What was so good about that "kingpin" anyways?  It didn't catch my interest at all back then, so i dont really remeber...

I think people heard "Work together with your Clan/Dojo..." and got excited about that, seeing as the last close to exciting thing with working with your Dojo's was the whole Solar Rails dealio. (Hema does NOT count)

I already predicted it was likely going to just be a Solaris style, multi-mission-maybe farm-fest, that depended on your other clan-mates to pitch in, and that the whole thing would get real old real fast. (I mean, how many of you still go out of your way to scan Daily Solaris targets? Huh?)

Think you mean Simaris

Devs are focusing on their new toys (outside environment) instead of focusing on what their game already has and making that better.

I think you'll have to wait, they stopped talking about that a long time ago.

This is why i liked the older Warframe updates. They did more for the content that the game already had, as opposed to brand new content. But apparently even people like Steve and Rebecca do not understand this. Can't do much about that.

Mm. Yes. The days of Corpus Ship Tiles sets......and that's it. Yeah, no. I think I'm glad they grew the game, and didn't stagnate on the old stuff.
('Cause, let's face it, EVERYTHING outside of early Access versions is basically "New Toys".)

So like, you missed the Mars/Phobos tileset, the Ceres shipyard tileset, the kuva fortress, the Jupiter tileset. Because iirc, all those happened.

Also, I wasnt referring to anything in specific, but go ahead and make your assumptions.

Go on.

How is 'kingpins' adding to existing content? It's not. It's as new as an open world map. :T

Well, after looking into your statement, I've come to realize you basically want a Mission-Node version of Destiny, and that's it.

If you look at everything that Warframe has branched off and done, vs what they were before and what STRICTLY grew from just that and that alone, yeah. You'd just have a wanna-be Destiny clone, and nothing else.

True, it'd be a Destiny clone with Bullet-Jumping, as that strictly branched and evolved from the Movement system, yes.......but it'd still be Destiny.

So.....with that in mind........go play Destiny? (And pretend the plot is Warframe)

Because it's reusing & focusing on what the game already has instead of trying to shift into something the game is not and hasn't been made for (open area)

Clearly you, have no idea what I want.

I just stated the first few examples that came to mind. Not sure why you'd assume that was all I was referring to but incidentally you are of course doing what I told you to do; making assumptions.

But you already know that they did more things such as actually introducing the grineer queens, alad v building zanuka, alad v becoming mutalist alad, scientist tyl regor etc etc. Things like this utilised the factions we already knew and were familiar with and (literally) gave them names and faces which in turned did alot more world building for alot less work.

I don't however expect you to think about that and understand what I mean. Go on and make more assumptions.

FYI the first Destiny game was released in 2014. Warframe never was and never will be a Destiny-clone. Up to this time, Destiny's still cash-grab garbage.

Because the concept was based on syndicate targets.

Dude.....Dude.....Dude....The idea and concept of Syndicates was ADDED to the game, not grown from some preexisting thing. Please try again. =w="

Enemy Factions and "Capture Targets" existed, yes, as well as Assassination mission early on too.....but that's QUITE the leap and bound to take to say Kingpin would sprout from that alone.

To Summarize this entire Topic:

"Where is the Thing DE said they were going to add to the Game?"

"DE should stop focusing on adding new things to the game to add this new Thing to the Game."

"How dare you say I'm contradicting my points, you're wrong for pointing out a critical flaw in my statement and you're just making things up."
