Meanwhile there's still a bug only affecting very few people, that makes all operator suits appear as the default one, only recoloured. For example if no hood is equipped then none will be shown either, but any suit parts that are equipped are shown as the zariman suit instead.

I believe it would have been appropriate to run a script to reimburse kuva for mods cycled before this patch (with the cost decrease), or even uncycle all then-current mods and reimburse all kuva. People who invested before this hotfix got much less for their time.

From the before/after comparisons I've seen here and elsewhere, the stats of Riven mods for trash-tier weapons like the Paracyst, Panthera, and Harpak were buffed by maybe 5%, while the stats of Riven mods for top-tier weapons like the Soma, Dread, and Tonkor were nerfed by around 20% on some stats, and up to 40% in some cases.

Essentially, the whales of Warframe have been bait-and-switched, while the trash-tier weapons no one uses remain trash-tier (although to be fair, some of them are so bad that not even a strong Riven mod could save them). Yet even the bait-and-switched nerfed Riven mods still make meta weapons even more powerful than they used to be.

What a mess!

I just finished updating, I go to log in and it crashes. Every time.

I've tried verifying and optimizing the cache but it doesn't matter, my game is entirely broken. This update has already caused me so much frustration... this is just too much...

Edit: Error WAR-1105937 by the way.

Kuva cost is still stupidly high, in a general sense putting an increasing cost on rerolling random stats on a mod which acquisition is locked behind a rng wall is just plain bad game design. It's as if you get a chance at going to a casino, and every time you put a coin (kuva) in a slot machine (riven mod) that can make you win a certain prize (weapon) you have to pay more and more, At some point a single try is going to cost too much and you can't just simply change slot machine, you have to go out of the casino and pray for another chance to get in again and start playing in a slot machine you haven't even chosen (mod for a different weapon)

The sad thing is that you guys are really convinced that these riven mods are in some way magically bringing some life back into old obsolete equipment but you still don't get that bandaid mods (that are not even guaranteed in the first place, let alone getting ones with decent stats) are not the solution, and instead of looking at the problem at the root you are just after mitigating the symptom.
I am greatly disappointed, I was convinced you could have done better. And no matter how many threads can be started here on the forums and no matter how many posts with hundreds upvotes and an overwhelming amount of constructive comments you guys are going to limit yourself to tweaking the system marginally, as if it was already good in the first place, and keep perpetrating a system that from a game design standpoint is just laughable at, especially given the premise that this system is supposed to make things more interesting and fix old weapons.
Insanely high gains of cold damage or multishot or even base damage are not going to fix bad weapons. It's this simple. All they can do is making decent weapons that were already usable in sorties and high level content just a bit better, but these weapons were already decent in the first place.

I don't expect anybody relevant to read this comment, but I just wanted to say this and make sure I leave a mark, so I can't feel guilty about not doing it.
In some way I believe I'm giving feedback saying that this system is still horrible and several consequential rng gates (chance to get the mod, weapon type, stats/number of stats) and a timegate of 24h behind the chance of acquirinig one of those mods is just plain stupid, especially if this system is supposed to fix older content, you have to realize that this is very inconsistent and doesn't provide any guarantee.
Ditching random mods in u7 was a good idea, if you want to implement it again maybe you should think again about the acquisition of the mod, or even allowing people to "lock" one of the stats, make the weapon type change at each reroll unless you lock it again, and remove kuva cost or find a way to bind it to the single stats you keep rerolling. Otherwise you can take the borderlands model as example.
But then again, Riven mods in the current state don't represent any meaningful "fix" to content obsolescence and how you are convinced this is a "solution" is just beyond my comprehension.

And the 15 mods limit, by the way, doesn't really make sense either especially in a gear centric game like warframe where completionism is something old players look after, and if we are supposed to make trash weapons useful (mind you, there are more than 15) how is the mod limit helping us anyway?

If you truly want to help weapons that are generally not used, either:

1. Remove increasing Kuva cost as players will often reach a point where taking another shot at the slot machine will not be worthwhile for a bad weapon. Some weapons really need that "perfect roll" and increasing the cost of attempting to get it doesn't help.

And maybe change the algorythm for stats that are allowed for certain weapons such as getting flight speed on hitscan weapons and +I/P/S on weapons that don't have Impact, Puncture or Slash. (Some exceptions may apply with alternate versions)

2. Allow stats to be locked in with each cycle, but keep the increasing cost. Give us some actual choice.

Also remove Zoom from the possible stats.

Edit: And yeah, remove the 15 Riven mod cap.

With increasing costs that's the second factor that doesn't help underused weapons. Which are the first mods to get tossed out to make room for more? The ones for weapons you don't like or want to use with a high Kuva cost.

The crashing I am getting leaves an evolution engine crash report prompt up, after (and only after) submitting info on the crash, it gave me a screen thanking me for my support and also giving me the error code.

Been encountering about 5 issues with this patch.

  1. Joining a game results in spawning at the beginning instead of next to the host
  2. Joining a game on Uranus that starts underwater results in spawning with normal weapons instead of archwing stuff.  This also makes it so I can't exit the water.
  3. Kuva siphons still spawning in Uranus small hallways.  The kuva is siphoned in about a second after it spawns making it almost impossible.
  4. Kuva siphons spawning behind objective-locked doors.  I was doing a sabotage on Uranus and the siphon spawned behind a door that was locked until the sabotage was completed.
  5. Kuva siphons spawning after long underwater areas on Uranus.  I had one spawn while I was underwater and it was on the other side of those long underwater passages.  It had 4 siphons done by the time i could even get to it.
