Ok, so this is likely a bug, but not exactly of the negative sort. I was doing Narmer bounties to get the last two osprey scans, but during the Defend and Capture Containers stage a Kyta Raknoid and more importantly a Jackal Eximus suddenly spawned. I could barely believe what I was seeing, but I managed to scan the bastard.

Haha, thanks for the tip, i just scanned two (not with the double scan widget from simaris)

Its way easier if you can get a "locate solaris camp" stage in narmer bounty, wait for a narmer corpus to place a beacon and wait for maximum alert level, you'll get Jackal eximus units spawn like crazy, also you can find more tidious narmer units you can scan.

So with the duviri uptade there is some "fragment" we can find in duviri. I already found some. Each "family" ave 9 fragments to complete it. There is 10 in tota,l so 90 fragment to find. Good luck (i'm gonna post others if i find new locations)

Just now I also had a Jackal Eximus spawn, but it was during a regular tier 5 bounty.  The alert level had gone up to two, and I had destroyed the beacon about 30s earlier, so when I saw it appear it was at about the same alert level as in your screenshot.

I'm guessing that's the Hollow Thrax Centurion from Duviri.  If we can't use our Codex Scanner or Synthesis Scanner from our Gear, then it would have to be via Ore Gaze, Heliocor, or Synoid Heliocor.

Heliocor and Synoid Heliocor don't work because Codex Scanners aren't equipped on the player. Ore Gaze might work though.

Atlas augment works! it scans them!

Yeah, I had the same finding, but don't want to post until I extract and confirm it actually saves.

EDIT: It seems none of the enemies in the Undercroft or Duviri have entries anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

One does and that is the hollow Thrax in in the unaffiliated tab there are 2 of them one for the Undercroft and one for Duviri so find chests to make one spawn

Yeah, I just noticed that. I must have scanned the other Hollow Thrax by accident. The Corrupted Power Carriers, Dax/Thrax, etc. are not in the Codex though.

You can (briefly) with the Transference intrinsic. 

 

This is also one of those annoying cases were we have an enemy using the same name and model that's easy to scan, but doesn't count. Hollow Thrax Centurions spawn in the low level Convergence Survival mission on Lua, but scans of those don't count for this entry.

Its cause you got to scan the one that comes from hidden chests on duviri not the ones in the undercroft

So now, using ore gaze on the centurion from the undercroft count ?
