Guest
So, the Kuva fortress is basically embedded in a rocket-powered asteroid that moves around the solar system. So far, that's not too far fetched. Judging by the star map, it seems to orbit only around Eris, Earth, Phobos, and Mars, Occasionally getting close to Ceres and maybe Pluto. This makes NO sense whatsoever given where these celestial bodies are in the solar system. Earth, Mars and Phobos are obviously pretty close to the sun, comparatively speaking. Ceres is in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Pluto, Eris, and Sedna are all out in the Kuiper belt - a part of the Oort cloud. How is the Kuva Fortress going from the Kuiper belt to Earth without ever passing by any of the gas giants in the solar system? Why does the Kuva Fortress visit the Earth, but never Lua? The gas giants orbit the sun very slowly due to their distance and are probably on the other side of the sun as Eris and Sedna at the current time. 9 minutes ago, TheDefenestrater said: Why does the Kuva Fortress visit the Earth, but never Lua? Lua just left the Void like a year ago. There's probably no Kuva to be gathered there. 3 minutes ago, CaptainDavian said: Well also you can't farm kuva on kuva fortress... Why would the Queens send Kuva Siphons to other planets to gather Kuva if they could just gather Kuva from their own fortress? It's pretty clear that either there is no Kuva floating around their own fortress to collect or there used to be, but it was all collected a long time ago. Yeah, but even the solar rails don't seem to have that sort of range, only going from 1 planet to the next in short hops - Earth to Mars, Mars to Ceres, Ceres to Jupiter, etc. 1 minute ago, Misgenesis said: The solar chart isnt 1:1 for convenience reasons most likely. Yeah, it's definitely not 1:1 in terms of scale, but at least the map progression follows a journey from the sun to the outer reaches of the solar system. Each junction takes you to a planet that is further out than the one before. It still doesn't explain how the Kuva fortress can visit Eris (Kuiper belt) and Phobos (Mars's moon) at the same time. Yeah, but once they've gathered all that Kuva, where are they storing it?

Developer and player convenience. Just now, TheDefenestrater said: Yeah, but once they've gathered all that Kuva, where are they storing it? Certainly not just floating around their fortress, at the very least.

DE could at least give us some kind of mission, defense or something, where we get rewarded kuva. Like us going in and raiding their kuva supplies. Doesn't have to be a siphon mission, just a mission on the fortress and we raid their kuva supplies.

Yeah, that would be hilarious, and weird. I think some people want an alternative means to gather it, apart from the kuva siphon minigame. I think they're after a cache hunting or endurance reward type thing, which would make sense on the Kuva Fortress itself.

Maybe a Sabotage mission (or Archwing Sabotage since the Fortress is lacking in a true Archwing mission) of some sort.

It would be nice to see them include that Archwing-to-on-foot transition into some of the missions. It was exciting to see as a part of the quest because it made you think "oh boy, archwing can be cool again!"... then you tried jumping off the edge of the asteroid and proceeded to cry. I think they're really running into the limitations of their engine in that regard. Edited December 14, 2016 by Guest

That may be true, but even with a highly irregular orbit, slingshoting around the sun would bring em pretty close to mercury and venus, no? Not to mention that the bodies out past Neptune have orbits on the order of 100's of Earth years, and going to and from them would take quite some time. The Fortress Defense mission literally has you defending Kuva. Meaning there should be quite a bit in the fortress that we can get through Sabotage or something. Zyrgi
Yea, and there are no Grineer here on earth, other planets in solar system aren't inhabitable, there are no kubrows living on earth either, and humanity is the only sentient civilization in the solar system. Why do you try to make a fantasy universe bend to the laws of the reality? Of course it won't make sense. Spoiler Edited December 14, 2016 by Zyrgi Grammar is important. OmniXVII
Where sectors are place on the star chart should be the last thing DE worries about over more substantial gameplay changes. Video games have logic holes in them in every aspect of design and lore. Get used to it.
