[Fun Experiment 9] Ballistic Cedo

Cedo is the new hot stuff. Weird glaive alt fire, high status chance, bouncing up to 11 times.

The way this baby works on its own is to fire glaive to build status, and for each status type on a target your primary fire will deal more damage to it. Sweet deal.

The alt fire glaive, since it's meant to only build status has very low damage, very low critical chance, very low critical multiplier. It's basically impossible to raise damage through multipliers like damage mods or Arcanes alone.

That is when Mesa's Ballistic Battery gets on scene.

I have to say, this ability never felt that good unless you use it on low damage weapons, and low damage weapons overall either have high fire rate or are just starter weapons.
If it has high fire rate, the following shots diminish the impact of that enhanced one, as you keep seeing low damage appear on screen. And if it's a starter weapon you don't feel that good using such weapon and the mechanics of it are often too simple, less fun than the higher levels ones.

Cedo is an exception there.

Ballistic battery's bonus damage will Add on top of Cedo's glaive damage, making each bounce (11 times remember) use those sweet +5k damage. With this build you forget about multishot and damage mods. Ballistic battery is bringing all the damage you need and it only works on one projectile.

You concentrate your build into status chance and punch through.
If you need even more damage, at this point, Arcane Arachne and warframe buffs like Rhino Roar will multiply the altered damage of your projectile.
If there's a group of enemy, it will deal a tremendous amount of damage.

As for the practice. Once your ballistic shot has been made using Cedo's glaive, cast new ballistic battery, while the glaive is still flying it'll build up your next shot. That is assuming there are still enemies in the room after one bounce. (Hah.)

Effectively, this means that you could be firing fully charged ballistic battery on every shot.
This tactic doesn't work as well against low level enemies as they die too fast and their low health pool doesn't allow to build damage properly but it works surprisingly well against high level ones, like in Steel Path.

Ballistic battery cost energy per use, and you intend to use it per shot with this tactic. Admittedly, the cost is low but for an ability you'll be using per shot, this could be taking a toll on you.
It is quite tempting to run a Strength+Duration build on Mesa with this tactic. But there's a higher energy cost from Blind Rage.

If you only use it on enemy crowds, there's a rather decent chance you'll find an energy orb in there, but if you don't want the need to be slightly lucky or even to move there, then  having 75% Efficiency and use Energizing dash from Zenurik will be plenty enough to replenish one use of ballistic battery.
That is because the glaive will sometime takes a while to bounce 11 times cleaning the room for you.

Hope you enjoyed the build, this is quite pleasing to use even though your typical Mesa don't need it, this is Fun.

Yes and I'm afraid to talk about it as it's quite buggy but quite fun. I don't really want a fix to show up. I suppose other players that found their way by mixing Ivara+Cedo will also keep their mouth shut for a long time. 🤐

It can be strong, but not practical at all. Whether you dip your toes or dive in entirely. People that already know will understand what I mean.

On the surface yeah, in practice this is much more glitchy and can result to extremely high damage potential given you find the way to master this new mess.
This is also lot less practical to move around if you do though.
