DERebecca is actually a cyborg from the future sent back into the past to gather info from the community. In order to fulfill her role, she has to play the game as well.

  That isn't entirely true. I've played with DERebecca plenty in recent months and she plays plenty. She makes a point to grind out everything like a F2Per would have to as well from what I can tell.

 

 I've also played with DETimo once. He is pretty cool.

 

 And there are plenty of other members of DE who are on quite a bit. I know one or two DE guys like to lurk region chat from time to time.

They play. Ive never met or spoken to anyone that has a hand in developing a game that didnt play the game heavily at least during the development cycle. It would be like a chef not tasting his own food.
