Rifle Riven Mod, Destroy 3 Dargyns with a bow

Hi there,

so.. i got a rifle riven mod, which requires me to destroy 3 Dargyns using a bow in one day. Now, i wouldnt say this is a hard task, i went to the Koro Node on the Kuva Fortress, packed in my ballistica prime and destroyed those Dargyns that spawned at the start.

Apparantly the ballistica prime doesnt count as a bow (its a Crossbow)?

The Wiki says: "Crossbows (such as Zhuge and Attica) can also be used count towards the challenge."

So.. does the bow need to be primary? If so, how should i then put the riven mod on a rifle if i have the bow in there??

Only Primary bows count.

I personally use Ivara's Artemis Bow. With the arrows spread, I found that the easiest way to do it. I can then put the Riven on any weapon I want.

Yes, it needs to be a primary, not a secondary.  The riven will go on the bow as primary bows accept rifle mods.

Only Primary bows count. The Kuva Dargyns might not count for the challenge, I've always done those in the Plains. Keep us posted if it works in the Fortress. 🙂

I can confirm they do count so long as it's just the challenge to kill the Dargyns (not the one where you have to kill the pilots).

Because Bow's are rifles.

Yeah i actually feel so dumb rn.. idk why but my pea brain thought i couldnt put a rifle mod on a bow xD so yeah.. kuva dargyns work and i have the riven unlocked, thanks for your help guys ^^

On my side, I'm always picking Jet Stream Zephyr + max Strength for this challenge. Hitscan bows ftw

Yeah, that works too. I just don't really like building my Zephyr for strength.

btw had a simular challenge(destroy 3 dargyns, withouth affected by a status effect), used the lenz and it didn't count not a single time
I was with Itzal and shoot them while they were on the ground.Do they have to fly for the challenge to cound, it doesn't say anywhere on the card.

Yup, they have to be flying to count. Shooting the ones on the ground won't do it.

I de-cloak momentarily to spook the pilots, then shoot them as they fly up.

@HYPxDeath one easy way to do this is take Loki with a bit of range and use his Switch Teleport (3) to switch with Dargyn in Air. Then just jump of and destroy with bow. Also Rifle Riven can be put on Bow (Paris, Cernos, Lenz, ...)
