Warframe Idea Name: Scold Codex: Sent down by the gods and gifted by the angels. The fury filled memories of this frame has balanced his pain by being a supportive and an effective frame.

1st ability: Portal

Creates a shield portal that reflects back incoming attacks such as projectiles and energy based weapons.

2nd ability: Hand Of God

Shoots down a big mortar shaped like a hand. If killed, it has 100% chance of dropping an additional loot.

3rd ability: Guardian

Summons 2 to 5 sentients that acts as shield around Scold also reflects magnetic and heat damage if hit by energy or lazer based weapons, reflects corrosive and radiation if hit by Infected and reflects heat and blast if hit by normal bullet and blast by enemies.

4th ability: Faith

Summons an angel statue that increases health regen for the allies and causes enemies to have less attack accuracy. Passive Ability: Gives 50 health and 25 Energy everytime an ability is used by the frame. Able to heal the operator if this frame is in the 5m radius.

I was going to read thru to see if this had been suggested before.....and then I saw the page count. Yeah, no.

So my idea is similar to others, but with a twist. We’ve got loads of agile ‘frames, we have some ‘frames that are well -suited to certain mission-types and less-so to others. So how about a tank-esque frame whose Ult is to physically transform into a turret, which then can rotate but not move until his/her energy is exhausted. Lesser skills would involve an arm becoming a slow-firing heavy-damage gun, with 3 versions (his/her 1,2, and 3 abilities) of increasing damage and energy requirements.

Had this crazy concept for long, but if it is actually a warframe, then maybe its not crazy, because... warframe - why not:

The researchers on Jupiter traced an anomaly, which at first could be described only as "intelligently looking smoke". The nanomodified material of a warframe being the only readily available vessel, strong enough to contain a life-form with body of high pressure (Jupiter pressure) gas.

The creature adopted the humanoid vessel as an acceptable EVA suit, giving it the means to survive the "vacuum" of the Jupiter upper atmosphere.

On the other hand, the tenno powers were also the only energy source able to provide sufficient energy into the vessel for the creature, its life and intellect being a tangled web of high energy / high pressure torrents. The creature had to learn to coexist with a dreamer, giving the origin of this controversial warframe - with thick armor and hollow body, the heavy frame barely containing a life of screaming velocity.

The researchers perished long before they could reach an answer of the creature's origin:

Is it an original Jovian life form, which would make it the second intelligent race in the Origin system? ( Blasphemy! :D )

Or is it a "hitchhiker" born on another gas giant, from another / Tau system? (Not sure if Tau will have gas giants) That could mean that the creature is an agent of the sentient, but which fraction?

Happy 7th anniversary!

Six months ago I had the idea of a possessed Warframe, that summons a humanoid entity to use it's current close combat weapon to rush forth and attack rapidly with the weapon, although the damage is lowered to justify the distance (not sure how much a meter is in Warframe, but for example 10 meters).

I liked the idea of the Warframe suddenly losing most of it's strength while the ghostly being (still mainly controlled by the player) attacks the Warframe's foes. The Warframe's walkspeed is lowered, while it is able to shoot it's guns. Once the attack (or attack-spamming with the keyboard key) has stopped, the Player regains his original Walkspeed unhindered.

The ghost could be either modded like the mechanic pets or the same way you mod Excalibur's sword.

The ghostly/humanoid entity could be from the Duviri Paradox trailer, that has been released quite recently.

To some this probably sounds like a stand from JoJo, considering how the ghost would function.

Only Idea I've been working on for a few months is a Cephalon inspired Warframe that's about support and tech armor kind of like the sentinel in Mass Effect, combined with Jehuty from Zone of the Enders.

The concept would be built around scanning targets for the party to buff damage, tech/holo armor that could drain shield (which might work with the new shield system you're implementing) and a sort of energy drain mechanic to keep your holo armor going.

The whole idea was a Buck Rogers/Tesla coil inspired design, to kind of play off of the old scifi shows and stuff. Using like jodhpurs to give the silhouette some interesting shapes and have the helmets be styled after different cephalon styles.

A "caster" warfame with an exalted "magic" staff.  Based around controlling the elements, maybe with stances? and nuking enemies using targeted aoes and applying shields/buffs to allies from ranged.

Born from the center of a collapsing star, ice melts, earth crumbles, storms rage, the world burns... then silence...  Out of death, came life, knowing only pure energy. To control life itself, it mastered the elements used to born its creation.  Now it can unleash them in equal fury, to silence its enemies, or protect its allies.

Why not make more weapon themed frames?

What about a sword & shield focused one and I know you said no abilities but they could have a captain america shield throw thing.

Or what about one totally focused on rifles or shotguns or something.

Edit: a good name for a sword & shield frame could be Myrmidon! Like the army of Achilles!

This is cool bu think it should just be a massive shield,  also i can't find the blade master theme again, but what if it let you equip multiple melee weapons and wwitch between them, anultimat could be dua wielding almost anything

War-Machine-Frame. Do something dumb for once DE. All abilities are a exalted weapon type (Pistol, shotgun, assault, launcher...) that can be combined and replaced as the player chooses for dual handling, each of them having their own energy consuptions and moddable stats. Or instead, he can carry his primary on his left hand and his secondary on his right (or vice-versa). GUNZERKER FOR LIFE!

Parasitic Warframe:

Introduction:
The basic premise of this warframe would be bending enemies to its will in a unique new way, unlike other mind-controlling frames, it would directly 'latch onto' an enemy, using them as a host (it can only have one host at a time).

General Functionality
Without a host the warframe is on the weaker side, possessing weakened abilities and having rather low health and armor (it would have no shields without a host). Once a player finds an enemy they want as a host, they can merge with it, gaining complete (and direct) control of that enemy, being able to use their abilities (if they have any) and their weapons. (You essentially become the enemy, having access to both your abilities and theirs, and of course the physical appearance of the enemy is somewhat modified to depict them being controlled by your friendly parasite.)

At this point the warframe gains a large amount of survivability that scales off the 'level of power' of an enemy (and slightly affected by enemy level, but not much), for example an ancient would be much more survivable than a lancer. Enemies with a higher 'level of power' would also increase the effectiveness of the warframe's abilities slightly more.

However, controlling more powerful enemies doesn't come without a cost. All enemies 'decay' while acting as a host for the warframe, becoming an unfit host when they decay fully (and then die shortly after). Enemies with a higher 'level of power' decay a lot faster than weaker enemies do (decay time probably not affected by enemy level).

The more an enemy has decayed, the more powerful the warframe's abilities get, at the cost of the enemy being slightly less resilient to damage (their physical appearance also changes during the decay process, to signify how much they have decayed). If an enemy decays fully the warframe is forced out in its vulnerable base form after a short buffer period where the enemy cannot be mind-controlled, however one can switch hosts before this happens. If the warframe does switch hosts before an enemy enters the buffer period, that enemy stays alive for a short time (before decaying fully and dying without being a host), going berserk and attacking anything around it (including the warframe and their allies), and being capable of using latent versions of the warframe's abilities (these do not affect the warframe or their allies however) on its former comrades.

Quirks/Possible Lore & Backstory:
(Contains spoilers for warframe lore in general.)

Spoiler

The creation of this warframe was a surprisingly smooth process, very few problems were encountered and it seemed very compatible with its operator during initial transferrence tests. However, during its first deployment it suddenly broke the transferrence link for a short period, after the link was restored, it was found to have killed all of the Dax it had been assigned to assist. The orokin ordered the mission to be completed regardless, which it was, with ease. The warframe then seemingly disappeared from the history books, perhaps deemed too dangerous to further exist and then destroyed, or perhaps its future actions were hidden to the extreme and wiped from all records. Either way, through being reconstructed or never having been destroyed at all, it had resurfaced in modern times.

As such, the warframe can on rare occasions break the player's operator's transferrence link, forcing transferrence-out and attacking the operator and their allies, this wouldn't happen enough times to be annoying, but just to add some flavour.

Possible Name Suggestion:
Lateralis, based on Ophiocordyceps unilateralisa real life fungus that alters the behavioral patterns of ants to do their bidding.

If its just themes, i'v got one. a geometric themed frame, something angular and based on edged shapes like cubes or octagons or something. Perhaps something like Adam from NieR automata or something like that.

A Rage themed warframe

A mutation occured during the "creation" of the warframe, the host rejected its transformation and creators simply with its blind rage.

Its body refuses the void energy meant to power the frame (so no energy) and the energy instead clouds around the frame getting denser (and the frame angrier) until the frame rejects the void completely in an explosive rage.

The thought would be similar to "warriors" in other games that generates rage from attacks and spends them on skills.

My main three Warframe theme ideas:

- Time (previously posted, I think it's a good idea)

- Gravity

- Shadow

And lastly, a bow-themed Warframe would be nice, as we already have a sword-based (Excalibur) and a gun-based (Mesa)

Um. Ivara is bow-themed... her kit is 3/4 bow and 1/4 a headshot mult. which compliments her bow theme. Shadow? Arguably, that’s Mirage as she’s the only one with abilities affected by shadow. Time is an interesting one. I thought of one that used sonic manipulation to slip in-between the flow of time. Tempo/Tempus was his name. Monkish/Magisterial red and white with silver accents. CC frame (control) with strong offensive capabilities.

I think one of the best warframes in this game is completely original as it uses the games lore (Nidus). What about a cephelon warframe. The design of the frame could be an orb where the cephelon resides inserted into the frames head or chest. The frame itself could be that orb makes a hologram of the frame around it. One of its abilities could be some form of mobility where the frame can dematerialize into a computer or console and rematerialize at another discovered computer or console. Could also be used as a stealth ability so enemies give up the search. Would have a time where the system won't detect you. After that time, your chances of getting caught in the system increase and if found will be forced out with a percentage of your max health.

A Berserker themed Warframe (maybe called Magnus) with an exalted heavy blade that you can not really equip by using an ability but all his skills do include that heavy blade + its stats. Also instead of using Energy, he uses Rage which goes up by killing foes.
