With the new frame testing the waters of such a thing. Personally wondered what if there was a new ghost faction who had no HP/armor but instead just had giant shields and were immune to DoT. Have it made with it's own mystery element/what caused them to exist/lore, and various abilities such as phasing, invisibility, extracting souls, and maybe a highly telegraphed 5 second possession etc. Additionally could have a ghost warframe released at the same time who would have phasing+invisibility, soul manipulation, possession ultimate(Possibly retaining base abilities and draining life from the host which converts to Hp, shield and if max then overshields until the host dies) and passively immune to DoT but has the lowest HP in the game. Immune to DoT? Tennos can't die. They can always come back full life after a briefly static interference. Lowest HP? Used to have...now they are almost Inaros's little brothers. Actually now I don't like this idea as much lol... Wait who could be harvesting tenno souls to be used as ghost. Yea as screwed up as it might be think tenno ghost harvested and controlled could make for a new faction. Have a warframe mimicing that released at the same time. And possibly make it a new character that's behind it all instead of someone in current factions, so it's a new threat all of them have to watch out for. otakuotaku Posted February 12, 2019 Author Share Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) Hmm was thinking on the possession mechanic, instead of just making it just telegraphed but garunteed. What if it still last a short duration 5-20 seconds but as operators players can separate the possession using void blast? That way even if you miss the telegraph and get possessed you can free yourself from it by quickly going operator->void blast. The last sortie with radiation hazard was very ... instructive... A new faction ? I dont know but we have probably new types of ennemies with the return of the war with sentients. They spend much time far away and can become virtually anything with their adaptative skills. The ones we fought are just what left in solar system not the core of sentients. The fact that the devs give us some toys specifically anti-sentient is a hint (a big Chekhov's gun ) that they probably prepared some surprises.
