Ai play. They too lenient to attack and probably ending up in toxin cloud. Or stuck untill they spawn closer to you.

Well you also could be using frame which does not provide too much health shields or armor via link mods.

Like i use grendel and vizier predasite. Have him given hunter recovery and hirudo , which means each dmg i do heal him. With gloom same thing, you keep them full hp healing constantly.

Also random 1 shots arent anything new in game, either script error which needs to get fixed or some overlooked thing.

Revenant with Mesmer. 2000hp etc.

Make sure you use the link health mod - that should give the kavats more health,

I have link armor, calc redirection, hastened deflection and enhanced vitality. Also tek assault (ignore lethal damage) and mischief (invisibility).

Either by going for melee attacks or other precepts, Beast Companions tend to draw more aggro than Sentinels and Moa Companions.

What am I missing with these?

Not really much, considering how Deimos Infested hit like a truck. Modding for survivability is one thing, but drawing all the aggro away from your Companions is the other to keep them alive.

I'll try it.

Well that's why melee kinda makes no sense with the mod to heal companions because I want to kill at long range as soon as possible to clear Infested from attacking.

Is there a mod that is similar but from weapon fire? I am wondering if I'm missing some companion mods.

Even with a spectre armed with a kuva Carr they killed my kavat once. Seems they buffed Deimos iso vaults recently. Half the infested are eximus now. Been running the vaults every day like 4-6 times so I see a definite difference. Also about a week ago I got a couple surveys "how would you rate enemy difficulty today?" So they have definitely been messing with the enemy difficulty.

You can use thrown melee or gunblade.

Depends a little. I'd say understanding a few different ideas, even if they won't necessarily all apply to you personally or specifically can help.

Like for 1. Link mods. Depending on which Warframe you are using, the value can differ significantly. Link Health and Link Armour mod on Nidus or Lavos for example, will give way more value than if on Ivara or Mag. That being said, with Ivara and Mag specifically, well their survival can be influenced by your abilities, as in going invisible as well routinely with Ivara, and having shields restored, plus enemies being CCed with Mag. So in general, think about the strengths and weaknesses of the Warframe you are using in respect to the Kavat/Kubrow. Revenant, I am not an expert on, but I believe he... Like I know there is a issue many have where they wished his Mesmer skin augment applied to Companions right? Since AFAIK it doesn't? Which sucks, since it should. Least I think it should, because Revenants survival comes from Mesmer skin, but this also means his health and armour values don't necessarily reflect his tankiness that way that Nidus or Lavos stats might. So unless you are CCing a lot of the enemy with enthral, Link Mods will be useful, but not necessarily as useful as with some others. Make sense?

2. Healing. Likewise some Warframe abilities can heal them, but a decently useful mod is Primed Pack Leader. More so if you are willing to use your melee a little or a lot. Since it heals your Pet via melee. Since I tend to use my melee a decent bit, in combination with Link Mods, my Pets/Kavat is constantly being topped up on health.

There are a few other factors that are more specific, certain set ups with other types of specialised mods and builds. Can all depend on your preferences and playstyle though. Like I have developed my own ways for specific Warframes I play regularly, even if they can be quite different (compare Citrine to Nyx or Nidus to Ivara, Lavos to Mag etc). Oh, also, like... My Smeeta was the first thing I owned to get like 6 or 7 forma in it, like high investment, but eh, it doesn't die very often so I considered it a good investment.

sounds like either on a frame that has low health and armor so link mods dont do much for them.  ot you have some withd glitch going on.  I can go afk on sp with khora and have just Venari and the vaska kavat and come back find just a small cirgle of bodies and trail of ammo and loot in area around me as the 2 kitties just started stalking and eating the enmies that approaching where i went afk gradually getting farther and farther from me

So I did a comparison between my kavat with 4 formas and reactor to my hound with no potato or formas.

I ran sister of parvos missions on Jupiter.

My hound died once each in two missions. My kavat was nearly insta dying the entire mission over and over. Aside from the first 30s I don't think the kavat lived longer than 10 seconds between revives.

What's the point of a companion that sucks so bad in it's design that by the time you farm it you've likely already earned enough mastery, strength and technique to essentially not need it's buffs since you're not running low level missions anymore where it would have a chance to survive and even provide those buffs.

DE, please rethink kavats. Lower their Crit buffs but enhance their survival so they aren't a chore an d useless in higher level content. My kavat can't even survive L1 of ESO. It's pathetic. Mature for battle? These things are never ready for battle.

What a waste of formas on my adarza and smeeta. 7 formas gondo. I mean, smeeta charm is useless too. I already have basically everything except prime parts and forma. Smeeta doesn't help with that.

I put link health in #1, calculated redirection in 2 and the mod for faster shield Regen in 3 on my adarza kavat and ran a SP infested crossfire and it didn't die at all.

I'll keep messing with this thanks

Good to know I get to go through and optimize mods for 200+ Warframes weapons and companions now ... 🤔

So for weapons you want elementals first?

The priority is mostly for companions with "precepts" ,

Passive mods (health , Armor etc.) are not going to matter much outside of elemental combos.

Many players simply remove attack precepts to reduce aggro on their companions.
