  1. The accumulated damage should decay over time once the duration ends. Feels too punishing to lose all that stacks of damage because of some timer bug or splinter storm that randomly doesnt want to be refreshed by vitrify.
  2. That's kind of harsh but you are 100% with it. I love Protea but she isn't on my warframe rotation to be used. Zephyr, Gauss, Banshee, Kullervo, Chroma, "Gara" now take those spots.
  3. The problem is modding for sprint speed barely does much for mach rush. Even with 200% extra sprint speed from infested mobility, mach rush values are completely trash. What we speedsters want is for the speed multiplier to be increased. And it makes no sense for redline to not have sprint speed when it increases the speed of every other actionable stat. No justice for Gauss.
  4. I love the idea that mach rush should scale the longer the ability is held. That way he can tap for quick bursts of speed but also gain speed if the user wills to. The build I listed is perfect as a weapons platform as well as a speedster build. Definitely have no problem melting any enemy type with the current loadout + energy efficiency. I only ever lose to good Titanias. Can't beat a blink and their OP augment.
  5. Get yourself innodem, amalgam serration, 322 strength, infested mobility, 3 sprint mods, and dispatched overdrive. You can get strength from other sources but that is unnecessary with this current build. Um no
  6. Infested Mobility has the much needed momentum for quick bullet jumps and terrain maneuvers. Molt has that weird effect that slows you down when you jump. I wish mach rush was a speed multiplier. Makes me sad.
  7. I think most Gauss players forget they can cancel mach rush at anytime by tapping the ability again. That's why they complain that gauss runs headfirst into walls and such. I rarely ever have this issue. He could even launch like zephyr if you bulletjump into the mach rush. How many Gauss players do this, none. Just TS spam all day 😂

  9. All DE has to do is revamp mach rush's scalability with sprint mods, strength, or duration. I understand people have a hard time controlling the ability but its really a disservice to gauss how the sprint mods barely do anything for the speed of the sustained sprint. With the current calculations, he would have to triple his sprint speed to get a measly 20m/s increase for mach rush. That's ridiculous.

  11. Chroma buffs Spectral Scream: Change breath attack into a weapon buff that adds "select elemental" damage to all equipped weapons. Elemental Ward: Increase status chance. Allow for recast to refresh buff. Vex Armor: Overhaul of damage formula. Reduce multiplier to be similar to that of Roar or eclipse. Effigy: Tap ability - Ignites chroma's wings to improve Jump height, movement speed, and parkor ability Hold ability - release dragon pelt that turns into companion. Companion can be commanded to be stationary or follow like a sentinel companion. Effigy attacks should cycle through the 4 elements. Maintains the occasional cc from current effigy. I think these changes would make chroma for of a "dragon" archetype.
  12. 🙃 Titania is quite slow without that razorwing augment. But ya running cannot equate to flying. That's why wukong has an edge over most grounded frames. His speed carries and doesn't need to slow down at all during cloud walker.
  13. In practice, Gauss has a higher ability to control his speed when used for combat. He goes from 0-100 in milliseconds, which gives him the edge in indoor tilesets. Volt may have the greater multiplier for speed buffs, especially how momentum carries in the game with parkor buffs. In practice it doesn't work well. Gauss can have both speed and effectiveness in all mission types while on the move, blitzing everything.
  14. Gauss is faster in almost all situations. 322 strength + infested mobility + innodem + sprint speed mods. Hardly anyone will be able to catch you indoors and outdoors. Of course people use titania and archwings so don't expect to beat them, though its possible in some tilesets.

  17. He's right. Mach rush is quite slow. I'm getting around 36m/s with 2.75 modded sprint speed. The initial burst of speed when 1st ability is tapped is fine. However, the sustained speed fades off drastically. No amount of modding helps. The sustained speed does not increase at all. Even with the 4th ability, which is called redline, it does not increase movement speed at all. Only the energy cost of 1st ability is reduced by half. DE needs to actually let mach rush gain speed overtime or allow the 4th ability to boost the speed of mach rush by a noticeable degree. The only time mach rush seems decent if when used with full strength infested mobility or molt. Even then the sustained speed velocity is locked which is very lackluster.
  18. To be serious I rarely use protea. Her gameplay loop is boring to me, though effective. There's no point in trying to disprove you. All this is subjective. That's why I tend to use more speedy frames like gauss and zephyr. They're actually fun and hold my attention without having to spam abilities all day. I have no issue with helminth. Most of my builds have a helminth in them. Trust me, I know the upside and downsides to these abilities. Like tharros strike which requires you to get close, 20m or so with decent range, to armor strip/shield strip. To me, its silly to jump back and forth to strip defenses. As cool as styanax is with his new augment, I couldnt make him my main, he just isn't speedy like I want him to be. See its all subjective.

  20. None of your points make sense. You're just arguing to argue. No I'm not dropping my attitude. You know you can cancel her 4th. You have nothing to complain about. Mod slot is a non-issue. Ability slot is a non-issue. Don't like it, don't use it. Simple.
  21. The topic was that the augment is bad. I disagree. It is as or more effective than any helmith ability can provide. Protea already does everything, and she does it quite efficiently. I can be as hostile as I want to be. Especially when people claim stupid facts. You're free to ignore me if you dont want this discussion.
  22. The grenades strip armor. Is that hard to understand? 2 ticks and armor is fully stripped for any enemy that walks into the zone.
  23. Blaze artillery combined with the grenades have fast TTK. Thats the whole point of the augment. Slap panzer vulpa or epitaph and you got yourself 400k heat procs with 1 or 2 shots from blaze artillery. Its almost like you guys haven't bothered making nice builds.
