You are imagining it wrong. The movement will never match a warframe. If you really have to think about it, imagine a necramech fighting a Profit taker with head tracking. Make the side step inclined with the head tracking and not loose any speed ( I believe the mech sidestep still need to be fixed) , thats the movement part done. Lastly , snap an archwing on the mech with head tracking active. Archwing already have movement similar to that we see in AC and just missing the head tracking part.  Add some big guns/ ability that is actually useful (i mean rocket launcher, could be similar to seeker volly). I don't see why you think it will turn into a bigger warframe.

That is precisely the issue a lot people have. We don't get to use our warframe. Necromech is very limited. Imagine running a Armored Core 6 mission as a Warframe. With the full Arsenal at your disposal. Will you grab Loki, sprint through all the enemy units and only go for the objective? Or grab Wukong with Kuva Bramma and blow up everything that moves? Maybe even use Saryn to nuke the entire map. Or teabag with Octavia while the enemy dies to 'Baby Shark.' Warframes are way too powerful. Anything else is just subpar.

Could they? Yeah probably if they wanted to make a mech game trying to rip off another IP.

Should they rework Necramechs into that gameplay? No and why would they?

Mechs already have their own gameplay of effectively being "clunkier" frames with a more involved movement system (mech movement is actually very fluid if you take time to learn it). Meanwhile AC's gameplay isn't really a fit for a horde shooter like Warframe anyways. Even if it'd work fine for bosses the problem is that 1v1 combat is only a tiny fraction of the game.

So why ruin what's already a perfectly fine but underutilized system for something that would be out of place and even more underutilized?

The problem is... wouldn't that just be a Warframe? But bigger?

What differentiates a Warframe and a Necramech, exactly? Their Speed and Dexterity, or rather, their lack thereof. Necramechs are big, and weighty. They're clumsy, but powerful. Remove that differentiatiation, and you just have a bigger Warframe.

I'm pretty sure a Necramech is a suit... for your suit.

To make it even remotely worthwhile they'd need content to fit such gameplay since it wouldnt work on maps we have. They'd also need to give us a reason why a mech would be used instead of a frame or archwing in those same situations since they are all of roughly the same size. If they were massive actual mechs like those is AC or Mech Warrior it would make sense why we wouldnt use a frame isntead, since the frame would be as big as a "toe" of a mech at that point.

So without proper content a rework towards a AC system would just mean us flying around, jet dashing and so on out on the plains, fortuna or deimos versus mobs that can never touch us. What would be the fun in that or what of it would justify a rework? The charm with AC and other actual Mech games is that you are massive and stomp around in huge factories, ports or cities and take on other massive mechs in combat.

In the end Necramechs are more like Dreadnaughts than Mechs, or to put it in more accurate WH40k terms, Necramechs are more like Dreadnaughts than a Wolfhound.
