Psycho1848
...or not? I can´t find any Word about this game is still in the Beta. Not in the Launchersettings. Not in the Login Screen behind the Client-Version. Not on the Homepage. Not in the Steam Shop. Not anywhere else. Is it released without Announcement? [Edit:] old Login Screen (its german means Open Beta) Edited March 30, 2015 by Psycho1848
AdunSaveMe
No. This game is technically still under the beta label, as it is unfinished.
SquirmyBurrito
create a fresh account and/or fresh install and it will make you sign a beta agreement. The game is still in beta, DE just stopped pasting 'beta' everywhere for some reason a while back.
Rydian
Squirmy is correct. http://s8.postimg.org/qq8nbpkp1/open_beta_launcher.png You can find copies of the Open Beta Agreement in multiple languages in your install as well.

Spindle99
Warframe is as final as it will ever be.
(PSN)MoRockaPDX
Ok, fine. I have posted on this before. Warframe is part of a breed of early release games that is community funded. Many games get funded in different ways. Star Citizens is building in blocks and is funding itself by selling premium ships to players to bide their time until the full game models can be released. Warframe went to alpha and beta as fast as they could and then mixed is funding by founders packs, prime access (premium bundles) and in game purchases for accessories and rushing builds. This allow DE to build out the game, and it is a give and take process. It is very good in a number of unique ways, and it has flaws that are mostly part of the necessity of the finance model. If you want DE to make Warframe like games from big publisher do, then give them millions of dollars up from to develop it. And we won't need to go through this free to play business. Hitomo
beta is only a term used for savety ... look, the game is not called beta becasue it is still being worked on to its final form, it is a game that is constantly updated with new and untested code, thats why they call it a 'beta' there is also the aspect of making the player feel like being part of the development process but DE made 8 million $ profit in 2014 and they get money from different sources, they spend more on advertising then for the stuff they hire ... since they decided to go the dark long route of free to play they make much more money then before, but the game itself would be much better of course if puplished ina traditionel way like a sub MMO a few years ago all free to play games were called beta, simply to avoid refunds and stuff, also u cant accuse them of bait and switch nerfing just for generating profit ... cause its beta, right? u spend real money on a virtual currency, wich u then spend on a buggy game in beta ... said game is advertised with a budget of over 5 million dollars .. u really should start to draw some lines ... izzatuw
Is it still in beta? I'm a say yes only after melee feels smooth and unique and making more combos aside Royal Tempo and Crimson Dervish useful. Parkour is good and smooth. Stealth doesn't mean invis Loki/Ash and when grinding is in a better state.

No, beta is a term used to perfectly label the fact that this game is still in development. Can I see a source to confirm that DE made 8 mil and then spent 5 mil of that on advertising? Rydian
beta is only a term used for savety ... Beta is a stage of development for software. It has nothing to do with money or time. Generally software goes Alpha -> Beta -> RC -> Release. Alpha: The stage in which the barebones framework is still being written. In Warframe's case the Alpha stage was most likely engine work and base mechanics for things like matchmaking, sound, all the nitty-gritty stuff the game is built off of. The length of this stage depends on the complexity and customization of the desired engine, such as whether a third-party one is being used or a new one is being created. Beta: The stage in which the framework is done, and the program is still having the core features added that the developers wish to have for the official release. In Warframe's case that is where we are. The engine has the main supporting features, but game features and overhauls are still being done, such as the addition of Archwing and Kubrows and stuff and game modes and concepts that the devs have wanted to include. RC: Release-candidate, this is generally a relatively-short stage, akin to beta, but focused on bug testing and fixing things (opposed to adding new content). Release: Once the devs think that the software in question is complete enough for an official release, this happens. The big 1.0, etc. Additions to the game do not have to stop here, of course, but the first 1.0 release is a milestone in the initial development. Warframe already had Alpha and then Closed beta, and it moved into Open beta with the public release of Update 7. Older updates like update 5... https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/613-update-5-is-here/ Were during the Closed beta period.
