  1. You always have to keep in mind that there are people here with 100 hours in the game and will discuss with people who have 10000 hours. So it is understandable that the guy who you are talking to does not really know what he is talking about. Hell, most players have not even touched Steel Path, where the game basically is completely different to the pre-SP era.
  2. I never use him, because I need to forma him a couple of times. Umbral looks better as well,
  3. I honestly don't understand the uproar. DE has a history of making money with overpriced cosmetics only. Prime Accessoires anyone? They are the only thing that you cannot buy with plat basically. And they have been here from the beginning. I remember 100s of threads opened for Excalibur Prime over the 10 years. And people state that they want him so much, they would pay anything, just to have it available one more time. Yeah, this is the next Excalibur Prime. If it feels so bad not to have the skins, if you guys feel the need to pick up the pitchforks, maybe it is worth that much? It is not like you need it to play the game. And if you want the Heirloom skins, you buy them and if you don't want to buy them, you can safely ignore them. There will be no disadvantage for you. You just don't have an item that you wouldn't have anyway if they did not offer this package. If you don't have the money, I am sorry, but this is capitalism. There are 1000s of things I cannot buy. Now you say: FOMO, IT IS FOMO. Yeah, an Enzo Ferrari is FOMO as well. I cannot buy it, it is too expensive. Should I now open a thread and beg Ferrari to make it available or cheap, so I can afford it? Should I grab pitchforks and start wishing doom on Ferrari? Oh wait, we just talk about computer games? What about Star Citizen? There are items which go for above 30.000 bucks real money. The mature way is to either buy it or leave it. I did the same for Diablo. Skins for 27bucks? No thank you. But I did not feel the need to vent and tear the whole game or company down like some guys in this thread want. Some of you post that you are F2P for 10 years now and that you are insanely proud of this achievement. While I don't like this perspective and I see that somehow games like Warframe are only maintained, when there is enough money and someone needs to pay for it somehow, why not leave that to whales who shell out 90 bucks for 2 skins? Why are you so angry? Do you feel betrayed, because they want a lot of real money for cosmetics now? I already told you, Prime Accessoires exist from the beginning and they are exactly that. And honestly, I think that 45 bucks for the 120th Syandana is a bit much. So I don't buy them. I think we are all here, because we love this game a lot. And if we love this game, we want it to go on for another 10 years, right? And the more money a game makes, the more likely it is to stay. So if they find another source of income with Heirloom skins, this is only good for everyone.
  4. I am not Slayer, but 200 str + a lot of range does wonders for him. I thought he can never survive 200+, but Circuit showed me that he really can. I know, I know, Circuit is different, but there are not too many options that boost survivability that much.
  5. Is this really a discussion for General? Or maybe it would fit better into support?
  6. OP is rude and condescending and honestly, tough guys like him are not worth any discussion. You won't change his mind anyway about anything. He is here to be right, not to get it right.
  7. Yeah, I should have excluded PVP as well, because they work completely different than PVE games. Mea culpa.
  8. Please give me the name of a non-singleplayer game with longevity that does not use "grind" in any way or purpose. Making unique story content ist extremely inefficient. You put in hundreds of hours and a player plays through it in 5 hours. Grinding content keeps the player at bay for hundreds of hours while at the same time putting in maybe less hours than story content (no actors, no dialogues, no cutscenes). Thus each and every game with the labe GaaS will use grind in it, there is no other way. The only question is: is the carrot close enough? If I need to grind 30 years to get an item, this is far too long and players will stop playing, but if a player can get all items from new content in 30 minutes, the player will drop due to boredome and nothing to do in the gameworld. Somewhere inbetween lies the answer for good balance. I am playing this game for 10 years now (on and off) and in my humble opinion, most of the time the balance is just right. Yeah, I had bad phases with way too many runs for one item, but I also had some that were so lucky that I was done in a very short time frame. And with grinds like Citrine, there is also bad luck protection. Does the game respect YOUR time? I don't know and this is a question that you can only answer yourself. It does for me though. If you feel that your time is not respected, leave the game. With Warframe going strong for 10 years I'd like to think that the game respects other players time as well, not only mine, because otherwise the game would be a wasteland. But don't get me wrong, the developer is not your friend. They will try and keep you in the treadmill as long as they can. And sometimes they will go to the one side or the other. If it is too long for me to get an item, I just stop playing. And most of the time, in 4-8 weeks there is a patch that makes it a lot faster. Warframe though is one of the fairest games out there. There is no pay to win, you can earn the prime currency, so that there is the possibility that you can truly earn EVERYTHING in the game just by grinding, with the exception of Prime cosmetic stuff. They reserve that for paying customers. Do they want to make it so easy that everyone can and want to do it? No, in the very end, they want money from you, because without money, the game dies. So some things are made so inconvenient that you might want to take a shortcut and just pay your way out of the inconvenience. So be happy when you pay for a game that you love, because it ensures that you can play it for years to come with new content. I do. But don't expect them to make a free game that "respects your time" and gives everything to you in an instant, because that is not realistic. Take a loot on the other side and understand their perspective. It is called empathy, try it ;)
  9. I have read the thread in question now and honestly, I would have shut it down as well. I have read most of the arguments a 1000 times already in the last 10 years. Especially comparing just the "July" instead of the game as a whole is a big red flag that the original poster just wants an uproar. We had player numbers like this nearly every year at one point. This is not unusual at all. On the contrary, tbh, because there are way more platforms offering Warframe than in the years before. There is no dieing. In fact, since Reb and the new team took the game, I think it is more interesting, more balanced and more demanding than ever before. Circuit alone is a way to get to 1k+ fast and if you don't have a good group, you will see that most of the players cannot handle the content this difficult, thus dropping out early.
  10. I don't know, maybe this is a team game and you can learn to stay together? Why are you 200 m away from your squad mates? How will you help them when they are dieing?
  11. Negativity breeds negativity. Try to criticize your wifes cooking every day and see where it leads. Especially threads about "this game is dying" feel very threatening to new players, because why start a new game when it is already dieing? Are we as a player base empathically dead or why does noone understand this? If your company has a slight downspiral (if they have it at all, there are millions of reasons why steam playercount has dropped), you don't want each influencer, youtuber and their moms post about how your company is dead and buried. Deny it or not, this feels gruesome if you are trying to steer the ship back in the right direction. I can only say that all people who I am playing Warframe with for years now have cycles... they play the new content, get the new stuff and drop out for a while. There is next to no FOMO in Warframe and I love the game for it. Try to play Destiny that has seasons with probably meta stuff only available for 3 months. Of course there is a low from time to time between content drops. I came back after I dropped out short after Voruna arrived and I am psyched about all the new content. Duviri feels amazing, I love the roguelite approach, I love the new Incarnon weapons. But I also take healthy breaks from activities to make sure that I don't burn out. And this is the reason why players have problems. They want everything at once (hence all the "omgawd, not time gated content") and play and play and play till they burn out, no self control at all. People in my clan burnt out mostly about Circuit, which is a bit repetitive and the worst of all Duviri. For me personally, it still is fun and I get to reward tier 10 each week. It is not bad content thouth. It plays differently and you have a multitude of other options. For me personally it is very disturbing when I come back after a while and read all the doom and gloom postings, no matter which game. And the vibe is not about being constructive and trying to make the game better, no, it is a complain fest about each and everything. - content iissssslaaaaaaaaaaaaaands: Yeah, guess what, each and every game has them. Only PVP centric games get away with reusing old content again and again. And if I am done with content, I am more than happy to move on - This game is deaaaad: The game is 10 years old and still going very strong. Even at this point where people and influencers claim the game is dead or dieing, it is in the top 20 of Steam. And if you observe closely, most of the top 20 are PVP games, which naturally have more longevity. Warframe is a PVE game and the player numbers are still amazing. On the other hand, new people start every day. I just got a good friend of mine playing the game and he loves every second. - buggggyyyyyyyyyy: Again, this game is 10 years old. Are there some bugs which are nerve wrecking? Yeah, we all now host migration. But game breaking bugs are rare, very rare. Does the newest content feel unfinished? Yes, but playtesting this properly would cost way too much. Warframe is still a bit niche. I could go on forever, but I hope everyone can see that this game is neither dieing, nor is any doom and gloom justified. I can't wait for Tennocon and what news it will bring and I play this game for 10 years off and on. All those other games like Lost Ark, Destiny, who use every trick in the book to keep player retention and pull the money out of your wallet, making it a necessity are so unfair compared to Warframe. I am happy that we still have developers like in this game.
  12. Mate, are you in the wrong forum? I never thought I'd see the day that people are complaining about difficulty in Warframe :D
  13. Hello, I don't know about you guys, but I have one loadout for every warframe. With Kullervo we have 53 warframes and only 52 loadouts. Hopefully we can get some more, please?
