  1. You realize the "I dont use shards" line just outs you as a troll right? You argue to not change a system you don't bother with probably for the very reasons everyone else suggests to improve it. And you consistently try to belittle everyone by referring to them as children because they have an opinion different that yours. We all know from every other thing this game has added that shards won't remain as they are. There's no foresight at DE, only hindsight so this will go through the same iterations everything else has until its a passable system. People voicing their opinions here are just trying to speed up the inevitable and get it right.
  2. There's nothing wise here. Just a player who doesn't even understand the poor design decision and embraces it instead of voicing any attempts to improve it for even themselves. If you don't get it and enjoy it that's great for you. That doesn't make it less a bad system in a game that had previously avoided it for the very reason of why it's bad. This is most if why people are annoyed. This was the game that didn't do the garbage everyone else did. And no it won't "balance out" if you miss weeks for other things. Previous content in this game would have allowed you to just play and get it as you wanted.
  3. I like it since it makes an already terrible system worse for everyone that uses it. Everyone opting out just misses some %s they don't need. Great game design. The option to buy these shards in the market and pay plat to forgo the bile cost is probably not too far off since it seems more about punishing players than rewarding them.
  4. This is such a bad take. Not everyone has a steam deck or wants to bring their PC to an event which can be in a different country. They also would have paid for tickets to attend. I was going to post my Gara code here but I'll post it elsewhere for someone. I feel like you're the type of person who would just enter all the codes you can and not really care about anyone else.
  5. Purely subjective, but for me the various grind for warframes was one of the first hooks that got me to love this game. If that varied grind was replaced by a weekly mode I likely would have quit before getting into the game.
  6. Is this a joke response? I don't mind the cost to get in as I have plenty to use for it, but please don't lie about why it's there. 1. What does it even matter if someone hasn't done orowyrm? Once the event ends this restriction wouldn't apply unless I read the notes wrong. I dont mind carrying players, would be easier without a cost... 2. The 5 back logic is just..??? You earned 10 and spent 5. That does not mean you get 5 back. It means you lost half of what you gained just queuing in for the event. 3. If the goal is to get players to buy Kullervo and forgo the event, then make the market pack worth it. It's 600 plat ! and comes with the bare minimum. No extra content whatsoever. Not even a decoration.
  7. When it comes to personal preference then that's subjective. For something like a concert, the date is the date sure. Changing it would be a huge mess. Live service that's not the case and yes I firmly believe them avoiding hard dates is better overall. Software development requires way more flexibility in the timeline, and they aren't making software that requires it be out on a specific day or before a particular event.
  8. Some 5 minute googling shows every single one of those games has missed updates, postponed others, bad releases, etc. FF14 they had to completely remake. Destiny deletes expansion content people had paid for. I have no experience with the others, but they have the same game news the others do. You are just ignoring reality to vent that you want release dates, but even if they had them nothing would change for players. They can pick a date and then change it, so what good does it do?
  9. It's not? Especially not for continuous live service based software developers. We typically get a release month from DE as it nears. If you constantly miss those dates, then there's only negatives to giving release dates. Yes, not being overly pressured improves the development teams quality of life and then also their product. This is a product that is constantly releasing new things. If every one of those releases had a set day to release then that is constant and miserable pressure to be under. They would bleed devs and then we would get no updates. Now add in external teams from the various platforms who have their own schedules, time zone differences, vacations, emergencies, and everything else life adds in. I want the dev team to be having as much fun creating as we do playing.
  10. This is a no win situation for a development team. Technically you know the update is coming and roughly what it contains from what they've already stated. What specific date or window doesnt matter. Attempting dates just puts the pressure on the teams, or more likely, on a specific team they are waiting on. It comes when it comes. This isn't hospital or banking software. I'd rather they get to do their work at the pace they need. They likely already have management pressure or investors prodding them.
  11. It can! I have some issues loading into the game sometimes, but usually a restart resolves and I can play. I still prefer PC as I was never much of a controller/console gamer but its nice to have for work trips or vacations. More info: The deck is great; especially if you have a large library of pc games (gog, steam, etc). My only real issue is the battery life but that's just the limitations of our time. It does have a docking station sold extra if you plan to use a TV screen, that may be worth it when at a hotel. The deck is pretty large and heavy; especially when compared to a switch so if you have to travel light it's probably not a good choice. I have a switch (not lite or oled version) for playing games with my daughter. It's nice, light, and battery is good. I hate the UI but it's not the worst. Haven't played Warframe on it since no cross save, but for the usual Nintendo games it's good. I dont have a library of the games for Nintendo, so it's probably cost me more than the deck overall buying new games. And my daughter just wants to play Untitled Goose Game anyway. No experience with the other devices listed.
  12. Well... we don't really know what it would give us at this time, only that it was something they were struggling to develop. Improving extractors would probably be simpler, and gardens can be decoration items. That solves both problems and can be created in a few days. Obviously this is speculation, but I would bet gardening won't be like you are hoping. Likely more a simple minigame with a foundry tie in for resources related to improving the garden and not much else. Made much less interesting since it'll likely only be in the dormizone and not any other 'housing' area. Hence the suggestion to improve that first.
  13. As others have said, scrap gardening. Make the player homes a choice with full functionality (armory, navigation, foundry etc). I'd love to use the Dormizone exclusively and skip the orbiter/drifter camp. An entire gardening system can be replaced by adding a few models to the decoration store in Market. Waste of developer time.
