  1. Uhh that sounds like the enemies being too weak not the book being too good. If you can't charge the secondary fire that means the enemies are dead...again weak enemies, that also tends to mean even Dark Verse alone will kill enemies with no tome buffs required. Just kill them, no need to juggle tome buffs when they're going to die to Dark Verse and Pageflight either way. This all seems quite pointless to me, if you're able to put together a decent Dante build you will run over the base star chart regardless of approach. Go and do: Steel Path Fissures, Netracells, Archon Hunts if you want enemies that won't die to a Noctua spellcaster support build. Low level content isn't worth rebalancing effort (in most cases anyway), any fully modded frame will make a joke of it even operators steam roll those levels.
  2. Influence is nice because it effectively increases the area Vulnerability Serum affects, but it's not a necessary component of how the Ruvox destroys things with AoE procs. Then armor strip is not worth considering here (rare thing to say but it's true).
  3. Story of all supports and defensive frames :( feels bad. Edit: Does Trinity's Blessing still work on Eidolon lures or did it get butchered?
  4. You look forward to culling millions of units for fun without question and the name of a mod is what bothers you.
  5. Remove Devastating Attrition and you'll find that the Felarx and Laetum are not overbearingly strong, still good mind you but not blowing every other weapon out of the water good. That's where the Onos sits right now and it's perks don't throw its balance point to the sun, which is the right balancing approach (my complaints about it's incarnon perks still stand, who in their right mind decided you need the option to reduce recoil on a weapon that has zero recoil in either mode who? or the option to reduce crit chance on a heavily crit skewed weapon with no other perk option to justify such a thing, really?). Staying with the Onos, Sequential Skullbuster has the POTENTIAL to be an option alongside Devastation Cascade but is held back by a minor thing...it's completely screwed over by how the Onos functions. Punch Through on the Incarnon mode and the perk choice? completely resets your skullbuster stacks; the Incarnon mode's charge up being a wide cone? That cone hit touches anything that's not a head, which is extremely common by its nature and boom no skullbuster. You dare miss a shot? All stacks gone. It's like whoever made this really didn't want it to work at all. It would be more sensible if Skullbuster had a duration attached to it so that it could get the chance to work. Rant over. Steel Path was advertised as hard mode, it was doomed to fall flat in that department because people have been killing things 100x the level of Steel path since forever, not to mention all that changes is the enemy EHP...no increased damage, no aggressive enemy ai just throw more health and armor at it and jack up the spawn rates. It's not hard it just narrows down your options but ultimately still trivial, DE knows this and to their credit they are trying to do more interesting things, it is a hard task though. The gleaming example of forsaking gameplay identity. The incarnon should have been in line with status application such has been the Torid for years, but nope all incarnons must be damage creep incarnate. Base Torid is a fine albeit niche weapon, Incarnon Torid is an embarassing failure of game balance actually it's a great example of why you need balance in a PvE game; it should be nerfed without question but you can't safely do so without causing a massive uproar at this point.
  6. So for fun I tested to see if Dante could apply Overguard to objects and operatives with Light Verse or Triumph. He can't apply it to static defense objects, neither Overguard or the max hp heal which was kind of expected. How about moving objectives like Operatives, Eidolon Lures? Well overguard is applied but I don't know how much as you can see down below. I did try Eidolon hunting with Dante and the heal from Light Verse doesn't affect them, this is be the one of very very few situations where the heal on Light Verse would be appreciated and it doesn't work...DE pls. I decided to check if Protea's shield satellites work as well, they don't. Whatever weird reasoning happened during Scarlet Spear (I had taken a break at this time but quick research pointed to this event being the reason defensive support abilities not working on objectives) has to be done away with at this point. I still remember that Harrow used to be able to singlehandedly keep defense objectives and excavators alive through Penance healing, it's pathetically no longer the case. Let supports support.
  7. First let's clear up something, the Ruvox is the most absurd thing I've ever seen (in the likely case it's extremely unclear those are 20 level 170 Steel Path Exo Gokstad Officers, they have a LOT of health and armor and they got evaporated). Yes you can replicate this This was achieved with just this, no melee influence no armor strip nothing just 8x+ combo (and yes this can also be achieved with Gas) This is possible because of one choice and one choice only, Vulnerability Serum. An explanation of what's going on: Vulnerability Serum applies 35% status chance vulnerability to impaled enemies, but this is unlike Dante's similar effect because this also applies to the hits dealt by AoE status effects (Gas and Electricity), leading to if you have enough enemies close together, I estimate about 7 and above, your Gas or Electricity can propagate themselves and scale themselves up fairly quickly over the impale duration (yes even in spite of the Gas status limit). Turns out no amount of armor, health or shields can withstand this and even if they could you just impale them again and repeat the process, an enemy group has to be outright CC immune to avoid getting impaled in the first place. None of your other Incarnon perk choices matter here and this is a big problem. (Does this need a nerf? As long as CC immunity and inconsistent enemy behaviour around CC continues to exist then no it doesn't, this is cumbersome to pull off in the age of Overguard, diminishing CC duration and new enemies refusing to stay in neat clumps...and the impale MUST trigger in order for this to work and it's regarded as a CC effect). What do the Felarx, Phenmor, Laetum, Ruvox and Onos all have in common? They are "natural" incarnons and they have only one perk choice that actually matters, except it's not a choice at all if you choose anything else you have an objectively weak weapon. This kills the fantasy of having a range of choice with these weapons which really sucks because they are genuinely fun weapons. The Innodem is an exception because the none of the incarnon perk choices really matter or play off of its incarnon form gimmick in a meaningful way, it's just a strong stand alone weapon which is a bit deflating in its own way. The Felarx and the Onos are solid weapons even in their normal states, at least with these two there can be active decision making on which form to use; I wish that could be the case with all the natural incarnon weapons. In summary, the incarnon weapons need to be rebalanced to actually deliver on their promised premise. Back to the Ruvox, it is very disappointing that the impale does nothing on its own and is extremely dependent on Vulnerability Serum to be worth anything to the player. If anything has to change it is this, the Ruvox deserves better. Also why can the impale be completely invalidated by CC immunity? The weapon will have no effect at all, none. There are other weapons that suffer from this like the Zymos but why? It is ridiculous.
  8. Onos is an excellent single target weapon, not much else to say. Ruvox is a unique slam centric weapon which can put in a terrifying shift when employed with either with melee influence or a large range gathering ability like Ensnare and AoE dots like electricity and gas. It excels at dealing with large clumped up groups but struggles in the single target department. However it has only very glaring issue, it needs each enemy it hits to be impale-able to be effective, as a result it joins the club of waepons which get screwed over by CC immunity like the Zymos and Proboscis Cernos. I wish effects like those on the Zymos or Ruvox did not explicitly require the CC portion to go off because you already jumped through considerable hoops e.g landing headshots with the Zymos or building up combo on the Ruvox.
  9. Dante & Citrine - You can mess around with status and the more you know about the game the more ways you realise these frames can be built. Prismatic Gem is one of my favourite abilities in the game and Noctua is the most flexible exalted weapon by an absurd margin in terms of playstyle variety. (it will get even more satisfying once Dante's passive is fixed...hopefully fixed). Gyre - The true electricity frame, just uncompromisingly all about electricity. We don't really get pure elemental frames but she is just chef's kiss/zap Dagath - No one ever talks about her performance with weapons, it's really really good...I still want to ride the horse though. Harrow - Fantastic support, fantastic gunslinger, fantastic gameplay flow, just perfect Protea - Does your weapon have terrible ammo economy? guess who can help :) Do you want to do funny things with heat procs? guess who can help :) Do you want enhanced shields but don't want to play Hildryn? Do you wish Vauban had a bit less CC and diversified his utility set? Well Protea has all your bases covered. Special mention to Yareli and Voruna for when I want to mess with very specific weapon classes or effects.
  10. 20k?, definitely Overguard not regular shields. It's one of either Dante, Styanax or Frost.
  11. They could but all frames have a latent consciousness that our operator has to bargain with in a way, most of the time it's easy because their consciousnesses are heavily suppressed then you have Umbra, however in extreme circumstances like the second dream our "suppressed" frames can have moments of autonomy. So even if the transference link was severed if Inaros himself felt strongly enough about the Mars colony he could act on his own. I think the warframes that were piloted during the Old War were original, feral warframes but with limiters put in so that it would easy for Tenno to operate them. Remember, the Orokin tried doing this themselves initially but the warframes resisted their control and went on rampages; so when we come in and manage the hard part, calming them down, they maybe put in some extra measures just in case they go crazy again...they probably didn't account for the Tenno willingly letting the Warframes slaughter the Orokin though. "They made me a monster"-W "They put me, all of us on that doomed ship, they did this to us"-T "I want to kill them"-W "Leave no remains"-T The minds of Warframes and how the Tenno factor in are underexplored but they hold the answers to a number of ""why-s?"...probably.
  12. Part of your answer is in Chains of Harrow, the operator can physically die in a "wasting away" fashion like Rell but Void consciousness transference nonsense can occur. Inaros, Sevagoth, Mirage, Limbo all died and the transference links were severed and since their operators were in "second dream sleep" no attempts are made to re-establish those links. The frames are then left to either wither away or continue as barely alive husks like Sevagoth's shadow or Dagath. Warframes are humans underneath the all the infested tissue, hard as steel skin and so on (refer to Umbra). So while it takes a lot of effort to kill one they die like you and I.
  13. Agreed Don't agree, this needlessly overcomplicates the ability, remove the base damage entirely and fully lean on the status detonation, the base damage does nothing in later stages of the game and makes a joke of lower levels i.e it has the same properties of old Soundquake. At that stage you can now remove the Tragedy LoS check. Multishot I agree but fire rate is determined by whatever weapon you have in hand. I find that to be interesting because you can have sub par fire rate on Noctua but have another weapon with very high fire rate/tick rate/attack speed and Word Warden goes on a machine gun spree. Agreed I have a personal hatred of the Helminth system so I'm happy Dante has no "easy subsume slot" and the opportunity cost of subsuming is heavy. I want it to stay that way, Helminth was a mistake anyway. The heal just doesn't work right? It kinda feels tacked on, I don't know if a selfish duration increase is the move on a support skewed ability but yeah something else is needed there. This would have to be a fix for all exalted weapons really, but yeah it is offputting that a status focused frame can't make proper use of a status focused mod on their signature weapon. Agreed that the visual clutter on-hit could use a toning down, also please adjust the aiming reticle it's hard to aim when your reticle can blend in with the vibrantly coloured environments of Warframe. I'm actually a fan of that opportunity cost to modding because it ends up being a loadout wide consideration, utility should come at a cost to offensive power it then falls on the player to make the choice on the balance between the two facets. It's modding choice done right imo.
  14. Conductive Pirouette For each shocked enemy touched while dodge rolling gain shields for each electric proc on them.
  15. More for a mechanic, I wish shield gate triggers had a clear indicator like Overshield gate triggers. Sometimes I derp out and don't realise my shields got depleted. Edit: I also wish Chroma had Lavos' element selection system, it offers better control over your choices
  16. I have read it and yet I still I hold out hope that it was just DE forgetting the Infestation. Maybe that's fully developed Sentients but not fledgling Tyro sentients, I don't know the concept to me makes for perhaps an interesting Infested lich: adaptable in every sense of the word...let me dream dangit. It does explain how Quinn has no clue Mother (Euleria) is still alive. I don't see why not though, Cavalero loots ships during Void Armagedon so they can interact with objects from outside the Zariman however I do wonder if the Holdfasts have the "Thrax condition" where they can only be perceived by the void touched? But Lotus/Margulis/Natah is basically blind when it comes to the Zariman but she's definitely void touched, weird. The song won't have adverse effects on the living all it will do is entrace you to the reliquary drive then what? You potentially shift the ship leaving a gapping hole between dimensions that the Void can flood in through...ok maybe a problem. A shame too, it would be at least funny to hear Cavalero get annoyed with a chatty fish with a big brain, also since Loid is the archimedean lore dump he should know a thing or two about the Zariman's designer (I covered my bases here, both are void touched see). Yonta, outside of being best girl contender, is an interesting character who I want to know about; she's the only "surviving" archimedean who hasn't had any neuro-degeneration and has a clear memory of what it was like being an archimedean. Cavalero, best mission control in-game I'm not discussing this, knowledgeable on orokin era Grineer, Orokin era weaponry and the underworlds that the likes of Parvos operate in. There are other Zariman cephalons outside of Melica, can they interact with the wider Cephalon weave? Would Ordis even dare try, they're more broken than he is if Melica is anything to go by. Can void angels take different forms? Kinda want a more amorphous liquid Void Angel. What of the other decks that are "completely empty except for the angels"? Sounds like a late game activity to go and uh "visit". Why yes I like the Zariman how could you tell? Yes, let us witness Darvo's rise to unwanted power XD
  17. Immune to the Helminth strain yes, we haven't had any exploration on the other two known strains. I've seen enough hype cycles from DE specifically to know that won't pan out, especially if 1999's combat doesn't hit the ground running. Although I am inclined to believe that just means they'll leave "Sol" systems to rot in perpetuity (Railjack, Sorties, Arbitrations, Duviri, Archwing missions, Open worlds etc.), which I wouldn't be quick to be hyped about. SU still aren't independent and are still indebted to Nef, so no we didn't really change the state of affairs. I just find it weird that that important plot point of SU was completely omitted post New War. It's Parvos only, no Board involved in Entrati Disruption. Parvos doesn't care about Dante, he knows well enough that once he gets his hands on a Warframe Tenno will be busting down his door as soon as he blinks; Albrecht's stuff, that he already looted once before yeah he's after that. Guy got disowned on the spot, he doesn't have a daddy to begin with. He just has another power hungry competitor.
  18. The Tenno have graduated from inter-faction disputes to existential inter-dimensional war, but what's up with the factions whose existence we're defending? If I'm not mistaken we haven't heard anything about regular denizens of the system since New War resulting in the Warframe world feeling empty. I'd like if we got new radio transmissions, Nora having new updates on what's going on and revamped invasions. We all know Alad V has MC level plot armor, he didn't die what's he up to? and even if he did Mr. Wall knows it would be a waste to not make a conceptual embodiment copy of Alad and Ballas in the same manner as the Holdfasts. I want stronger differentiation of Infested, Alad managed what Ballas couldn't and made an Infested strain that can take over robotics...where Mutalist Sentients DE? What's the dynamic between Nef and SU post New War? Where third orb? How is Tyl and his Tubes and his Tubemen? Is Nef opposing father Parvos, and what does the Corpus Board think of the operations of their returned founder Parvos? Will Suda and Yonta have a somber archimedian reunion? I get we're chasing Albrecht and all but we don't live on just Deimos.
  19. If you liked Citrine well Dante also meddles with status. If they do then something new has to come from elsewhere. Funnily enough most external Warframe advertising focuses on new areas or major story expansions.
  20. The tome has to be in your hand when each tick occurs for you to get stacks, no fire then swap to do other things (very annoying but yeah that's how tomes work)
  21. Our resident frog/jellyfish is one of the most interesting frames around, but she's showing a bit of age. I'd like to suggest a few things that might freshen her up a little bit. Passive It has always been odd to me that a frame who has 3 ways to become invisible and relies on it to live doesn't innately benefit from being unseen. I propose that Ivara gains Critical damage when unseen Navigator All multishot projectiles are combined into the single controlled projectile. I'm targeting Artemis Bow here actually because it's odd that Ivara pretty much never wants to Navigate shots from HER bow. Navigator should also fix an upper and lower limit on projectile speed to expand to the range of weapons it can be used with. (some projectiles travel so fast they can't really be controlled and some, under certain circumstances, travel so slowly that you're better off doing something else instead). Artemis Bow Quiver shots fired when using the Power of Three augment should fire out three shots, it currently doesn't. A general plea for bows, can bows please have access to some sniper mods like Target Acquired and Sharpshooter? Quiver Noise Arrow While thematically fitting for a stealth frame, it is very impractical in-game. I'm not sure what to do with it but it needs a change (or maybe enemy alertness needs a change).
  22. It was already attempted between ~2015-2019, that's the era Octavia, Revenant, Garuda, Gauss, Grendel, old Hydroid and current Oberon came from, even old Inaros' Devour had %hp damage. The issue with level scaling damage in a PvE setting is there is no way for the enemy to push back against scaling damage, leading to complete trivialisation of whatever content you come up with unless you make it impossible for enemies to be hit with those abilities e.g Eidolons. Trying to balance it is a near impossible task because you have no real wiggle room to work with, it's either very good like Octavia's Mallet or release Limbo Cataclysm or poo like old Hydroid's Undertow and Oberon's Smite, when I came back to the game I wasn't surprised no recent Warframes have %hp or level scaling damage instead we've had the other problem: flat damage creep.
  23. I like her but there are issues: Doom has anti synergy with on-kill effects on weapons e.g Trumna, Sepulcrum, Galvanised mods, Steel path arcanes. She doesn't ride the horse Cast animations are a bit too awkward for the majority She is fairly fragile Limited squad utility Competes in a very saturated Warframe archetype: damage She effectively only has 3 abilities because Grave Spirit is not an ability Ability rotations are very energy hungry, arguably more than the likes of Dante, with little wiggle room to address the issue Her resource farm is mindnumbingly boring and repetitive Still a better banshee than Banshee.
