Now that the only barrier to them is plat, you're enraged that you can't feel "better" than the poor fools who couldn't obtain them. I don't blame you completely. Sadly Warframe is built on this sort of thought process with its many event-only items and limited time shops. But the fact of the matter is that you weren't cheated. At the end of the day, whether it was limited or not, you bought a product and it's still available to you. Only now, more people can enjoy it with you. What's wrong with that? You really ... really ... don't get it do you? No one so far has complained about what you're saying here. No one. The complaint people have is the unreliable switch in sales tactics. Quite a few of us bought this skin BECAUSE it was available for a limited time (even with the clear indications it might return yearly like some of the proto-skins). I bought several without even having the weapons/warframes for them because I really regretted buying the proto-excal skin the first time around. It's a marketing tactic, which is fine. You feel cheated though when they suddenly become available for all time. Right now I'm sitting on several skins (worth hundreds of plats) because I bought them on a just-in-case basis. If I had known that they would become permanently available in the near future I wouldn't have bought half of them. Gotta love it when people make it this easy. Devstreams talk in advance about the release of these skins and hype them up. We knew they were coming and shouldn't be surprised they cost plat. Buying something limited to have that title stripped away is an insult to any collector anywhere. You can't re-make a 1975 nickle or a first edition book. I want to buy the new syndana, but I never play Rhino or use Jat Kittag, so this is a waste for me and I won't buy the bundle. So now I miss out on a cool syndana and I'm left with a bad feeling because I'm missing out due to you trying to be greedy or something. Please stop, I love this game and want to support it but I not if this carries on. EDIT: Just saw that I can't use platinum to buy the new community made skins from steam workshop. I'm seriously never spending another cent on this game. They already clearly stated that it's a Steam Workshop situation, and not something they wanted to intentionally be exclusive too. They will make them available via plat in the future once it's sorted out. Not going to say much regarding your hyperbolic comment at the end (via "never spending another cent on this game") over something trivial as skins. It is your prerogative after all. However "Speak softly and carry a big stick" is a quote from Theodore Roosevelt when advising the tactic of caution and non-aggression, backed up by the ability to do violence if required. I don't buy it for the exclusive status (not to mention these "time limits" cycle yearly with DE so everyone can get it, it's not exclusive). I buy them because I skipped on proto-excal when it came out the first time (didn't play excal back then) and kept regretting it for over a year. And I'm actually pro-permanency. Hated the fact proto-excal was time limited. My point (several pages back) is that first DE lures you into a quick buy (with a time exclusive limit, which until now have always been on a yearly cycle) only to make the same skins permanent several weeks later.
