Need advice: what to throw away from inventory

hi!

so i have no platinum since i've occasionally spent all my 50 free platinum (pressing finish button by mistake on workshop i think, i don't even know)

and i will not have platinum for about a month i think.

now i need to throw something from an inventory (i play melee only).

so please tell me what of these is complete crap. i have stances for every of these and i like playstyle of almost all (except fragor but i have skin for it. will throw it anyway, i think, tho)

If you don't have Vengeful Revenent or Crimson Dervish, throw away the plasma sword. If you have one of them, throw away the Lecta. Keep the Sicarus until you bring it to rank 30 as well, so you can extract the MR out of it.

First, don't throw away something before ranking it to 30.  Mastery Rank is starting to become more important, so don't shoot yourself in the foot.  That's goes double for Hate, which is very difficult to acquire again.  

Also, some weapons are used as components to build other ones.  For example, the Cestra is used to build Dual Cestra.  As an early player it sucks having to re-build a weapon you sold just to build another one.

Next, some of those have direct upgrades that you can get later (Fragor Prime, Secura Lecta), so eventually you will probably end up throwing those away anyway.

I won't comment on which one of those is worthless (except Sicarus, which is garbage), but I recommend keeping Atterax, which is God-tier with the right mods.

Finally, if you like running fissures and don't mind sitting on trade chat, 12 plat is not that hard to come by.

no matter what, if you're tight on Slots, throw away the Plasma Sword.
it's the worst Melee Weapon in the game.

Hate is a really good scythe, don't throw it away.

Also dont destroy the Atterax Its a really, REALLY good weapon.

if you happen to have the fragor prime building or ready to build be sure to sell your standard fragor to replace later

Keep Atterax, it's a beast that does well even on high level missions.  I think it's the best weapon you got in that list.

Keep Hate because Stalker is very stingy about dropping that particular blueprint so who knows when you'll get another Hate blueprint from him.

I would use that Cestra to build Dual Cestra, level it up to 30 and then sell. As much as I like Ninkondi, I recommend you use it to build Shaku and level that up to 30, then sell if you don't like it.  

Dump Sicarus after you level it to 30.  Sell Lecta because Atterax is much better and you can get the syndicate version later on.  Sell Plasma Sword.  I like Amphis myself, but it's cheap and easy to build so sell it now if you need space.

 None of those weapons except Hate are difficult to acquire.  Someday when you are a super rich and experienced Tenno you can just buy or make them again if you want.  Anyways:

Amphis: nothing special: Sell

Atterax: scales well with great crit damage, not hard to make again: Keep

Cestra: used to make Dual Cestra: build another one as soon as you have space, make dual cestra, be aware that Secura Dual Cestra is strictly better once you have the Mastery Rank.

Fragor: not hard to make, Fragor Prime is better: sell

Hate: hard to acquire, not a top tier weapon but good enough: keep

Lecta: Easy to make, Secura Lecta is strictly better and should be in the permanent inventory of everyone who ever needs to credit farm: Sell 

Ninkondi: looks cool but not a great weapon, used to make Shaku which is arguably worse: you should build Shaku even if you don't pick it up right away.  This will open a slot for you 

Plasma Sword: it's junk and not that hard to get: sell

Sicarus: can be reaquired easily with credits, Sicarus Prime is strictly better and should be unvaulted soon: sell when you hit level 30.

 

Also, certain parts of the game will be extremely difficult if you keep playing melee only.

Plasma Sword. If you can do relics, try to farm some prime parts and sell them for platinum. 

The Atterax is probably the best weapon you have.

Plasma Sword (should be burned in a fire), Amphis, and Fragor should all go. You have them maxed, and there are other weapons in those melee classes that far outclass all 3 of those.

Keep Sicarus until you get it to level 30. Atterax is one of the best melee weapons in the game, despite what you'd first think, so keep that. Nikondi are fun for some people, so do what you want with those (I personally can't stand them, but other sing their praise). Lecta is a toss-up. It's not a bad weapon by any stretch, but Atterax is 10x better and Secura Lecta is only locked at MR 8, and it's a direct upgrade, so you'd be getting rid of it soon(ish) anyways.

The weapons you can throw are the Fragor, Sicarius, Lecta and Plasma sword. Amphis is used to build the Sydon, Cestra to Dual versions, Ninkondi to Shaku and the rest are fine.

Max the weapons before throwing them away. If you need more space then do spy missions to get some dual stat mods for plat.

Why would he throw a god tier weapon away? The Atterax is the best weapon he has there.

Is there a way to find out what weapons I've maxed out already and what can still get me MR? There are many weapons and I start forgetting what I had leveled already..

For sure I've sold sicarus, I level ranged weapons just for MR constantly (that's why it's crossed out on picture)

The biggest thing I learned is atterax > lecta. I was trying to google this with no success beforehand.

And hate is my favorite so far: I really like mechanics and combos on it, I even had put potato to it and with channeling I can dispatch lvl 40-50 infested crowds with it =))

I liked atterax also but it feels kinda sloppy compared to Hate

 

now i need to decide what warframe is good for melee. i was reading the internets and internets said it's valkyr, but now i've made a valkyr (just now it came out of foundry) and looks like rhino with shield was better (?) o_O. we'll see.. excalibur was strong with 4th ability (but i don't like it since it is not using actual weapons, still attacks are strong tho), rhino has good shield to dive into the skirmish, let's test valkyr..

i'm thinking about chroma now, but i will have to sell excalibur/rhino/valkyr for him. i hope i will decide who it will be to the moment i will be able to claim chroma tho

(it's cool to feel every answer post has value and i wish i could thumb up them more than once =)))

Valkyr is one of the best, if not the best melee frame, and since you have Atterax, you have a meat mincer on the go. 

There are two builds for her : Eternal War Build and Hysteria Build.

Eternal War focuses on her 2 which gives her bonus armor, attack speed for the allies and slow down for the enemies near you upon activation. It makes use of her augment which adds 2 seconds to the duration of the skill for every enemy killed until it hits the cap[ 41secs for me]. You need Strenght and Duration as focus, with a Rage Mod to generate energy and a Life Strike on the weapon to replenish health, you`ll be unstoppable. 

Hysteria build is not what it used to be, but you can stay in it with the right build for 1 minute and a bit constantly at max energy with just flow and max energy, but since you pick up energy orbs while killing enemies, the duration will be even longer depending on how lucky you are with the drops.  You need Efficiency and Duration so that you`ll stay as long as possible in it, and some strenght to do better damage. Her sliding attack and her down finisher wreaks pretty much everything.

The general choices for melee warframes would be Excalibur, Chroma, Valkyr, Banshee(to some extent), Ash, Saryn as far as I use. Considering you have Excal, Rhino and Valkyr I would say you are set well enough for the moment. You do not need to rush for Chroma in my opinion, mostly try to do Syndicates (preferably try going for New Loka, they also have augments for Chroma I believe so a win for later).

If you wish to know the most effective melee frame then I would say Chroma has that taken however to reach such a level would require you to mod(min-max) him heavily. Valkyr and Excalibur however do not need much of min-maxing so they are suited for you. Another favourable alternative is Wukong who you can mod simple enough and will provide a close enough impact as Chroma.

yeah i understand this pretty much already. since i don't like excalibur's 4th i don't like valkyr 4th too, so only option is 2nd and i don't like its duration so much o_O. but mods to enhance duration demand drain, but there are crucial things that are needed too. so i need to forma and/or potato it inevitably.

i was thinking wether do it or wait for chrome.. and i'll try excalibur again after maxin valkyr for sure.

i was scared for a moment cuz new loka is 2nd to worst rep now, but luckily you were not correct, since cephalon suda has chroma's things, and my rep wit is is ok.

at the same time two worst rep perrin and loka have mods for valkyr lol

Yeah my memory sucks for the moment however Loka seems to have some good mods <.< . In terms of min-maxing Chroma; there is a youtube video that shows & explains the min-max much more than I can say.
