Hostile Merger: Endurance - Any suggestions on strats to get higher scores?

Question

We are trying to get everyone on our clan to reach ~6000 score to get the top clan reward. One of our runs, we were able to get to 5700 but then the Demolysts started getting really tanky (it was about wave 11 or 12?) and we had to extract. Any suggestions on how to improve? Should we take a Chroma? What would be the best weapon damage types? Any help is welcome 🙂

Try hitting them with operator attacks (to reset the damage resistance?). I remember I hit one of those demolysts with my Amp and the HP went from sluggishly decreasing (from team mates banging on it!) to almost instantaneous decreasing... I'm not sure if this actually works though. Just something I observed when I popped Operator for a last minute thing to try before losing a conduit!

We used Khroa's Ensnare ability to slow the Demolysts down as that works on them when we did our 4K run on last Thursday.

Also can use strangledome to keep normal enemies CC'd as well but doesn't work on the Demolyst.

Viral is a good damage type for it as it reduces health permanently when it proc's and most if not all of the enemies in disruption (one or two of the Amalgam's might have armor not sure) don't have armor.

They are weak to radiation or viral generally, depending on which Amalgam it is.

I’ve seen good success from peaceful provocation Equinox builds so long as you stay out of range of the nullifier pulse.

Although the best option is to hunt the Demolyst down as quickly as you can to get more time.

I solo 10k points used Hildryn and Rad Catchmoon.. would have gone longer but it just takes soooo long to get even to 10k solo... best bet is to squad of 3 hunter killers to hunt demolysts and a defender to ensure it doesnt sneak through if someone dies.. cover all entrances and kill demolyst asap.  Rad and viral seems to work well..

I went 9500 solo last night with just Inaros and a Plague Kripath zaw. It just takes so long to get a lot of points (took me around 1h 20m) since groups can have multiple towers active to get more points. I probably could have went longer but I forgot to switch elements and I had magnetic so my damage fell off hard around level 160 demolysts

nope, unless its special for the Amalgams, its only 6 seconds, the only permanent proc is Corrosive

No frame is particularly necessary, but there are definitely some that handle demolysts quite well. I think the most important thing that I myself learned very late on: The consoles don't have health. Once you put the key in, go seek and destroy the demolyst because you don't need to wait around to protect it. They make a beeping noise, so you can sort of 'echolocate' them by running around, finding the direction where the sound is loudest, and going over to murder it. Husband and I got to 10k for the clan trophy as Saryn/Garuda.

If one of your group plays Garuda, her passive (100% damage increase at 2hp) is extremely good for taking them down. Downside is she requires a specialised build for survivability because you'll be wanting to play at 2hp (using 3rd ability) as much as possible (3 umbral, primed flow, quick thinking, hunter adrenaline). Hard hitting weapons like the catchmoon or some melees work really well with that passive. In the same vein, Chroma can be very helpful too for the vex armour buff, I haven't personally ran with a Chroma who could reliably supply it, so I can't really say. Saryn or any other nuke frame is also good for keeping the rest of the adds under control. Again I'm assuming you're in a group, so Trin is generally a good support, esp with Chroma, and tankier frames help to reduce the chance you'll need to be ressing people later on.
