  1. Heavily slowing them already is more than enough value. I'm honestly surprised that they keep buffing Cold again and again, it is amazing at what it does. But I'll take it! And keep in mind that the current Critical Damage increase of Cold should still apply, it just won't get doubled as it will on Frozen Enemies. Lets say we're comparing a 60/60 Magnetic Build and a 165% Toxin Build (most likely paired with the Corpus Faction Mod in the other 60/60 Slot). With Toxin 62% of your Damage (165%/265% ≈ 62%) will bypass Shields and deal Damage directly to Health, with the remaining 38% Damage going to Shields until they run out. With Magnetic you'll be dealing 100% of your Damage to Shields and Health. While this does make Toxin still seem like the better choice, we should not ignore that the Damage Vulnerability to Magnetic will no longer apply only to some of the Corpus' Shields but to all of the Corpus' Shields and Health. And lets not forget that Magnetic turns off Corpus' Shield Gate and Shield Regeneration. So if that Damage Vulnerability is significant (eg 75%), this might be a massive boost for Magnetic! It might become very much worth it against Corpus, especially against the few that have lots of Health or even Armor. Who knows, Amalgam Corpus might even gain resistance to Toxin, furthermore reinforcing the power of Magnetic. I'm very much with Pablo on the wait-and-see front for Magnetic. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with some honest build diversity between Toxin DoT Builds and Magnetic Raw Damage Builds.
  2. I don't think so, nor that it would need any, and here's why: Slash's main benefit is that it bypasses Enemy Armor and deals Damage directly to Health, but is otherwise the weakest of the DoTs. With Enemy Armor getting reigned in, Slash's main boon becomes less impactful. And since Slash deals Damage directly to Health, increasing Grineers' Health will increase the TTK from Slash DoTs. That's two indirect nerfs to it. Now, get ready for some maths: Slash deals 35% of the Damage that dealt it. It bypasses Enemy Armor, so it's always 35%. Electric deals 50% of the Damage that dealt it. Electric scales with Electric Mods, so up to 265% with Primed Electric Mods. That's 132.5% of the Damage that dealt it. Electric DoTs can Headshot, with a moddable Headshot Modifier of 1x. So with Deadhead, they'll be dealing 1.3x Damage on Headshots. That's 172.25% of the Damage that dealt it. Assuming the new Enemy Armor DR Cap will be 90%, Electric DoTs will be dealing up to ~17.2% of the Damage that dealt it. That's half the Damage of a Slash Proc, with space to grow beyond it when paired with any Armor Strip (eg Corrosive from your Companion or Primer) Speaking of Electric, another reason why it currently suffers against Enemy Armor is that Alloy Armor resists it by 50%. This seems to be gone, unless Kuva Grineer are resistant to it (plz no). And lets not even get into Corrosive and Heat. A Heat Procs will be dealing that ~17.2% Damage of the hit that dealt them, but that same Weapon will be doing an Armor Strip of 90% under the new Enemy Armor which is capped and rewards partial Armor Strips?? Corrosive Heat meta??? (with a Viral Primer, duh) Words cannot express how excited I am for these changes.
  3. It seems that at the very least some of them will:
  4. I will once again ask for some of your software engineers to hop on a devstream and explain what kind of black magic they're doing.
  5. It's always great to see you guys constantly supporting some kind of charity, even when not directly donating at least running these fundraisers. Somewhat off topic, but since they're the "rewards" for hitting the milestones I thought I'd ask; Could we get the Univeral Medalions buffed from an Uncommon Medalion (1k Standing) to a Rare Medalion (5k Standing)? They feel insignificant at just 1k.
  6. Very excited for the new Disruption Node!
  7. Then Warframes with Abilities that hit 90% DR start replacing these with Eclipse since it provides 95% DR. Night would need to be diminished too.
  8. Tap/Hold + Diminished Helminth (100% Damage instead of 200%, 50% DR capped at 75% instead of 75% capped at 95% 🤔)
  9. I really need you guys to have your Software Engineers on a DevStream or at least a Prime Time to discuss what black magic they keep doing.
  10. I don't like the idea of having a thing in Platform A and then not having it in Platform B unless I buy it again, but I prefer it over freelance artists making less. Ideally, the TennoGen program would be changed for all future additions, so that purchases are somehow unified between platforms. Retroactivelly changing existing TennoGen, over time if need be, would be great too, but it really does seem unlikely. Regardless, the priority should remain for the artists to recieve as big of a cut as possible. scam: a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation fraudulent: characterized by, based on, or done by fraud : DECEITFUL You're being told, plain as day, what your purchase will do. You're not being forced to buy the thing. You don't have to buy the thing, not even in the gamer sense of "have to because content". And it's not illegal, because it's not illegal. So it's not a scam, now is it?
  11. Story Skips are inherently bad, even if completely free. It's as if you're saying to new players "hey, we have 10 years of content but you can ignore that if you want. it's not good enough.", "don't worry, our game and story are so simplistic and one dimensional that you don't need any context to jump 10 years in". That's not true with Warframe and it's frankly insulting to your work to even imply these. Skipping Quests and other content will make Whispers and other future content less impactful. Why care about Wally if you haven't done Chains of Harrow? If you haven't seen the deal in New War? Why care about Albrecht if you haven't heard about him in HoD and his Necralisk recordings? Why care about the Operator and Drifter if you haven't done the Second Dream and Duviri? How will you understand Void shenanigans like Transference if you haven't done the War Within? Payed Skips just feel worse. If you were saying "these old things aren't good enough anymore" before, you're now saying "pay us for the privilege of skipping through the bad stuff". I don't think I have to explain why this would feel awful. And having that be one of the first few things a Player sees right after doing the introductory Quest? It would likely make me go "oh its one of those games" and uninstall it. Other MMOs whose old content "dissapears" when new Expansions release, are doing it wrong. It's always felt wrong that WoW essentially scraps its previous story and content every other Expansion. And yes, FF14 lets you buys skips (it shouldn't, as e.g. EW barely makes sense without all the context from ARR, HW, StB and ShB), but it also incentivizes revisiting content of previous Expansions, eg Stormblood Relic Weapons asking you to do ARR and HW content. The fact that you keep revisiting and tweaking older content, rather than completely ignoring or even worse removing it, is a massive boon to your game, so why tell people that they can skip it, which as I said before, also implies that they should skip it. ~ Instead of incentivizing people to skip your hard work, hard work which still holds up, you should just keep up the great work of cleaning up and improving the early game. Touch up some of the early bosses to be more interesting and less infuriating. Create new Tilesets for the Planets which are sharing theirs with others. Make progressing through the Star Chart faster and easier. Cut out the Mission filler that some of the earlier Quests have. Guide people to interesting content other than just the Star Chart and Quests, like (E)SO, Arbitrations, Liches/Sisters, Railjack, etc. ~ Just, don't do skips, neither payed nor free, please. Streamline and clean up content, make the overall progression faster, but no skips. People who'd bounce off of Warframe because they have to play the good old stuff before reaching the good new stuff, would most likely bounce off with a skip as well, as they wouldn't be able to fully comprehend and appreciate what the new stuff is without all of the context from the old stuff. To be frank, a Story Skip is as insulting as binging a show at 2x speed, or reading only the first and last chapter of a book. You should hold your art at a higher standard than that. A grind skip could be fine if well implemented, even if payed. That's the basis of the game's monetization after all. But I'd rather you guys keep reducing the unecessary and mind numbing grind wherever possible instead. ~ Next day thoughts: You were developing New War for how many years? On and off from 2018 to 2021 and activelly during 2021? And you're going to tell people that they can skip it with no issues? Do you really feel ok doing that? You just released and Artbook and an OST Vol2 for your game, filled with art and music of stuff that I have to assume you're proud of. And you're going to tell people who just joined your game that it's fine to skip it? Adding a Story Skip is an insult to your own hard work.
  12. I'm equal parts excited and terified. I want a two hour DevStream with just your engineers talking about the Enhanced Engine and having to port it to the previous gen Consoles.
  13. Since this thread is somehow still going, I'll put down my current thoughts on the matter: DE's response has been good. Quick changes to the bundle and a statement of intention to do even better in the future, reiterated in September's DevStream with enough sincerity that I do believe them. My only remaining ethical issue is the FOMO bs. The bundles are still too expensive for me to justify them but I also really want the Frost Skin and Signa. So, dearest DE; If you remove the FOMO from this run, or eventually rerun these Skins, I will buy the Celestial Bundle. Not only do the Skins look dope af but I also intend to put my money where my mouth is. PS: Huh, changing my account eMail also deleted all of my Forum Post history?? No, it created a new Forums Account??? Weird lol.
