Can We Please Please Remove Ragdolling From Mag's Pull?

Many months ago, ragdolling was added to Pull, ruining what was probably the most well-designed ability the game has ever had. I make no exaggeration as no other ability could be employed in as many situations as Pull simply because this ability could be utilized for offense, defense or support at one's discretion.

Defensively, you had the choice of using Pull's knockdown effect to crowd control the enemy or using the Pull effect to reposition enemies so as to remove some heat off teammates.

Offense-wise, the repositioning capability of Pull allowed you to group up enemies and would enable a great number of weapon+Pull combos. You could cleave through crowds of enemies in half with a Galatine, pulverize them into mush with a Kogake, fill them with holes with any gun equipped with a Punch-Through mod or simply just spam Pull until your enemies have died.

And this functionality wasn't just limited to helping just yourself. Pull had fantastic synergy with many other warframes, a rarity amongst all of the game's abilities. You could pull enemies into stacks of Fire Blasts to help out an Ember, gather enemies to one spot for an even more devastating Molecular Prime chain explosion, Pull enemies into Vauban's Vortex or pretty much assist any warframe that's lacking in power range. The list could go on and on and it would continue to grow as new and more unique warframes are released.

The ability wasn't even that overpowered to begin with. (Aside from when it did armour-ignoring damage but that was rightfully nerfed before the ragdolling) This ability was highly dependent on its combinations with other weapons and powers so if there was a strategy that was too powerful, it would be more likely for the other ability to be the source of the problem instead of Pull. Not even the knockdown could be abused to lock-down enemies as there was a cooldown on when an enemy could be knocked down again. This created an interesting risk-vs-reward scenario where if the enemies were not finished off before they get back up, you would sustain critical damage due to their close proximity.

Pull was what made Mag unique, not Shield Polarize. As powerful as it is, Shield Polarize is a shallow ability that requires you to press the number 2 key and nothing else. I'm hoping the devs will one day have a change of heart and revert Pull to what it used to be so that Mag may once again, be viable against all factions as opposed to just Corpus and Corrupted.

Nah, dude.

Jk, I did like pull a lot more before. It was a legitimately useful ability. Now it's just an opportunity to jettison enemies out of the atmosphere. Besides, Mag is master of magnetism, not gravity. Current Pull acts like a gravity power (I fully realize magnetism and gravity are similar and work on the same principles the difference being that magnetism would use Mag as a polarity whereas gravity would use the planet as a polarity)

still wish you could Pull a downed teammate to get them out of a mob of enemies so you could revive them without getting getting downed or dying yourelf

Yeah, same here, i really miss this Pull mechanic. It was very useful. However, i remember how Pulled old Toxic instead of mate. That was funny, hah.

pull now is just a nuke. It's stupid :/

Mag went from one of my top frames to barely played.

I could cope with ragdolling if pull became a toggled skill that constantly pulled enemies toward mag. Like a directionally focused booben vortex.

But I like going into the rafters on an infested defense and spamming Pull.  .__.   It's like someone keeps shaking up a snowglobe full of infested.

I do admit, flinging enemies across the room is entertaining. Maybe there could be a compromise like the enemies getting flung around only if they're killed by the Pull itself.

Done.

On a more serious note YES!!!!!!! I completely agree with the OP.

I cried so much when they removed Pull... I know, I know, Fling is okay... but it just isn't the same :L

I've been hoping DE would revert back to Pull v.2 for months now. It was a great utility mechanic, and had great synergy with her other skills and with weapons. Also, Pull doesn't need big damage, Crush needs big damage.

I sincerely hope they consider fixing this. Although she's currently not terrible, Mag was my main until Pull v.3.

Ragdolls are quite hilarious in the beginning, combined with basically sending some enemies flying into space with pull..

but yeah, it gets old pretty fast (still fun with my Jat Kittag and Kogake tho)

I think the old Pull was much more fitting too.

They should revert it to that, maybe reduce the damage slightly and give Crush it's knockdown back.

That's all i want for my Maggie
