Negative Critical Damage

my fully upgraded riven gives my weapon minus C.D (-4)

I know i can re roll it, but i like the other stats since it has over 200% dmg and so on

My question, what will happen when u fight an enemy with a negative CD. how will the weapon perfom,

anyone tried this?

Once you deal a critical hit you will score less damage than usual.
Simple like that.

If you had a 0.8x multiplier, a critical would cause a 100-damage attack to instead deal 80 damage.

I had a Harpak Riven with +120% Crit chance and -99,8% Crit damage, which led to crits having a 0.04x damage multiplier I think. Tried for the lulz, and Crits were indeed dealing 25 times less damage than regular hits (and orange crits 50 times).

To sum it up, looks like it's an okay riven to use on a weapon with low crit chance, just never ever equip it with a smeeta kavat 🙂

Well if it's not a crit weapon . It's ok. But when it's crit , there will be a problem but not really a big problem . Just less damage for sure n maybe u put crit mods to help.

Totally. I hate this (CD 0.something) thing. I have Kohm riven that has -92% CD. Ctritical multiplier 0.2x when my smeeta proc. CC buff i do 0 gray dmg until buff ends.😤

It just deals less damage. If you have 0.6x multiplier, your crits will multiply damage by 0.6. if you have negative crit damage, you will heal the enemy with your crits.

Pretty sure they removed the healing part. It floors at zero damage, so it will just do nothing.

They also fixed clients getting integer underflow causing negative crit damage to wrap around into absurdly high crit damage.
