  1. Oh, you right... I should ask for a refund.. /s Dude, everything you've said is completely SUBJECTIVE. It might be the case for YOU that you don't like it, but that's not the case for everyone. It's an event where it costs NOTHING to participate, and the average player gets 3-6 months' worth of pre-built forma out of it! But you wanna sit around acting like it's "a sick joke"... What drop tables are you complaining about? The relics that are guaranteed to be Nidus Prime relics? That can be gotten plenty of other places, too? The EVENT SHOP where you can literally earn UNLIMITED standing daily to purchase whatever rewards you CHOOSE with NO RNG? Grief, man.. if you hate it that much, don't play the event. No one is twisting your arm. Everything in it can be traded for, anyway. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but don't try to push it as a fact. I've been playing the game for YEARS, and it's plenty fine without "exploits". If you want to rush hundreds of runs of one particular mission into a small amount of time, because of some sense of FOMO, even though the event runs for almost a MONTH, that's on you.
  2. People not being able to utilize an unintended interaction or exploit anymore isn't "punishment", least of all in the way @Tesseract7777meant it, and you know that. Taking away something that is deemed harmful to the game or to the overall game experience, and you being sour that now you need to go back to "normal" is NOT equivalent to banning/muting accounts for their involvement/utilization thereof. Don't make false equivalences to muddy and draw out an already bloated thread.
  3. They weren't advocating reporting a PERSON. They were responding to the actual original question posed on this thread, whether or not to report this specific set of actions that dictate a particular outcome that bypasses RNG, as a "bug/exploit"... to which this posted said "Yes", basically. In otherwords, just move this topic to Bugs/Feedback and let DE deal with it, and move on....
  4. Right?? I mean, we should make some sort of armor for them... to better protect them... maybe something that enhances their strength to wield big weapons,.. Like a "frame".... for "war"... Gee, wonder if the game has anything like that in it... ? /s
  5. I do have to wonder if Ballas' "amalgams" might just be a bigger leap forward than we might expect... I mean, Sentients are second in power only to... the Tenno. And given Ballas helped create the frames... AND given "Caliban" is the next "new" frame, being half sentient... Does it not make sense that we might be gearing up to fight fully Sentient-controlled Warframes? :O I mean, I can't think of a cooler final showdown!
  6. But you're assuming the devs WANT you to "reliably keep his stacks up". Nidus' stacks being 15+ means he can't be killed... Making that easier to obtain and maintain would just make him EZ-Mode immortal. The game's got enough powercreep as-is. Why would the devs intentionally do that, too?
  7. I DO play Nidus, but... You're LITERALLY making my point FOR me. If it is so simple to get max stats NOW, with the skills working as they already DO, why the everliving hell would DE want to, or indeed NEED to, BUFF it? Make that make sense? It's already OP, so you want it to be even more "hands-off" OP?
  8. I mean, Entrati ARE , are they not? I can imagine it'd make sense for them to be able to Prime stuff, yeah? That's how I imagined Nidus being primed, too, tbh. What with their unique combination of Infested and Orokin aesthetics.
  9. Nidus becomes IMMORTAL with just 15 stacks. With his augment and his 4, he gains stacks like mad... Just passively getting stacks from kills in his affinity range would make him AFK-GOD. He'd literally sit there, healing in his 4, whilst allies get him ALL the stacks... And he just.. *survives* with no effort. No. Just no. If your idea of "QoL" is "Make me OP with no effort and let the game play itself", then you really don't understand game design.
  10. 1. 10 levels of mastery is only 1000 Affinity. ANY weapon will get you 3x that... without 5 forma invested. Any frame will get you 6x that without a forma invested... which leads to... 2. If you've "run out of things to do anyway", then where is the rush, the fire, the NEED to get there in any quick manner? If you're sitting at the top, with everything else done, ALREADY at LMR1.... then you don't NEED that extra affinity, you just WANT it. So, take your time, get to it when you get to it. In any case, at no point in time is the extra 1000 affinity *necessary*.
  11. If I'm juuuust barely managing to get a kill, though... I am rewarded with a SIGNIFICANT BUFF towards the NEXT kill... and then THAT kill gives me still MORE power... and that power boost lasts for the duration of my encounter with any group of enemies. Then, when there are no more enemies around (not enough to maintain buff), the power ebbs... and I need to ramp it up in the next crowdfight. This is intentional, and is a fine, balanced design. No, it's not just a permanent buff. You actually need to work for it a bit... but in a tense moment, it adds a little pressure to the gameplay. That's not a bad thing.
  12. Skill DOES play a part in higher end content, though. Standing still (unless you're Limbo in the Rift) will often get you killed in SP... FAST. "Skill" can also apply to understanding builds and how to make the most of them. Not all builds can just be copied from YT and just "function". Understanding what one has to do, and indeed executing on that understanding, makes a difference. Regardless, if your argument is going to boil down to "Well, new players rush to get to endgame stuff"... then what, indeed, could DE EVER add to Warframe that would stop that mentality? Indeed, your argument would suggest DE just give up on endgame content altogether, since it's just going to "inspire newbies to rush past everything else". Clearly, that's not a reasonable argument, though... So what do you ACTUALLY think ought be done? On the topic of Galvanized Mods, they are indeed QUITE powerful. Many have been having demonstrable success with them as of late, so clearly they can't be as bad as this thread claims :/
  13. Not every mission is a great match for every frame/playstyle. That doesn't mean there's anything "wrong" with the frame in question. A hammer doesn't cease to be a valuable tool just because you're working with screws. It just means you need to choose a better tool for the job. A hammer is good at its own set of tasks.
  14. Sorry, I'm getting back to this late as irl got crazy and it became a forgotten tab saved... Anyways, forgive my confusion but... if we're talking about Galvanized Mods, mods which are ONLY AVAILABLE at "endgame" levels (Arbitration) for which you must first clear ALL Star Chart content... how is this, then, an issue that affects anything BUT "top end levels"? Who has "far worse gear" by the time they're playing Arbitrations and upgrading to Galvanized Mods? Mods, mind you, that have not been required for ANY content thus far, as people were STILL clearing level 1000's before they were introduced. It just seems like this is more of an "on-paper" problem than a practical one.

Also, what the actual hell is with the rudeness in your reply? There is absolutely no need for that, least of all when I was simply pointing out that such a scenario was neither plausible nor likely.
  16. I mean... unless he was actively engaged in battle, why would he need it on at the time that things broke out? And once things DID get crazy, he clearly didn't have time to scramble for one... he was in a rush to get to the objective. Regardless, it's really not a detail worth obsessing over, imo lol
  17. "Bro", it's a MONTH LONG EVENT. What "rush" should the players feel? Even CASUALLY farming the event (which I likely will), the Ghoulsaw should be EASILY achievable by pretty much everyone. Again, this seems more an issue of "Will I be able to buy a bunch of them for grofit later? Or should I just farm 100000x Forma?", which is not really the point DE wants focused on, clearly, and it's really not in their interest to point out how efficiently everyone may or may not bypass their plat purchases through excessive event item farming.
  18. You've literally mentioned shortening it to 6 hours. That's about A QUARTER of the time it currently takes. I'd call cutting 75% of something off a "huge bump". Your speculation about how it would or wouldn't affect their bottom line has no basis in any facts or data. You've presented nothing to back your case, only your opinion... and opinions =/= facts. If something were MORE profitable AND more "fun" (which is extremely subjective), DE would be doing it already... because that's how business works. Again, this is just your opinion. Show the facts/data that backs your argument. Show comparative data showcasing retention rates based on forma usage, build timers, plat purchases, etc. If you can't, then your speculation is moot. You've made the claim, so the burden of proof is on you. It's not defending a terrible game design choice. YOU'RE the ones calling it that. The fact that it's free means they've asked NOTHING FROM YOU, and given you the FULL GAME and ALL DLC, past, present, AND future, for FREE... and they have small inconveniences that you can bypass FOR FREE with time, or for a VERY small plat purchase. (35 plat isn't even $3 USD, and that's assuming you PAY for it and don't just trade.) If you paid $60+ for the game and the game STILL demanded MORE money (like so many do... I'm lookin' at you every-bandai-namco-game), just to play the content you PAID for to the fullest... that WOULD be an objectively different situation. But this ain't that. If I gave you a FREE slice of pizza and it was juuust "okay", 5/10, you'd either eat it or toss it and move on. If you PAID ME for the pizza, and it still sucked, that'd be a different story... because now you're out the money AND you got a shoddy product. I'd also argue Warframe is NOT a "shoddy product", either. It's a F2P game, arguably one of the best on that business model, and it's survived over 8+ years, has put out a TON of content over those years, and continues to grow. Games with "terrible design" don't survive that long, and THRIVE, even. May not be YOUR cup of tea, but clearly it's good enough for plenty of people. You absolutely CAN. I've almost 2300 hours in just in-mission time in the game, and I've sorted through almost every weapon it has to offer. I can tell the "feel" of the weapon right away... the rest is just basic MATHS. But, I do believe SneakyErvin said it best: Thank. You. 1. That's a crappy and dishonest misrepresentation of DE's team, and you KNOW it. They have a parent company, yes... All companies do. That doesn't make them some big evil baddie.. As for whether the game is "fun for all the players"... it's CLEARLY fun enough that it's lasted 8+ years on a completely FREE to play model. YOU may not like it, but that's fine.. not everyone on Earth has to. Just enough to keep the lights on. And they are. Also, that's not at ALL what they other Tenno was arguing. "Building Forma", and monetizing time-gates wouldn't need to be a THING if the game COST MONEY UPFRONT. But since it doesn't, it needs to recoup expenses in other ways... like time-gating to create pressure to make purchases. It's not complicated. And so we cycle back to Page 1, pretty much... This circular arguing is getting us nowhere and, quite honestly, it's exhausting... and annoying. NOBODY SAID you had to max rank all Tenet/Kuva weapons. NO ONE. Not even DE. You can squeeze a measly extra 1000 xp out of 'em if you do. The Tenet/Kuva system isn't for new players, in any case... it's for people who have more resources than they know what to do with to have something to dump 'em in to. Same as the Helminth. I, personally, have only ever fully forma'd Tenet/Kuva weapons I either LIKED, or was bored and wanted to push my mastery a bit. I'm almost MR30... and I still have PLENTY of other stuff to master ahead of Tenet/Kuva weapons that'll get me there. You act like it's impossible to ignore Tenet/Kuva weapons at 5 forma, but it's not. MR30 was possible well before these systems were even fully realized. There's no need to squeeze the MR out of 'em unless you WANT to,, and then it's a YOU thing. And as time goes on, there's even LESS reason to fully Forma these weapons...as MR30 will become EASIER AND EASIER to attain with more weapons/primes released. Also, PS is coming back AND bringing forma... so what's the issue? You're not making any sense.
  19. What? Do you have any idea how much forma one can gain from Plague Star? Easily over 100+. I've friends who've put in the time and gotten over 140. That's almost HALF A YEAR'S worth of built forma ALONG WITH whatever blueprints they already had access to. That's a HEAVY hit to incentive to purchase Forma for some time. Just looking at recent design choices of Tenet/Kuva/Necramechs... you can see that DE's objective is to provide more ways to SINK resources, not pool them. I understand what you "want" to see, but I'm sorry...it's just completely out of touch with the reality of a business model like DE's.
  20. The problem with that is it would open DE up to a WHOLE lot of liability/legal issues. They do not OWN or EMPLOY any of those community-created websites/apps. Therefore, they cannot control what content is featured, what ads are played, etc. IF they ENDORSE those apps/sites, and the content suddenly takes a turn for the worse, DE is then partially on the line for anything bad their players are exposed to through those apps by way of endorsement. Yes, they can argue "Well, we had a disclaimer..." but it creates bad press and expense court appearances that slow things down and hurt their PR. It's really just better to leave it as-is, or for DE to create their own versions of said resources... which I've no doubt they're working on in due time. Can't build Rome in a day.
  21. They likely left the helmet off for the same reason Kahl's mask was off the majority of the scene... To allow the character to more effectively show emotions and connect with the audience to build a bond such that the audience would "feel" the weight of the moment more. It's just better television.
  22. Why would an MR1 even be taking part in Plague Star? They wouldn't have enough of any resource to build half the things needed for a run, let alone be able to stay alive very efficiently or do much damage. I mean, I've carried my fair share of new players, I certainly don't mind doing that, either... but this mode isn't meant for, nor balanced around, them. When others are saying "New" players, they mean sub-MR12-ish, not MR1.
  23. I, too, enjoy the mechs, tbh. Anyways, 1.5-2 hours over the course of almost an entire MONTH still seems like a very fair, if not almost inconsequential, amount of time in the grand scheme of the game. Not something I'd stress over. Also, I'd suggest that this is not an oversight by DE, but rather a feature, that they choose not to let you "see ahead" that far. Again, efficiency for the player is not always healthy for the developer/game.

Indeed, like I've posted elsewhere in these forums...repeatedly... using the whining IN the forums or on Reddit as "evidence" to suggest the overall opinion of the playerbase is like looking to Yelp to tell how successful a business is. If you went by that metric, most businesses would be considered dumpster fires. Angry people tend to go out of their way to rant/speak up than content people do... thus, what we see is more often a vocal minority. Like you said, DE HAS the data, they don't need outside people with 10% of the info telling them how it works. It's like telling a guide with a map that YOU know better how to get out of the woods than they do based solely on a few trees you think look familiar.
  25. But I wouldn't say Cedo was a waste. I got mine SOONER than others, and didn't need to run RNG to farm it. Not that Father Tokens are the toughest things to come by, but they take longer than running OV. So, there was some benefit, for some upfront cost (time), vs benefit of doing it slowly later at the expense of having it now.
