PSA: Hotfixing Paused until Jade Shadows

Howdy, Tenno!

Stalker is still getting settled in (he doesn’t like to sit still)! But, while someone goes to wrangle him back in place, Hotfixing will be paused while we add the final touches to June’s Jade Shadows Update (no thanks to Stalker teleporting around...). 

We have some Code Fixes coming with Jade Shadows (for a deeper understanding of what “Code” means, our Lexicon for Update Notes will tell you more)! Some of the issues that will be fixed are: 

  • Being unable to throw Voidrig’s Necraweb Grenade. 
  • Melee Attacks can reduce companion Overguard. 
  • Energy colors appearing incorrectly for certain Ephemeras and VFX-heavy Syandanas/etc.  Red and Black were the most obvious culprits.
  • Temporal Prime Ephemera causes Focus Badges to appear overly large.
  • Rare cases of mismatched mission rewards. 
  • Issues with Necramite waypoints not spawning in Netracell missions. 
  • Lingering cases of sticky corners. 
  • Function loss when attempting to exit Sharkwing.
  • We’ve improved the consistency and performance of underlying systems for LoS cases! Most LoS checks should benefit, but should offenders arise, we can now seamlessly integrate them into a new, more accurate system with a much faster response time. To list a few benefiting abilities:
    • Gara's Passive
    • Mag’s Crush (specifically only in Conclave when cast by Specters)
    • Nyx’s Psychic Bolts
    • Inaros’ Scarab Swarm
    • Wukong’s Primal Fury
    • Gyre's Rotorswell
    • Gyre's Coil Horizon
    • Styanax's Axios Javelin (Vortex)

While we work on Jade Shadows, here’s what’s happening in Warframe: 

Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 6 is live!  With it came the Kuva Lich’s Sobek and the Tenet Sister’s Glaxion variants! You’ll also find new Augments for these weapons within Nora’s Mix Vol. 6.

But, let’s shine a light (but not a Jade one) on all the things that’ll continue onwards:

  • Prime Time, Warframe International and Devshorts live streams will continue! 
  • Devstream 180 is gearing up for May 31st at 2 p.m. ET! Expect a closer look at Jade herself and our new Ascension gamemode. Devstream 180 is our last Devstream before TennoCon 2024, so tune in for the TennoCon 2024 schedule reveal and earn yourself an Umbra Forma Blueprint Twitch Drop along the way.
  • On that point, TennoCon 2024 is only two months away—on July 19th and  20th! Although physical tickets are sold out, we do have a waitlist for any slots that may open! TennoCon 2024 Digital Packs are available for purchase if you will be joining us from home.

Could you please look at CODEX BUGS? There are some bugs that prevent players to complete some codex entrees, such as: The Silver Grove shrines not completing/unlocking for some players, (Kuva Fortress Scanner) scans counts as Corpus Security Camera, Infested Deimos enemies (Deimos Swarm Mutalist Moa / Deimos Swarm Mutalist Moa Eximus / Deimos Leaper) don't exist or spawn anymore, Sentient (Choralyst) even fully scanned do not unlock the entry and (Condrix) is not possible to scan anymore. Narmer Dropships (Buzzard and Condor) even fully scanned do not unlock the entrees. Thank You.

Amen, working hard on completing codex (As much as is possible), but being a player who started after 2020, this is literally impossible. Also combined with the apothic bugs from Silver Grove, which goes all the way back to 2016.

But I wondered, I have 3 unknown Narmer entries, so it makes sense for that to be Buzzard and Condor, but do you know what the third entry is? Or are those the only 2 you lack? Only one I could think of is Narmer Deacon, as it never completes the scan during Archon weekly. But name seemingly doesn't fit, as it's between Narmer Leech and Mine ospreys.

In addition to those you mentioned, there's also the old J3-Golem, as well as Devotee + Saturn Six Fugitive which is not possible to scan any longer, from the Nightwaves from some years ago.

Not to mention all the crazy scans, where you need to jump through 30 hoops to have a chance at a scan. Like Cinderthresh Hyena, which requires you to get a bugged Corpus Supra Target which doesn't spawn as an eximus and looks like a synthesis target, which still has the Supra ability to spawn hyenas (Which the eximus version doesn't, obviously)

Crush isn't line of sight, though.

But... Mag's Crush doesn't have LoS, does that mean it's gonna get added?

I said it in the thread too, but crashes can happen for a variety of reasons - some of the ones listed by users there are due to Intel 13th and 14th gen chips & Oodle, and some are due to driver issues (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG in particular indicates the app is making a call and it's not responding in a timely manner). If you get a crash handler and submit it, they're probably internally reviewing them; otherwise, you'd need to provide more info about the crash. There's not some magical code fix they can plop in to resolve 20 different crash reasons, many of them require user input or fixes if it's an issue with the system itself.

Wait, what?  Crush is Mag's only good skill right now.  Pull is currently "invitation to stumble (no worries if not)" and Magnetize is "I hope you're standing perfectly still on level terrain otherwise this is just a waste of energy" so if Crush is getting the same treatment, is she just gonna be Polarize and an obsolete passive?

Hopefully there will be a fix coming for getting stuck in Archwing underwater in Uranus on missions that use the Grinner Sealab Tileset! About one out of every 20 times I try to transition between below to above the water the animation that is supposed to show that transition self cancels and I get completely frozen in place.  Can't switch to operator mode, can't move, fire weapons or use abilities. /unstuck does nothing when this happens. The only thing I can do at that point is to quit the mission. Very annoying when that happens during a syndicate mission, especially when one of the medallions is under water to begin with!

Seems to be an issue for any type of mission using that tileset so I've been avoiding missions that take place on it ever since Dante was released as that's when I first noticed the issue happening.

How about sticky... obstacles while rolling using frames like Protea, Xaku and probably few others?

The same thing happens sometimes when pushing the objects for Duviri puzzles. The effect of being completely stuck is 1 to 1. You might want to look into that also.
