REQUIRE EXPLANATIONS IN NEW EVENTS AND UPDATES

You people really need to explain or put tutorials on newly updated missions and such. Like Kuva Lich for example, tried so hard with a potato gun for months just to get that powerful gun and when I beat it it showed 2 options. With no reasons or explanations, you have to choose out of the blue within a few seconds. Chose the wrong one, lost the weapon and stuff. You people are sometime unreasonable and crazy. There were several cases like that, no wonder people quit the game. We didn't born with full knowledge of warframe systems in our head. Put some quotes or a phrase or two like telling what'll happen when one chose this option or other.

wiki exists for a reason, use it to learn about features in game that have been out for a good deal of time an you dont know about.

you had choice to kill it an take the weapon or keep the lich alive

That's not an excuse to omit basic tutorials.

Aye. Just because the game has a wiki doesn't mean that the game needs no in-game tutorials. Just because you can find information about an item on the wiki doesn't mean that the item shouldn't have in-game stat and mechanic descriptions. Using the wiki as an excuse for not having tutorials or proper in-game descriptions is just.... pathetic.

yet wiki exists for a reason as maybe someone doesnt understand how something works or maybe they are looking to find out some tips an tricks on it.
the wiki is a source of information OP is a pc player an just now complaining about the lich system when its been out long enough for them have checked the wiki or even asked about it but yet its clear they didnt.

Not all games will have tutorials on game mechanics an other games annoy you when ever there is a mechanic that could have been introduced or something the story has to explain to you but maybe you already learned about it while trying out everything you could think of.

DE often puts tutorials in the codex an sometimes it doesnt as the community does offer help as the wiki is not owned by DE but rather is run by users.

many users use the wiki when they dont know about something yet you complain that there was nothing to tell you how the lich system worked

I don't want to depend on the wiki all the time, a lot of player with a lot of informations although most aren't even clearly explained and more or less related. I just want to play and enjoy the game. Like I said, kuva lich is only one of those problems not to mention the bugs and system issues. Lastly, just like the previous person said,

''Just because the game has a wiki doesn't mean that the game needs no in-game tutorials. I've played a lot of games, none of them needed to be looked up on wiki. DE have what it takes to put in a little tips and tricks but they still don't. Some people like to enter the game, and enjoy it without looking up to anything. And the wiki isn't official so don't get full of yourselves. What I want is easily comprehendible fresh experience.

The wiki should be an optional, nice-to-have thing to look up info in a more organized(?) manner. We shouldn't have to depend on an external source like this.

yes but the OP had not played the lich system an should have looked into it like many other players that have been returning since the lich system dropped.
i could even argue they could have look up a video on the lich system to understand it.

i was pointing out that there was source of information for them to learn about the system

The options are vanquish and convert. Game makes a big deal out of the weapon being a thing you might be working towards, so you know at least one option is going to give it.

You vanquish something, it dies. Dead liches don't need weapons, you will get to have that weapon.

You convert something, it lives and serves your purposes. To fight for you, the Lich needs something to attack with. It keeps its weapon, you get the Lich.

There's nothing subversive about that, each option does what you'd reasonably expect the result to be. The best you could say is that it's uncertain whether a Conversion would give you the weapon or not, but since Vanquishing is definitely going to give it (what else do you stand to get out of killing them outright?), you choose that as the logical safe option, lo and behold, you chose correctly.

Going forwards, DE have already started to persist the introductory explanations we get on new major updates under the "Update History" button (not just showing the current one, you can go back to previous entries). This is unfortunately too recent an initiative that it doesn't extend back to the launch of things like Liches, but assuming it's going to keep all those 'previous' entries permanently from here on out, that should be a significant step towards meeting those demands of yours for the future.

What are the benefits to actually converting a Lich? What does a converted Lich do? When do they spawn in? How long do they stay once they've spawned in? Can I own multiple converted Liches? If so, then how will the spawning of friendly Liches be impacted by how many/which converted Liches I own? Does the game provide you with those explanations in-game?

Agree, especially liches in general are a mess for new players. Almost nobody seems to know that

1. If you dont kill lich immendiately he/she spawns more thralls thus resulting in more murmur per game.

2. If you down the lich three times without stabbing he/she goes away (despawns)

3. If your lich reaches level 5, the anger meter wont reset anymore on stab.

And many other minor things..

Also the fact that you cant anger your own lich on other peoples nodes is just annoying, I used to let everyone pick map when hosting a game but it makes my own lich hunt MUCH slower. They should allow anger meter rising on every thrall kill.
