(PSN)Akuma_Asura_
What would you classify him as ? I've been thinking about him a lot lately & he has a lot of cc options but some how I see him more as a support frame then anything else . I know some who even see him as a tank
(PSN)Mofojokers
Tank / Support / Dps Most frames can just do it all, trick is to build them the way you want to use them. ☺ Edited December 15, 2016 by (PS4)Mofojokers
(PSN)Magician_NG
When three out of his four frame skills are damage skills? No, Frost is not a support frame, even though he has arguably the best level 100+ support skill in the game.

Actually, his Freeze is better for CC than damage, his Ice Wave is better CC than damage, and Avalanche is better for CC than damage. So yeah, he is, for the most part, a support frame. Avalanche and Ice Wave are excellent crowd-stoppers. Admittedly, Freeze isn't as well-used, but at the same time, it is handy for quickly freezing single targets. As CC and not as damage dealing, which is why @PrVonTuckIII said that frost is mainly a support. What's the use of ice based damage dealing abilities against lvl 100+ when you have freeze & slow on all your abilities ?

With Ice Wave Impedance.... ALL the time I can when I'm not killing stuff moving at a snail's pace in front of me, or when I'm not casting a new Snow Globe. Being able to act like a Slow Nova with Frost is very useful. Love that augment.
(PSN)joshw1400
Plus the armor strip from avalanche isn't really noticeable, so CC all the way. Plus you can make a giant snow globe.
Midrib
Definitely a CC\Support frame, his abilities revolve around Slowing\Freezing enemies, or just protecting allies with his bubble. Frost with his wave augment and a Duration\Range build has to be one of my favorite setups to play around with.
trunks013
id say defensive frame. But still its all up to how you use him.
xFrostKnightx
Tank/CC frame. People may praise his damage, but unless you go max strength it's pretty much negligible because of armour scaling and you'd do better wasting so many slots when you could use his augs which arguably are better than most other augs. I've never tried it before, and it would be an expensive build, but quite useful at high levels.
Berserkerkitten
IMHO he is the support frame for defense type missions. I love having this guy around. Though simply classifying him as only a support frame certainly won't do him any justice.
kaliazane
He can deal dmg and offers CC at same time. I'd say hes well rounded.

(PSN)robotwars7
I think of Frost as a powerful Defensive CC frame, who ensures enemies cannot pass a certain point without being frozen or killed. the Gandalf of Frames if you will. with his Avalanche Augment he can heal as well as CC and defend, so he's pretty well rounded now it seems. DanujCZ
Cuz he can buff you, protect you and freeze everything. (He can be DPS too)
Volinus7
Stopper frame stop bullets stop enemy movements stop someone from being alive by repeated globe wall slam.....

Got too into using Valkyr Prime (Valkyr regular has well over 40% of my usage since I started Warframe three years ago), Chroma, and Saryn Prime. Now that Frost isn't some requirement to run endless missions anymore. Well, not like he used to be anyways. I can get rid of my old aversion of using him because people whined he is required. Zivilfer
Ice globe definitely makes him an incredible support, but he also has a very nice AoE CC with some good tankiness. Overall he's a frame with top tier survivability
(XBOX)Solargeo
CC Support with a bit of tank.

Honestly even with moderate power strength, like Transient Fortitude only, the strength combined with at least one corrosive projection makes a noticeable impact on armor. I'd say that, yeah Frost is a pretty great defensive support frame, contrast to say, Volt, who is an offensive support frame. I've kinda been settling into a trio of frames that I rely on for everything now, Frost, Excal, and Volt. Excal just for solo/quest/durability/kuva flood. Frost for defensive and camping team support. Volt for offensive high speed team support.
SeaUrchins
Frost is the strongest warframe in my opinion. Hard CC, potentially invulnerable globe and massive, infinitely scaling finished damage. He is the elephant in the room, unpopular enough to avoid nerfs and prosper.
