  1. Aside from the fact that the people who are unhappy are generally going to be the ones going into the forums to talk about being unhappy and the people who don't mind/enjoy the new mode are going to be playing it rather thank talking about it, thus skewing perspective on what the entire playerbase feels, I believe the progress nullifying bugs are really the biggest hurt on it. I like the randomness. I like using frames and weapons I've forgotten about. What I don't like is getting six or more rounds into SP circuit, and having a bug cause all that progress to be lost. Yes, there are always people who aren't going to enjoy certain things, but a less shakey launch would have helped keep things more middle ground so that the people who like the game mode also wouldn't have complaints due to it flat out not working at times. The 'everything is viable if you invest' vs 'I am not investing in 100s of items I am not going to use' is an interesting look at how different people approach the time they spend on the game. You don't have to spend money/plat to get a weapon upgraded, since you can just spend time. I get why someone who doesn't have a lot of time to spend on a game in their freetime wouldn't want to spend time on something they wouldn't pick when they have a choice- especially when they have a choice 90% of the time. Generally speaking, someone who has been playing the game longer is going to have a larger arsenal that is viably modded. They have had the time over the years to do that. They aren't going to suddenly be faced with a massive wall of 'oh crap I need resources', they've already got them. Standard Circuit/Duviri, I can understand the loss of control complaint. I like it, others don't, it 100% depends om how you like to play your games. But everything is viable in standard mode, even without heavy investment. SP- saying nothing is viable is actually just people saying, I am not investing my time in things I don't want to. I get that too, but this is a ftp grind game. It is designed so you have a reason to keep playing it. Which means they need something to motivate you to invest your time in. So DE said, 'your entire arsenal is up for grabs. Plus some other stuff'. Which means everything already in their game now has a use again if you want SP duviri modes to be easier. You just gotta like the game enough to put in the time. Or spend your money on trading for potatoes and forma. Fashion and convenience is their business model.
  2. Seeing as the reddit AMA basically stated we're getting more Stalker in the future- rather than being an obtainable frame, I imagine he will become a weekly thing like a Kahl mission, where it is technically not us controlling him, just him doing his thing.
  3. Kept an eye on this thread and so I swapped to dx12- my load time problems seem to be gone for the moment, but the client still takes very long to close when I quit the game. It even freaked out and had to be force quit after I had already exited the game.
  4. I was having really bad issues and following the guide in this thread helped clear most of it up But after the few hotfixes since I did that last week, I have noticed a return to stuttering/FPS loss. My loadtimes have also become ridiculous. When I exit out of a mission it has taken upward of 15-20 minutes to load back into my orbiter from Duviri. I quite literally had enough time cook myself something, eat it, and sit back down and I still wasn't returned to my orbiter yet. I use Steam, and I have also noticed that when I exit the game, it takes a long time for WF to fully exit and the icon/application remains running on my taskbar for a few minutes after I quit it. The loadtimes are so bad I end up timing out when trying to connect to host because they've likely already completed an objective, so it takes several tries before I am able to even connect to a squad if I try and play public. 5. Thank you so much. Was about to post about these same issues and this solved them
  6. They are still doing frame reworks. They just have a lot of frames to rework, and for some reason my brain is saying they are going down the list alphabetically? Anyway, Pablo has a list, it's just taking awhile. I mean, Grendel had a whole kit overhaul.
  7. Unless it's one of the passives that got changed during the focus rework, one of the focus school passives does increase your speed I believe? That isn't relevant during the in quest Archon fights, as you don't benefit from focus school for that portion of the quest. You have to utilize the non-standard loadout they give you. RJ and Mechs being requirements for TNW were a joke. You are in each for less than five minutes. I imagine they wanted those less as item requirements and more 'players should have spent time getting these things so they have loadouts that can function against higher level enemies'. Which, again, you play most of TNW with a non-standard loadout.
  8. The fact they have four people providing voice lines for the same animation set means deep customization is just not going to happen. The fact they are lining up four different voices for the same animations/timing is just insane to me. They could definitely throw some more eye/nose customization in, but mouths/jaws are likely not to get tweaked that much due to having have them match other movements. Of course, the more human NPCs they throw at us, the more they should be motivated to improve. Tho, Duviri being all masked characters is a big sign of what they decided to avoid putting up with. The Zariman NPCs are a big improvement over Cetus/Deimos, but things could be better. Facial animations I just don't see them spending a lot of time on. Tbh, I am pretty sad with the female drifter VA options more than appearance. Not that I think they are delivering their lines poorly, but they both sound like teenagers while the male VAs actually sound like adults to me.
  9. My tinfoil hat theory was that Stalker is a relative of our Tenno, as the Envy memory from Duviri implied (to me at least) that our Tenno has a sibling. Of course, there are those who say Stalker is an Umbra style frame, while I can see that, I still interpret what we know from Second Dream as Stalker's operator losing it on finding out they were just puppeting something. Whatever it ends up being, it'll be interesting to see. Maybe we'll get another Stalker assassin spawn update, but he'll go back to actually being challenging.
  10. Starting the cinematic will have triggered the quest. You can 'leave' the Duviri quest in a way we haven't been able to for other quests in the past, but I imagine the game is locking that room because the Dormizone/Zariman plays a part during the quest chain. It may be they weren't expecting someone to try and hop back and forth between the quest chain and the actual Zariman chart location. You might be able to record it as a bug, but it might be how they have the game coded.
  11. I miss liches snapping your back when you got the kill code wrong. I also miss them slowly taking over the star chart. The old wall run animations where your hand used to touch against the wall as you ran against it. I feel like that was a thing? I might be totally misremembering though.
  12. My biggest issue with the meat board has always been that for some reason the sound that plays when you grind with it is insanely louder than any other kdrive. I'm not sure if I noticed the weird MR bug, the sound always made me not want to use it. After throwing myself through Deimos races for it, it was an odd thing to have the sound design keep me from using it.
  13. Yeah, more control would be neat, and I do believe more synergy is coming for the future if they don't want to keep splitting playable content into more islands, but I'm not sure it'll ever get quite that direct. After all, the gimmick of Umbra is that they are the frame that can operate without you. While there are other instances of frames moving without us, Duviri seems to imply that is either the drifter or the operator reaching through the wall to help out. Suddenly narratively saying all frames can run around without us directly seems a bit if a leap. I did assume we needed our necramech during TNW bc Ordis was loaded into it and could finally join us for battle. I feel like there is more wiggle room with them to get them auto deployed, but again, I'm against additional systems that just add more AI to the map to do killing. Your idea seems more like designing a squad loadout of handpicked NPCs(well handpicked wf) and I think the Kahl mission shows WF isn't quite designed for that. -- well I guess the Corpus section of TNW is more how WF would handle NPC squad and it definitely slows things down.
  14. I suppose at this stage I am more curious what you think synergy/fighting together with your warframe would mechanically look like. Spectres use their abilities and fight. They can be told to stay in one spot. Aside from not being allowed in missions with gear restrictions, my question for you is what is different in your idea vs what spectres do now? Just the ability to have our mod loadouts work on them?
  15. I mean, spectres exist. The game has a version of this. You can also summon your crew with a fully modded gun. Since the spectre AI isn't great, and they limit crew summons to a very short period of time, it seems more like DE isn't interested in allowing for maps to be crowded with overpowered AI. If they went this direction, it would require a rework of how you complete missions, otherwise we'll just end up with Steel Path 2.0 where they give us even tankier bullet sponges to put up with the fact necramechs, warframes and operators would be on the map. Having more synergy would be interesting. And the focus rework is a step in the right direction, but I am not that interested in having an AI play the game while I just sit there. Having something a bit like the pawn system in Dragon's Dogma would be interesting, like interacting with them cam complete combos, which again they are sort of going for with the operator overhaul, it just hasn't fully gotten there yet.
  16. I believe the lore fragments of Duviri mention Rell, but I am pretty sure the game says they are different. The War Within has the operator quoting their father saying 'something is out there kiddo, watching us' and the MitW mimics that phrase in another quest I believe. I don't think Wally was made by Albrecht looking at him, but I imagine their ability to initially communicate with people was at least somewhat based off mimicing them, so it became more horrifying because it understood how that worked. Wally seems to very much be a physical entity in some way, since we use his severed finger to run our ship and Zariman is run off similar drives.
  17. Did you interact with the quest at all in your codex or click on the spiral tab in the star chart? It might be a bug from the game assuming you have the quest active even if you don't. You might just have to submit a ticket to DE, but there are a lot of Duviri bugs to be sorted right now. Nora will be back. This current NW round is just ending. A new reward list will become abailable a week or two after this one closes.
  18. The QTE event isn't starting or the QTE isn't registering your inputs? You might just want to go into accessibility settings, and change how QTEs work, which might fix your problem.
  19. A bunch of the rewards are Duviri themed cosmetics, it seems very intentional. They did. They give a list of all rewards in the announcement, as well as the new items coming into her shop. Those alt helmets finally have a chance to spawn in. It's been more or less confirmed the odds of us getting another actual story update from Nora is low. One of the older 'what direction we want to take NW' posts had them talking about the shift. Which is incredibly sad. I imagine they simply don't have the manpower to write new stories with attached minigames that regularly.
  20. Nested quotes make trimming quotes impossible, I see... The Unum stopped time once the mirrors were no longer in place. The tower they are housed in also apparently is self regenerating bio matter that the people from Cetus harvest to feed themselves, so. There are also lore entries somewhere I need to dig up that talk about her producing her own kind of kuva. Whether or not the orokin structure built around her was built to contain, house, or trap her originally I believe ia up in the air. The Orokin encountering something like that and not immediately attempting to exploit it seems unlikely. Of course, the Quills seeing every possible moment in time and having to 'guide' whatever timeline (tho eternalism says there are no separate timelines per se) suits their purposes implies the Unum very much makes deals/awakens people like Wally does. So maybe an early Orokin got that deal but none of the others managed it? If the Unum saw that a path where they were imprisoned for a time led to a better outcome, they could have gone with it. Here's to hoping it's not just another Orokin creation, like 90% of the things in lore. Doesn't the sentinel codex entry imply they are the only aliens in all of WF? Things people found on planets that just decided to help? I need to read it again, it always cracked me up to think they were little aliens.
  21. True, though WF lore has a fun tendency to change, which is part of the reason they keep so many things vague or buried in hidden codex entries so if they get changed not everyone was aware of them. There were still plenty of actual volunteers for the WF program, going by Ballas' Vitruvian. Perhaps the 'guardian' versions of the WF programs were the people who willingly went into the changes. It just seems like we're going to be getting more about Stalker in the future, and having a more concrete connection to the character with our own other than 'you show up in missions sometimes and I kill you' would be neat. Though, leaving information about our Tenno up to is just as likely. DE has also said they aren't super interested in having other Tenno as NPCs, but learning more about the time during the early creation of the Warframes would be interesting. Who knows. Tbh, the one thing I disliked about the Duviri intro quest was the implication that the Drifter was leaving Duviri to become our 'original' (not a viable term anymore since it's possible for drifter to be the first one you play now) character ('you will be as you were not as you are') implying that the paradox isn't necessarily what was going on in Duviri, but the fact that you weren't rescued until you conquered the spiral then got spat out - then back as a child on the Zariman and were rescued. Sadly, I feel like whatever weird void shenanigans that occurred - Drifter finding Lotus- where the Tenno went when they were stabbed, (were they honestly in Duviri? is that going to be part of the echoes update? our lost kid in duviri going wtf) - are going to be glossed over. That being said, Drifter getting void powers seems to have just been another key to wally busting out of where they were stuck. I imagine it would be played more as a 'haha you let me out you fool' moment rather than 'you have no control over me but I get all the goodies bc it wasn't your hand that I shook' moment.
  22. Second Dream quest has Lotus saying (me paraphrasing) 'learning about the resevoir drove the Stalker to madness' and Hunhow's talk with him once we're out of the pod is (again I'm paraphrasing) 'you must be asking yourself, was I one of these things? You still hate them. You still hate yourself.' That's a pretty heavy indication they do have an operator, but whoever they were still felt a lot of loyalty to the Orokin.
  23. Spoilers for Duviri and the entire story of Warframe as I put on a tinfoil hat and make some crapshot predictions about future content. So. When we get our emotions back in Duviri, the flashbacks of the Zariman show 2 adults and assorted children. The birthday party joy scene is clearly a big event, but envy seems to specifically show the adults with one child over the other. I posit the tenno/drifter has a sibling who was also aboard the Zariman. And it would be delicious if they were the tenno in control of Stalker. Especially since DE has hinted there is more Stalker content coming in the future. It would also make sense why a different version of the stalker might be appearing in Duviri- they are there to look after their sibling. Giving the 'main character'/PC a sibling would allow for narrative parallells between Lotus and Erra (who was poorly introduced and v poorly kept around but maybe can be redeemed as a concept). Now time to really go off the deep end. The man in the wall is a terrifying eldritch being with control of space. The unum is a massive unknown entity in control of time. I figure the two are aware of/related in some capacity. God siblings? More narrative paralells! The next big update will be us hopping around space and time dealing with the Stalker and getting more Wally/Unum backstory as our sibling space drama unfolds.
  24. New War saves at different sections. When you load back in you will still be in the New War quest, but should start at the beginning of the Teshin section.
  25. You also gain instrinsics from doing the circuit as well. Of course, things are more random with that depending on the loadout that you get. Doing the full duviri experience mode spawns the side objectives which also give instrinsics. Depending on which game mode you're willing to grind and put up with potential bugs is up to you. I have fun running around Duviri solo, it isn't effecient, but I like the new little tasks to do. So long as it doesn't break, Circuit is potentially your best bet for quicker intrinsics farm.
