Archistopheles
Correction Correction: Hydroid - Water/Pirate/Sea Monster
IvoryTrigger
No direct light frame similar to Frost's direct use of ice but instead light and only has light used as a manipulator to create the main theme, a illusion theme frame Mirage currently. No gravity frame. No fighting frame directly though it somewhat encompasses many frames, the concept would need very distinctive qualities to pass as a original concept. These were concepts falsely cut down by others misguided on the fact that they already existed.
IvoryTrigger
lol correct with pirate underlying theme, except for the sea monster part lol ( no actual sea monster )
Imaru
I don't feel that rhino's underlying theme is earth. I think he's just the token heavy weapons guy. Kinda tanky, kinda slow. Also how is this a concept?
IvoryTrigger
Its for concepts that already exist i never said it was a direct concept just to assist those that don't know existing concepts and need to know them or mis-accused concepts already existing but aren't really in-game yet

Plushy
Loki has manipulation but Nyx doesn't?
IvoryTrigger
Loki is manipulation because that's how he was described long before Nyx, he was manipulation on more scales as well he could manipulated them to attack the decoy, manipulate them by removing weapons and manipulate there locations by switching places. Though nyx can take complete control over one enemy and use a psychic ability to force everyone to shoot each other DE decide to describe them in these ways this it there concept theme materials according to DE and Codex. In short man frames manipulate the enemy even mag with pulling them but he was one that was Described for Manipulation of THE ENTIRE BATTLEFIELD lol not just enemies I hope that answers your question AbyssalFive

Yonm
"Many seem confused". I don't think that's true at all, I'm pretty sure most people know what a frame's theme is, considering it's usually right in their character description. A lot of frames have thematic overlap, so it hardly matters anyway. Anyone making a fan concept shouldn't feel discouraged if their character have some elements that are similar to an existing one. Also, since you're doing the animal thing: Oberon = Deer Valkyr = Cat Rhino = Rhino (don't know how you missed that) Ember = Chicken Excalibur = Horse? 7grims
Correction: Ash - ninja Loki - deceiver/devil Rhino - supposedly: the thank Trinity - the healer Vauban - just Engineer is right Zephyr - wind is more accurate, or on to the point Edited July 22, 2015 by 7grims
7grims
Excalibur = Horse? nop, fish. look at his prime helm and at his pendragon helm, both have fish mouth. and that would also make mag prime, the minion xD Edited July 22, 2015 by 7grims

thehectorid
For me it would be: Ash (Prime) - Assassin / Ninja / (Samurai) Banshee - Sound Chroma - Dragon / Elemental Ember - Fire Excalibur - Swordsman / Knight Frost - Ice Hydroid - Water / Pirate Limbo - Gentleman / Rift Traveler Loki - Stealth / Deceiver/ Manipulator Mag - Magnetism Mesa - Gunslinger Mirage - Illusion / Trickster Nekros - Necromancer / Soul Manipulator Nova - Anti-matter Nyx - Psychic / Mind Manipulator Oberon - Paladin / Balanced Attack & Defense / Horns? Rhino - Brute Strength / Tank / Rhino Saryn - Venomous / Toxic Trinity - Support / Energy(Health) Manipulator Valkyr - Berserker / Cat Vauban - Trapper / Engineer Volt - Electricity Zephyr - Air / Wind / Bird

Lost_Cartographer
It's better to come up with a selection of powers and stats with intent to fill a play style niche, THEN apply a theme to them that fits. Doing it the other way around is actually quite flawed as then the author will feel compelled to stick to whatever is natural to the theme, and that's where we get all sorts of poorly balanced abilities. I mean, think about Valkyr... does ripline really scream "berserker?" Does Frost's #1 or #2 or #4 really require an ice theme, or could have Ember just as easily performed these same actions under the fire theme? Naw. Build the abilities and stats, then apply a theme, then try to apply the theme to those abilities without sacrificing the core of those abilities. Like how Frost's #1 and Ember's #1 are both simple bolts, but one's slows/freezes targets, the other burns targets or leaves an area of denial. Same base ability, but the theme applied as a side effect. Edited July 22, 2015 by Littleman88
IvoryTrigger
Yes many have underlying themes that i didnt mention because those were the most obvious like Rhino- a Rhino everyone can see that i'd write them in for that reason im taking about there abilities and designs that arent always noticed
IvoryTrigger
Though you may be surprised to find many thought Oberon was a split between people thinking hes a goat or a deer, i personally think deer and king of the forest goat doesn't look right in my mind
(PSN)IthalaTheGayGuy
Earth/rock Time Nature/plant Beastmaster Summoner/Druid Angel/healer Warewolf/changeling Darkness and shadow Dual nature/Yin-Yang Tech/Trapper/Builder Sentient-warframe hybrid Grineer-themed Just what I can think of that DE have not done yet. Vauban is easily a trapper... He literally has a giant web that suspends enemies.... Trinity and Oberon are both Healers and Trinity fits the angelic in the comparison to the Holy Trinity (God, Jesus, Spirit) Rhino is very earthen with his Ironskin and Tanky style And Nekros summons an army of Shadows.... I also don't understand what you mean by Sentient Warframe Hybrid..... Isn't that literally what an active warframe is?
SpaceSheepie
I feel Insect/Infested/Swarmy, Earth/Rock/Desert, Time, Plant/Flowers, Sleep/Dreams, Beastmaster/Ranger and maybe Ghost, Metal (I know Rhino could cover this but themes can overlap between frames already) and maybe Music/Dancing are the main "missing" themes for me and there are some popular concepts for some of these on this forum, so hopefully they're coming one day.
