Join us this Friday, September 4th for Devstream #59: Conclave Spectacular & More!    

 

Who: Join Rebecca, Sheldon, Steve, Scott, and Geoff!  

 

What: We'll be doing a two part Devstream this week! We'll start off by taking questions from our community from this thread. Then, Rebecca and Sheldon will be facing off in the Conclave on the Developer build! We're not really sure what to expect, but we know it will be entertaining.

Can we expect Syndicate expansion, quests, or cutscenes?  For example, what are the Arbiters trials and disciplines?  Who are the "weak and innocent" the Steel Meridian swear to protect?  These questions and their answers could lead to Syndicates being more than sinks of Standing that give you cool stuff, and might answer some of the players concerns as to why the Syndicates tend to lean towards extremes.


Personally, I'd like to know WHY the Arbiters think we're awesome, why Suda is superior in size and knowledge as opposed to most Cephalons, what Steel Meridian is truly protecting, where the Red Veil members splintered from, why Perrin Sequence is driven away from the Corpus, why New Loka members are the way they are, Teshin's backstory and relation to the existing characters, and Simaris's backstory.

 

(edit: heck yes maybe now someone will notice this question)

 

(edit edit: The good news is, we've begun to see Teshin's backstory come to light.  Tyl Regor calls him a pseudo-Tenno, and even knows him personally.  This little inkling of info blew the minds of us lore seekers.  Imagine what would happen to the playerbase if Syndicates received similar attention.)

This sounds like it might be more appropriately housed in Prime Time, no? I don't really want to see that stuff in my devstreams...

Hearing more about the progress on the star chart overhaul would be nice, more specifically if/how it'll effect aspects such as resource distribution/acquisition, accessing the Void/Derelicts, risk vs. reward with regard to mission type/difficulty, etc. Possibly even an ETA if one exists yet.

 

EDIT: Also, there are many unique weapons in the game that although sound great on paper have mechanical or statistical flaws that make them feel less effective than they could/should be (ie. the Buzlok, Simulor, Panthera, Mutalist Quanta to name a few). Is there a chance that some of these more interesting weapons could get a second pass to make their mechanics more user friendly and/or bring their stats up to par?

Edit: also one day will primed mods be obtainable through sources other than our friendly nabourhood loot trader?

Q:

 

1. Are there any plans to expand the space on the Liset(that we feel in the real space-ship, not a small shuttle)? Whether such Liset realized in 2.0? Will we rest? (Ordis something right :D)

 

2. Current parkour 2.0 seems incomplete, whether to add to the animation runs and \ or display animation trailer

? (By the way, there are quite realistic animations and looks good)

 

3. Will buff old weapons? Of course, it must be actual (ability to kill at a high level), and not a weapon - but still without any plans to reduce the gulf that now there is an old weapon, recently announced and completely new?

 

4. Can you tell something about the renovation Relay? when, though some will be announced all the innovations of which you told us

 

5. Add the ability to remove a player from the team?(provided that you and the host until the start of the mission). Now It's still doing, but you have to rebuild a team without unnecessary Player.

 

6. What do you think about the idea to give us the opportunity to personally upload avatars in profile with the display in the game and on the forum?. Even if it is VERY expensive and will, of course, moderation.

 

7. User EuanGones offered chic fun-concept to update chat to chat 2.0. Are you planning to take something from there? Because of its very good option.

 

8. When reconsider awards for enter the game? That they are relevant for both the veteran and the game for the beginners.

 

9. As you look out to scavenge (resources, small core) with high-level awards?

 

10. It is the reward for the mission (in loans) increased by the amount of how much you spent on the mission.

For example, for 60 minutes. T4 to get more than the standard 25k.

 

11. [RU Community] The Russian branch in Russian chat going mess (mass violation of the rules) and our moderators (and administrators) can not all rush to punish. This makes it difficult to play. Of course, many of them volunteers, and complain about the lack of the right amount of power and opportunities to counteract lawlessness, but even so - Could not you assist resolve the situation?

Any chance you guys might take a look at risk-reward in Warframe?

 

Most of the meta farming issues come from the fact that its better to do multiple small runs on endless missions against weaker enemies than risking going up against higher leveled enemies.

 

For example:

 

Doing 4 runs up to 15 minutes on a survival gets you more credits and the same rewards as a single run up to 60 minutes, and you get to fight easier enemies.

 

Any thoughts on that?
