(just realized someone else is doing this to, I promise I'm not copying them!) I present you: The Adventures of Excalibur Umbra Pendragon (sorry the drawings get worse over time, I ran out of time) Day 1: Portal Spoiler On an awesome trek through the misty plains of eidolon, Lil Excalibur Pendragon sees a spooky portal, where does it go? Day 2: Fangs Spoiler My trusty Raksa Kubrow, Kaious, Alerts Lil pendragon to something in the portal, What is it, boy? :D Day 3: Decade Spoiler Kaious barks excitedly as a shadowy figure begging to appear in the portal. The portal begins to send light and dark beyond the trees. It should be terrifying, but something is…nostalgic about this figure. Then it speaks. “Tenno, I need your help.” Day 4: Crystal Spoiler As the portal stabilizes, the figure becomes clear. It is none other than Umbra himself! He takes out a huge crystal, then says. “Naberus is now upon us, and we got to get all the Tenno together for the party! Use this crystal as a beacon to bring us together!” Pendragon thought that the situation was going to be more dire too XD. Day 5: Beetle Spoiler So Pendragon went speeding back to the town of Cetus to find all the Tenno, with a helpful ride on a little buggy fren :D Kaious followed, howling happy. ”return to the plains with all the Tenno and I’ll open the portal again” called Umbra. Day 6: Throwback Spoiler As lil Pendragon was making way to Cetus, a Grineer squad saw pendragon and opened fire. Luckily Pendragon was too fast, and made to the giant Cetus gates without any wounds. But not before "throwing back" a few Aegrit bombs. (my humor is broken i know) Day 7: Knives Spoiler Meanwhile, on Umbras side of the portal, our Boy Umbra found some trouble at the Naberus party site. some corrupted were still in the void tower Umbra had clear out! With his Kunai, he started to reclear away the corrupted Day 8: Whisper Spoiler Once the corrupted were gone, Umbra reorganized his weapons and started to head back to the chamber. And then… …la la La La LA La la la… huh? What is that? WHO GOES THERE? Umbra thought, he was pretty angry and tired of this and wanted to start decorating already!!! Day 9: The Man in the Wall Spoiler "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!!!!" The voice was mr spoopy man himself, Wally the guy forever in a giant wall. Umbra was surprised to see him in this part of the void. "i r u l e n a b e r u s , K i d d o. AHAHAHAHahahhahahahHAHAHAHHAhha" Wally bellowed hysterically. Day 10: Orowyrm (aka my best art yet!) Spoiler As Wally began a monologue of creepy Naberus facts, Umbra decidedto look around the void, its endless cyan skies stretch to the ends of the universe, to see if there was anything for Wally to play with so the Naberus party could commence. he journeyed for a few minutes till a shadow covered the floating island he was on. a great orowyrm stared at him curiously. “you’ll do.” Day 11: Inspire Spoiler Meanwhile, Pendragon told the Tenno in Cetus about the party, and they all agreed to find more to celebrate with! Day 12: Solidarity Spoiler In a group circle, the shard glowed, giving them a beacon of hope. Day 13: Courage Spoiler Pendragon raced the last bit on the Velocipod to their Liset, and began to prepare for a chilly journey. Day 14: Rally Spoiler On the tops of ceres, Excalibur Pendragon pushed through the snow to find some more Tenno, telling them about the party. Day 15: Uplift Spoiler On the way back, Pendragon found a lost little volt stuck in the snow, and helped them out! Day 16: Family Spoiler Back on earth, the lotus made a surprise visit, wondering what the Tenno were doing. we are having a party, want to join? sorry Tenno I’m busy, but have fun! Day 17: Dedication Spoiler All this party planning I very tedious, but it will be worth it, Pendragon thought! at this rate, we will have covered all the origin system except…. oh no…. :/ Day 18: Kaithe Spoiler Pendragon hoped on their loyal Kaithe, and raced to find the entrance of the last place to visit and the location of the party: the void. Day 19: Cave Spoiler It was a dreadful entrance, a spooky can that lead to nowhere. Excalibur paused at the entrance, “sigh, let’s hope I’m not too late” Day 20: Spiral Spoiler As they went in, the portal opened and sucked pendragon in. AAAAAAAAAAAAA Day 21: Assassin Spoiler GOOOOOOO! Yelled Umbra! The orowyrm roared and charged at Wally, who was just about to finish his monologue. Day 22: Bombastine Spoiler Umbra slipped away for a second from wallys pure rage. A sir Bombastine just spontaneously appeared and said, “heheehhe, he’s the king of Naberus, you gotta de crown him. Day 23: Hunt Spoiler UGH FINE, and umbra went to Wally, who just scared the orowyrm away. Day 24: Beard Spoiler Hmm I need a disguise! Maybe he’ll go away if he can’t find me! Day 25: Hammer Spoiler As umbra said that, several portals appeared in the void, including the a hammer and the one and only Excalibur Pendragon! Day 26: Mirror Spoiler about time! Said Umbra, taking the hammer. apoligises, you literally sent to find all the the Tenno, countered pendragon. Day 27: Crime Spoiler Pendragon was tired of being stealthy, and took out their Ignis Wraith and set the void ablaze. arson is a crime, you know that right? Umbra said. yeah…..oops… Day 28: Bat Spoiler This got Wally’s attention. Shoot. FiNaLlY I C A N F I N I S H MY MONOLOGUE! Hahahahahahahaaa. Day 29: Crown Spoiler Ignis wraith had to go, and was replaced with the exploding donut: Xoris! And pendragon took the chance, throwing it at Wally! AHHH MY HAT, he said. Day 30: Prison Spoiler Yay we did it, and luckily we got a Wally proof jail!Umbra yelled with joy! So happy we have that. ill call the others! pendragon responded. Day 31: Faceless Spoiler Finally the Tenno all sat down for a fabulous Naberus feast, including the youngest Tenno, Dagath! And they had an awesome party for the whole night! Turned out a bit menacing looking but that's cause I had to rush the lines so last minute lol. Maybe I'll return to this one and finish it up some day cause I like the concept of it, just needs a lot of polishing and time Day 2: Fangs Spoiler This one is of Valkyr Carnivex, but I kinda got carried away and forgot that the prompt was "fangs," so the claws ended up getting the focus lol Black and white version: Version with some unnecessary colors added: Day 3: Decade Spoiler For this one I chose to do a somewhat fast digital paint study of a screenshot of gameplay from 2013, the game used to have such a strong vibe with it's pitch black darkness and full-screen over-saturated bloom effects lol The screenshot in question: I got this screenshot from Pascal Brax's video "Warframe 2013-01-03 gameplay" at 2:03 in: Day 4: Crystal Spoiler Went for some kind of Citrine alternative look concept, maybe by the name of Obsidian or something like that. I just wanted to see a more asymmetrical look on Citrine given how geodes are rarely so symmetrical. rushed super hard to get this in on time but I'm happy with the result given how quickly I had to make this Originally I was just gonna post this doodle of an Archon Shard I made in Art History class this morning, but I really wanted to do a bit more than that and I'm glad I did (my sleep schedule isn't though lol) Day 5: Beetle Spoiler Had the thought of portraying Inaros' Scarab Swarm, I'm not sure sure that was communicated well enough but I'm happy with the look I gave Inaros at least lol Day 6: Throwback Spoiler Ink, pen, and crayon sketch of one of the infested from the Warframe 1999 trailer I've been adding to throughout the day whenever I've had time. Nearly forgot to post this in time, just a minute before midnight! Day 7: Knives Spoiler Hollowframe 53 (+Umbra): Kullervo (Kullervo in the style and themes of Hollow Knight) Can't believe I actually got this pretty much done today, though it's deviated from the Hollow Knight style a bit I'm really really happy with how it came out! Day 8: Whisper Spoiler Roughish sketch of the Fragmented One and Fragmented Tide from the Whispers in the Walls trailer, might clean this up in the future Day 9: Man in the Wall Spoiler [LOHK] From brooding gulfs are we beheld by that which bears no name. [XATA] Its heralds are the stars it fells, the sky and earth aflame. [JAHU] Corporeal laws are unwrit, as suns and love retreat. [VOME] To cosmic madness, laws submit, though stalwart minds entreat. [RIS] In luminous space, blackened stars, they gaze, accuse, deny. [FASS] Roiling, moaning, this realm of ours, in madness, lost shall die. Day 10: Orowyrm Spoiler Really ran out of time on this one lol, meant to be a sketch of a time I once fought Lodun using Nyx's Absorb to climb him outside of the arena boundaries lol. I'm hoping to get back to this one at some point (like a lot of these submissions) cause I really was enjoying the composition and colors, I just didn't give myself enough time to actually do it justice before midnight. Day 11: Inspire Spoiler Duviri bardic inspiration Some other versions: Day 12: Solidarity Spoiler Solari-dity :) Day 13: Courage Spoiler Kahl's courage Only an hour for this one up to the very last minute, so glad I made a quick pencil sketch this morning that I was able to use because otherwise idk if I would've gotten this in on time, hopefully things are somewhat identifiable in this piece but it really is just a mess of lines and color lol The rough pencil sketch I made during art history class this morning: Day 14: Rally Spoiler Styanax rallying against Leviathan Day 15: Uplift Spoiler Octavia displaying a masterful performance with her shawzin. Chose to finish this sketch I made from memory during class a few days ago when I was exploring ideas for Day 11: Inspire. I ended up not using it for that day, but I felt I had to finish it at some point. I also couldn't come up with a much better idea today lol Day 16: Family Spoiler (Why do you destroy us? We are your flesh.) Day 17: Dedication Spoiler Loid displayed true dedication as his mallet struck against gold. was busy all day so this one is really rushed, though I guess I ended up being late by 15 minutes anyways :( Day 18: Kaithe Spoiler Hollowframe 54 (+Umbra): Dagath (Dagath in the style and themes of Hollow Knight, based on the Mask Maker and the stags) (don't mind me completely forgetting to post this one yesterday lol) Full Hollowframe group so far (54 + Umbra): Dagath pretty much doesn't fit this barely at all but I think it's funny anyways lol Day 19: Cave Spoiler Hildryn fighting the Exploiter Orb inside a cave that was once known as Deck 12. My Hildryn fashion that I referenced for this: Day 20: Spiral Spoiler An all-consuming joy, a tormentous mania, a never-ending spiral. A vague sketch of the Dexennial Drifter caught between the harshest of joys and the deepest of voids. Bonus pencil sketch of the Dexennial Drifter suit from class: Day 21: Assassin Spoiler Ash need not move a single muscle to call forth a storm of blades that leaves nothing but carnage and shadow in its wake. Day 22: Bombastine Spoiler WHO NEEDS SLEEP WHEN I CAN DRAW THE ILLUSTRIOUS, THE MAGNIFICENT, BOMB-A-STINE Day 23: Hunt Spoiler Ivara and the Myrmidon. The huntress and the hunter, a god and a god slayer, both wielding powers beyond imagining. Day 24: Beard Spoiler :) Day 25: Hammer Spoiler I challenged myself to not do any linework for this one and just go straight into it with a wet paint brush, kinda frustrating at the beginning but I'm happy with the result :) (very minor New War spoilers below) Spoiler At first it was just gonna be this Solaris worker I took a screenshot of two weeks ago for Day 12: Solidarity, but I got kinda carried away with the colors and effect again and they ended up becoming a bit gilded and menacing with a totally different setting, feels like they could be a boss fight now lol Day 26: Mirror Spoiler oh god it's 3am i shouldve started this earlier, i had the day free cause midterms are over but instead i just played the game all day lol left half is a bit empty cause there was going to be one or two characters there originally, didnt have time for that of course but i might come back to this and add them at some point Day 27: Crime Spoiler Kullervo caught in the act, springing forth mid-swing with his legendary sword, Vaenn. kind of a mess but oh well lol, fun with colors and effects as usual fun fact I accidentally replaced the Krita file for day 26 with this at some point, which would have been really bad if I hadn't backed it up in my google drive lol Day 28: Bat Spoiler Octavia Maestra + Nyctalus Ephemera = Bat2 3am again uh oh it's like i'm incapable of spending less than 4 hours on a piece lol Black and white version: Day 29: Crown Spoiler A crown befit for the Feyarch of Earth, Oberon. (backshot of Oberon, Ferosh helmet + Feyarch skin) the 3am curse has been broken (for now lol) Day 30: Prison Spoiler The Wolf may have escaped the pen, but he has never been truly free.
