RafaelFuchs Posted April 21, 2015 Share Posted April 21, 2015 i'll play as long as it's entertaining. currently the grindwall to get things is a tad obnoxious, but nothing i can't work around. i have however been playing less and less. the game is just burning out slowly from grindwall and pointless nerfs to things that don't need it while something that has been needing a buff either gets a joke for a buff or nothing at all. it's off putting when you know something is in need of love, but all they get is a brick to the face (RIP excalibur). hopefully his rework will be an actual buff not another joke. Warframe has grown on me during the last 2 years of playing, and even if I'm in love with my ME3 multiplayer memories, this game is probably one of the best I've ever played and enjoyed this far... The "UI 2.0" nearly killed this game for me, didn't play for months. Only solution has been to completely ignore it, which isn't very easy. Something similar could easily come along in the next update, just got to take it one update at a time. However, as long as DE keeps adding filler instead of fixing the core game it might not even be necessary. I think I've gotten my founder pack's worth in gameplay, so I wouldn't really be all that mad if/when I stop playing. Only sad about the possibilities squandered. I've tired separate times on DOZENS of eggs... to get a Kubrow that wasn't pygme, and had a decent energy color but also wasn't a freaking bear/pit bull. Through the mercy of RNGesus I finally got one, and in my min/maxing ways... I need about 5-6 Forma. So... being honest? If I lost THAT kubrow, in addition to the time investment of 5 or 6 forma. It's my favorite and most played game so it would be pretty hard to make me leave it and nothing so far has ever made me consider it. Though I would maybe possibly leave it if it ever became not f2p because a wealthy person I am not. Even then I would still likely splurge some cash just to play new updates. That's life, it can't be helped. As for quitting, - Pay to win. - As long as this game doesn't turn out to be like DC universe online, Battlefield Heroes, Transformers Universe online, etc. - At least, until another game comes out & which is better than warframe. I have yet to see one so far. - Bad customer support. - Solo was the most attractive feature for me, I prefer single player experience. From the outside looking, this is a bad game in some ways. My son, who thinks everything is cool, rolls his eyes when he sees me play. He says "dad why are you always playing the same level?" This has been going on for MONTHS now. He's used to seeing me play games, but usually I move onto something else after a month or two. Still- I'm addicted to it though. It's like tweaking and tuning a hobby car. Only thing that will make me quit right now is off they somehow ruin that sense of progression and decision making. The power creep is real. If I log on and see they've added 6 more mod slots and primed flow, I'll probably quit soon after. I HATE feeling OP. Spindle99 Posted April 21, 2015 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Pretty simple really. When I get bored enough to try another game and that game clicks with me (Me4 or Destiny if it comes to PC). Putting weekly patches out isn't enough, they have to be good patches. Most players will put up with a lot of things (loot/gamble boxes) but you better make the patches good. The worst duo a game like this can do is add more money grabbing cash shop ways and lower the quality of patches, I've seen this a lot and that almost always ticks me off to the point I just look for another game. One thing I do hate with a passion that I'm unsure who to place blame on. Host migration that results back to the Liset conveniently at the 20/30/+40 min/wave. Although I haven't rage quit when it happens, I do die a little. So I fear if this keeps up or worsens, I don't think I could continue on. (I haz gud internetz and don't have server connection issues playing from NA servers to EU servers on other games.)
