The PSA says that I had to accept something the past 2 days but nothing of the such has happened when login-in yesterday or today.

Do I get a pass then? I feelz spezial.

Discuss.

(Seriously no clue what to put here.)

I also haven't seen anything about accepting any updated guidelines.

Logging out and back in again might trigger it, though.

Did that maybe 3 times already since yesterday from cleaning my cookies and such.

Key word DE.

"had to accept...before accessing the forums today."

Ultra specialness intensifyies.

Probably a login thing.

And can I just say, I'm very much against the profanity rule as it is currently written? Censorship of profanity is one thing, but not allowing even censored swearing? Too far. You are not the thought police.

Yeah, I'm concerned about that profanity clause as well.

I am rather curious about this one though;

These changes are not retroactive, but we will review forum accounts and make adjustments if needed.

So, the changes aren't retroactive, unless a Com Mod or DE feels it should be?

So basically, my warning points don't expire?

I didn't have to accept anything either, but that being said we are not exempt. I realize that you are partly kidding, but the use of the forums is consenting to the guidelines.

-Edit-

Just had to accept the new guidelines.

I agree, though imo the forum rules were too strict already.

DE are not attempting to police your thoughts, only your posts, which they are entitled to do as they own the forums.

It's really not that hard to post without profanity, is it?

That's fair, according to the everyman's "common sense" position, except...

DE get to define what is "profanity," as well as what constitutes "censored profanity." There's a lot of wiggle room for them to expand the list of "non-constructive language" beyond the boundaries any of us might use.

It's not time to break out the panic basket necessarily, but I'm a little bothered by the wording.
