DEATH MARK OF THE STALKER

Because, as theorists have been suggesting for years,

> 'Hayden' Tenno was/is/might be the stalker

> 'Hayden' Tenno was/is/might've been the first actual warframe

> 'Hayden' Not-Christianson Tenno was/is/might have become corrupted or manipulated, which is why he looks the way he does.

And the entire 1999 nonsense is about Arthur, which is the canonized name for a character meant to redeem the original timeline and restore the faith of what it was to become.

So if there's any stalker lore, it's potentially related to those theories. After all, DE repeated said "No, Dark Sector is not #*!%ing canon" before this happened, so it's really not a surprise if they introduced Arthur as the stalker lore. Because, they also said "No, Hayden Tenno is not #*!%ing canon, either." as well as "No, sir, how can Stalker be Hayden Tenno? He's not canon."

So, DE is selling out and simply rolling with it.

DE already said years ago that Dark Sector is not a prequel and I don't understand why players still try to shoehorn that game into everything. When they first showed Duviri Paradox people also screamed Hayden Tenno, and look how it turned out. 1999 is clearly inspired by Dark Sector, but that's it. The equivalent of Hayden is Arthur. Let Dark Sector rest in peace.

I think it's more uninformed than stupid, if more people did even the smallest bit of research we wouldn't have, for example, Warmarketman posts

Which is what I mean by "stupid", doing research is internet 101

That would imply that we are actually going back in time, which there is little indications of if you pay close attention to the tennocon reveals. We are by the looks of it heading into either a mindscape or a voidscape similar to Duviri. Potentially a mix of the two, where Arthur is a conceptualized body of the vessel and we control it/him through transference. Or it is simply a mindscape and the vessel might just be a larger version of a surrogate, since we dont really now exactly how Margulis made the rehabilitation work. Maybe the surrogates allowed the tenno to enter a fantasy world where they could learn to control their powers safely since they'd just "dream" about using them.

A rational person who doesn't swoon at every face with hope. Good.

No!

You do know DE doesn't even own the rights to darkSector, yeah? And we know this because they didn't do the PC port, they gave the rights over to the publisher who farmed it out to a different studio entirely

So even if DE liked darkSector (they don't, they hate it) they don't have the legal right to introduce it as a canonical prequel anyway.

darkSector isn't just dead, it's legally dead
