Corpus Tech Supras: Doesn't need a 180 round mag when it kills w/5 bullets!

I did a quick check to see if anyone's pointed out the insane damage that the Supras in Corpus Tech hands is capable of, and it looks like no one's done so yet. This surprised me because I see complaints in the comments on the Wikia's Supra page from back in March, so I figured I'd try to bring attention to their Supra here in the feedback section.

Here are a few things A Lone Tenno had to say:

"100 lvl corpus techs will one shot you with this gun"

"Corpus techs' SUPRA has 8 maxed serration installed lol. Feeling like LANKA turned into a machine gun." - "you are right. At sortie 3 my atlas got two shotted by lvl 100 tech" - "You are lucky, you should be oneshotted. Seriously, their damage is insane for automatic weapon, Heavy gunner's Gorgon isn't even close to this."

I'd found these comments somewhat funny, but then I realized during some high level corpus missions they're sadly true. Where a heavy gunner has to sustain heavy fire for a few seconds to have any sort of impact on your health, the Corpus Techs don't need to spool up as they can easily kill you in 1-10 shots after you get past level 40 with them.

This seems like an oversight when setting up the gun's late game scaling to me. If the corpus tech IS able to spool up in late game, each bullet packs the one-hit KO punch of a Lanka except they're firing at 12.5 rounds per second.

Edit:

The incredible power of the Corpus Tech Supra can be seen in the Simulacrum if anyone wants to try it out themselves. I just did a comparison between a standard Heavy Gunner and a Corpus Tech both at level 85 (current max level for me). The Heavy Gunner had to spool up and afterwards probably took somewhere between 15-20 bullets to kill me. The Corpus Tech didn't need to spool up, he took me down with 3 bullets.

Do the math:

A ok modded player Supra shoots >15 bullets a second with >700 damage per bullet.

Why do you expect the Corpus ones to be peashooters?

On a sidenote: Tarmoas spout, Healers vomit and some other attaks have instakill capabilities too.

That's called broken enemy scaling. Because of how stupidly designed it is, any enemy that may present a threat in terms of damage output at a reasonably high level range becomes outright ridiculously overpowered once enemy scaling goes "vertical".

This is why we can't have nice things (or balance) in Warframe.

I like how the goddess of warframe is out tanking a tank, as a healer. Good times.

Ye but still the trinity has 99.75% damage reduction and still gets quite some good damage and inaros with quick thinking, primed flow, vitality, vigor, steel fiber, armored agility (all max) and the charged ult for 100% more armor gets shredded in seconds

Yeah, Trinity's ability to be a tank while giving immediate almost complete healing that also gives temporary damage resist and with another ability being able to restore energy (and shields with augment) as well as killing most foes is why other healer warframes like Oberon are considered so weak in comparison. Trinity is the specialist of healing and support and very fragile naturally, but with the warframe's skill set the only disadvantage remaining is that Trinity can't area effect kill or crowd control outside of weapon options. Its why DE Scott has that rep for nerfing Trinity every Wednesday even though Trinity has always been among the strongest warframes; Trinity is one of the few warframes who completely scales or at least doesn't care as much as other warframes about enemy scaling. Loki and Nova are in similar boats though Nova eventually does get out-scaled at very high enemy levels. A few other warframes that are used for single moves for these situations are Mirage, Mag, and prior to several nerfs do to Viver farming, Excalibur with his Radial Blind.

Seriously, why is the enemy scaling so exponential? It just forces people to use those stupid and boring meta builds (Tonkor, Sonicor, Primed Reach Orthos) instead of builds that are both powerful and fun to use cus the @(*()$ enemies have a ton of health, armor that absorbs almost 100% damage, and can kill you just by looking at you funny.

Its a problem of infinite enemy scaling in and of itself. It is a relatively easy way to always have a threat for players but is inherently unbalanced.

They got buffed with the Supra buff but people havent seem to have caught on because Ospreys get all the attention.

About as inconsistent with Corpus as Bursas are damage wise.

Nah, they decimated you already before the buff when you tried to faceblock them on shotgun distance.

i agree with this statement.

concerning the supra, i remember using that in 2014. good times. but it was not as potent as when used by corpus tech back then. so i didnt bother with the supra. i see nothing has changed. its a peashooter in our hands but an insta-kill messenger in the mobs' hands.

thanks.

The complaints about these guys is usually more on Youtube and in game than on the forums. It's just that most everyone realizes it's a symptom of the infinite scaling, rather than Techs being unbalanced, themselves.
