibly farm the rewards through slower methods that are less painful or else buy them from other players. So, while I'll give it more of a pass for that, it's still dumb, and I'm not going to touch it. Ya'll have fun if you do.
  9. We don't have anything with teshin's abilities, or even anything close. Theme-wise, Umbra is probably closer to teshin frame than kullervo is. Unless you specifically mean Duviri Teshin maybe.
  10. Teshin Frame When? Lotus Frame When? Ballas Frame When? .... SIMARIS FRAME WHEN???? lol
  11. I mean, they could just remove the need to kill stuff in the kill zone entirely. It doesn't really serve much point besides causing this exact frustration waiting on either stupid team members to have a refrigerator moment, or waiting on the dumb AI pathing to actually bring enemies into range. Even when people *do* know better, I've noticed that everything bottlenecks up at the edges of the zone where stuff dies inside like half the time because people are nuking on the edge instead of waiting on a large number to get entirely inside the zone. Alternatively, if they didn't want to remove their weird little kill box entirely, they could just make kills outside of it count for half or something.
  12. This. If they nerf him now, he won't get un-nerfed later when it makes sense. We've seen that with exalteds too (which is my dead horse to beat, damnit) which still don't have arcanes or access to some mods.
  13. I'm actually angry this got attention from DE so quick while exalted melee issues continue to be ignored. I know that's off topic, but holy crap that response was fast. Most people I know have only just pulled Dante out of the oven, myself included, and already folks are asking for nerfs and DE's being transparent about where they are with it. Meanwhile we beat the exalted weapon topic to death for weeks and never heard a peep about it. For real: put an exilus slot, an arcane slot, and remove the mod restrictions on Dante's tome (and the other exalted weapons) first, then we can talk about him being "overpowered" and I might take it seriously. As of right now, exalteds are so far behind that even though his tome has *STELLAR* stats, people still see it as the subsume slot. Put those same stats on the normal tome and it would be seen as a must-use secondary, even without the ability to use multiple tome mods at once, just because you also get an exilus slot and secondary arcanes. Sorry, I know this is somewhat topic adjacent, but it still feels somewhat relevant to me.
  14. I could see Magnetic, Blast, and maaaaaybe Gas. The thing is, more isn't always better. I like the addition of radiation as a single mod. That's cool, and it has shifted how I mod significantly in all sorts of lovely ways. But that doesn't mean we're ready for another just yet, or that adding more would be a good change. I would be happy with how it is currently for the next year or more before we see another. We're still waiting to see the dust clear on this, so it doesn't make sense to keep stirring things up with more combo-element mods. Further, there WILL be diminishing returns on adding these. Because these mods don't soak up base elements, we're going to start approaching the old "Rainbow Damage" from before the damage rework if we keep throwing these in. Another way to look at this, is as an elemental feature. One of the perks of radiation now, is that you can mod for it with a single mod that doesn't eat other elements on the build. Its normal features were fairly weak, so adding this to the element makes it much more utilitarian. Adding that same utility to other elements, especially the more OP elements like viral, doesn't make sense. I could REALLY see magnetic and possibly blast getting this treatment. Gas I'm on the fence about, and if we already have rad, mag, and blast, I would probably be against it. We would be getting into the realm of rainbow damage at that point. Keep in mind, weapons like the Kuva Nukor exist. Imagine how broken it would be on those kinds of weapons, and temper your opinion based on that.
  15. The fact is, for a lot of people, RNG loadouts and fomo tactics like this, suck. I need to be able to get the top reward without picking even one randomized item, or I basically won't play this game mode, and I'm sure many others may dip their toe into it when it comes out only to settle on the same opinion. I've literally refused to play hardly any duviri (I did force myself through a significant amount of SP Circuit, both to make sure it wasn't "just me" and to get a few incarnons I wanted badly enough) because I cannot stand randomized loadouts. I can survive in it. It's not a matter of difficulty. I've been here since the game launched and I've got a roster of tools to match. It doesn't change the fact that RNG loadouts feel scummy to me, and I will refuse to play it out of protest. Do Better, DE. Do better. We know you'll nerf the RNG "difficulty" in a few months after the tryhards chew on it and you don't see the numbers you wanted playing it anyway. You did it with literally every other heavy-handed-RNG system to date. What's that? you're one of the trolls in this forum reading my comment and you're about to say you like it just to see if you can stir the pot? I'm confident you don't actually care. You're just here to give people with legitimate complaints a hard time and everyone knows it. Move along and find somewhere else to troll. Your opinion won't change mine, and mine won't change yours anyway.
  16. Instead of just "mag umbra" or what have you, I would prefer something a little more meaningful to the frame itself. Interestingly, a lot of the acolyte powers, and even stalker's set, are very close to a lot of those frames, and I think it would be neat to get them on-board as sentient warframes adjacent to Umbra. Maybe with their own unique mods (Stalker Mods? True Acolyte Mods?) and at least one unique weapon per frame. I suppose they should share the Umbral polarity, however, or else we'll get off in the weeds inventing new polarities and formas.
  17. I highly doubt they'll do this, but +1 from me too 'cause I despise farming duviri, and the sooner resources from it are distributed to the rest of the game, the better IMO. Most of it is fine, even enjoyable, but the RNG loadout is pure pain for no reason.
  18. I think they have some kind of default way of determining color channels and if they forget to set it manually, it just uses the largest color block on the item as primary, and goes down the list from there or something. It's also possible they have someone new actually importing and linking up the new models in the game, and they just made some assumptions instead of asking. In this particular case, I can see the reasoning behind having it the way it is currently, but only if the piece is used in a vacuum by itself. It does happen often enough though that I think the system is defaulting to some particular order for some reason and they have to override it. Maybe the order the elements were listed in the model data or something? who knows. I just hope they fix it, and I hope ya'll will go over to the bug I put in and upvote it and comment in the thread about how it's affecting your fasionframe. I might be naive for thinking that will help, but it couldn't hurt.
  19. You should have an easy time with it then! That's great! Please don't underestimate the learning curve around nvidia drivers and getting games running in proton, however. Warframe is one of the easiest games to get running, but a lot of common games have a fairly lengthy process to get them going, and which nvidia drivers you're using can sometimes throw a wrench into the mess too. It's getting better all the time, and a LOT of games are plug&play at this point, but there's always one or two in everyone's library that decides it doesn't like the new linux overlord as much, and tries to start a mutiny.
  20. I created a bug with a summary of the situation and linked this topic to it. You guys can check that out here: Thank you all for your input! To be clear, I also like the idea of having separate coloring for signas, but that gets into a feature request and away from a bugfix. (if we could get a couple more axis of movement and maybe the ability to rotate them, that would be awesome too, but again, those are features and not bugs)
  21. How can this bug be reproduced? Equip Krios Signa with other attachments and try to get the metalic parts to all be the same color. I'm not 100% certain this is a bug, but other signas like the entvine signa have the gold metalic parts in the accents color channel, but the Krios Signa has it in the primary channel. This is a problem because it shares color channels with the rest of the attachments, and the majority of them have the metalic parts in the accents color channel as well. Recommended solution after asking the community about it in a thread in general was to swap the current Primary and Accessory color channels for this cosmetic piece. Thread in question: Thank you guys so much for your time and attention to this! I love this cosmetic, and it's clear a ton of work and effort went into it, so I want to see it used as much as possible! I believe this change/fix will help.
  22. I hear that! Be warned that NVIDIA compatibility with Linux is... interesting. You'll get better performance/support out of it on some distros than others, and a lot of it has to do with what drivers are availible for the kernel used, and which card you're running with. Long-term on linux, you'll likely want to aim for AMD cards. Anyway, in the near-term, I highly recommend doing a dual-boot on a few of your machines just so you can ween yourself off windows at your own pace instead of just jumping with both feet right into it at the end of the year.
  23. The gold metalic bits are the base color. While I understand that's a majority color on the part itself, it misaligns with other gold metalic bits on other attachments. As a result, the other two blue colors are in the secondary/tertiary slots and the grey roots are in the accents slot. Like I said, on one hand, just looking at % of the part those colors cover, it makes sense, but on the other it means coloring this thing in-line with other attachments (primed attachments in particular) in ways that look good is actually quite hard. What are ya'lls thoughts on this? Should we put in a bug report? Edit: Submitted a bug for this, which can be seen here:
