Meta rivens were going for 4-7K and climbing, then DE announced Disposition balancing and now something that would sell for 5k is not selling for 800p and lets not coy about this, DE did disposition balancing to keep revenue coming in, if riven prices are 5000 plat the only one who benefits from that sale is seller, at those prices people weren't buying rivens and thus DE was loosing $$$$$$$$$$$$ Funds, so they came up with a way to drop prices to increase over all sales. its self evident De is introducing all this new content that tells me the money in plat sales has been very good in 2019 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DE has stated that riven dispositions are subject to change with every new prime access. Popular weapons are expected to change. *melee are currently excluded until 3.0. This is how rivens were always meant to work. You do not get compensation when a system that is designed to be updated gets updated. I invested my time in this system, and when it's changed in the way that naturally time parltly disappear, i want at least part of this time back. I personally do not understand this obsession with them when it is pretty much set in stone that they will indeed change. To be honest, complaining about rivens (whether in the forums, reddit, or in game) will produce similar results as the replies you're getting now. DE made it clear some time ago that rivens are subject to whatever change DE feels like making. A person who buys a riven knows the riven may be substantially different in 3 months' time. They're willing to pay large amounts of premium currency for what the riven is now, and that's their choice (with attendant consequences). And anyone looking at the market now should assume that anything with a 500+ plat price is going to get down-dispo'd within a 6-month time frame. Would I like kuva for the rivens of mine that got hammered? Sure. Am I disappointed that my Stradavar and Tiberon rivens* got the nerfbat? Yes. I just don't think DE has any reason to provide it; I knew what I was getting into. * Fortunately, those came from veiled rivens so they were only about 100 plat total.
