What are relays lacking that would make you WANT to go there?

You know what? Teshin (old dog that he is) might be able to learn a new trick and realize something. While we do indeed learn quite well fighting each other, wouldn't it be fantastic if the area passed the Void shield on the relays was a (drumbeats) conclave competitive zone? Not only would the constant explosions remind folks there that if they betray us, we could send the building down on their heads, but, they could also start a betting table to boot.

Even better, imagine if clans could, through a majority vote or by their kindly despot's efforts, obtain a sort of "Conclave Sponsorship" that allows them to earn conclave points, faction points, or (here's a really big theroretical) settle faction disputes in the ring, reduceing the chance of haveing hit-squads sent after the winners by the opposeing faction for a day or three?

Yeesh, sorry, good mood= overkill overflow of ideas.

Where's the duel room? The minigames? The totally legal gambling ring? If relays had space poker I'd be there all day

You answered your own question right here. I don't hang out there because there's nothing to do. How about a dueling chamber where you can bet like 500 credits at a time against other tenno and then duel them for it?

Or a tenno pool table?

INFORMATIVE: Videos of more intricate loadouts combinations in action both in the field and in the Simulacrum--stuff you might only find in a YouTube's deep-dive.

ENTERTAINMENT: Lore-based cinematic exclusive to the relays. (Movie night Tenno?) DE could really use this to flush out the lore.

Given how many people go to the relays just to show off their fashion frames, it would be nice if DE held official fashion contests where the winners get their winning warframe displayed in place of the huge statue at the front until the next contest, or something like that.

i kinda want statues of my current frame looks in my ship now... one for ember, one for frost, one for nehza, etc....

Minigames, casino (not plat, only credits^^) races, duelling, tournaments, there are so many things they could do.

For the fashionframe part there could be a bar with dance pedestals that could be interacted with to dance on them (1 frame at a time).

I would love to see a couple more big spaces, like a garden, etc. the relays feel a bit cramped right now.

I want my drinks we need a bar. Seriously we need more Social type rooms and minigames, other npcs with quests and tasks and a tons of activity rooms. Duel, obstacle, tournament or arena like games, gambling and some bar. Living cabins as well would be nice but those not necessary. Botanic garden, other gardens, parks, shops and some research, foundry.

arcade stuffs, and maybe some restaurants or whatever it is (at least something like buying food that will give you buff like dealing more damages, more health, more shields, or so on, or whatever it is...)

and let's jsut say make a sort of great hangout place like bars, restaurants, food & beverage shacks... (just to waiting Baro Ki'teer's presence in a relay XD )

yet i'm sure there are unused rooms in relay and that make some ppl curious (1 unused door in north wing of relay, another one in second floor, 3 doors in east wing & west wing in second floor too)

TL;DR

the point is great hangout places

for me, it seems like one of those things, where you don't know what you want, but you'll know it when you see it. it could use a little more atmosphere, with NPC's doing more than just standing around. honestly though, i have no idea how to improve the Relays, but I'd like to see any attempts made to do so.

One thing I think would help is a dedicated open social space. Like a garden room.

I have a shaky concept for one I think would be good but I can't make it into some decent art. rip

Children, dressed up as their favourite warframes, who wants to trade "cards" (mods) with you, but won't accept any of the more special ones ("sorry I don't know that one...it looks fake"), and for whom you do random emotes with upon interaction. Once a week they tell you a rumour of a monster on a random location, like a former colony where you will fight a grineer maniac or something, where you get toy trophies that can be placed in the liset, and rarely, one of the kids will be dressed as baro ki'teer and will trade you a glyph of baro ki'teer or a lotus sigil drawn by actual children etc for oberon, ivara parts or dread blueprins etc

It would help new players attain some of the common mods a little faster, introduce them to the relays so they see the social aspect and guides, and veteran players would still get the silly weekly toy rewards. It would also breathe life into the world.

A sortie slot machine: if you manage the first sortie mission, you get one coin, two for second, three for the final one. It takes 12 coins for a spin, and the rewards are all the sortie rewards. You can also win a double roll so you get to spin twice.

Edit: the kids' costumes have to be a bit shoddy but recognizable. No shortcuts like a scaled-down rhino passing for a child ;)

The promised brothel from Steve's files.

But, all the tenno are pre-adolescents...  I don't want to imagine the business they would have their.
