How long does complete chat suspension last?

I haven't been to the region chat for months and I got complete chat suspension for linking a zaw. The game did allowed it to be named like that but get a full chat ban for it? I would understand a simple chat ban from the region chat but from the whole chat system?

No warning. Instant full chat suspension. This is stupid.

hate speech should be zero tolerance, I've seen what people are naming their kitguns.

Plus the ban without warning is just a matter of the chat bot keeping it PG 13, or just a chat mod getting thirsty.

 

Next time just talk like you're talking to children with no chance of getting any curse words/curse text variants (even memes) and don't bother linking meme zaws.

It's just the simple matter of free speech being hammered down a lot faster in Warframe public chat than many other MMO games that players are used to. Plus there's no pre-ban warning system or even a "curse word avoidance chart" in place so it's going to be a frequent thing.

 

It's to the point that the simplest of words will get you banned. It's a problem when players have no idea which words to avoid outside the obvious.

I bet, OP named his zaw something like "gey" or so. He had to work around the filter, because he couldn't use "gay". In this case he knew that he did something bad. And then this whole thing is totally on him...

That's why there are chat mods. Even then there are only so many variations possible until nobody even bothers to put in effort to find unicode/keypad symbols as replacements. They even have websites with prebuilt curse prevention libraries, it's not impractical.

It isn’t difficult to not be an idiot. People have to actively think about ways to circumvent restrictions because they think it is funny, then come here and complain when they’re caught out. By the very nature of the words used and their manner, it is malicious. The only incompetence displayed is their general incompetence at life.  

Just approach chat like talking to a random person in the street. If you can’t do it decently then best to avoid it entirely.
