Songs that fit well with Warframes story?

I was playing a survival in the Void the other day listening to a random playlist on my phone, when The Veldt by Deadmau5 started playing. I know the original story behind the song and it just seemed eerily similar to Warframes story.

(Song Lyrics)

Happy life, with the machines
Scattered around the room - (Warframes)
Look what they made, they made it for me - (Orokin)
Happy technology

Outside, the lions run - (Infested)
Feeding on remains
We'll never leave, look at us now
So in love with the way we are

Here
The world that the children made

Every night, they rock us to sleep
Digital family - (Ordis)
Is it real, or is it a dream? - (Second Dream)
Can you believe in machines?

Outside, the beating sun
Can you hear the screams? - (The Terminus Massacre)
We'll never leave, look at us now
So in love with the way we are

Here
The world that the children made
----

It literally hit me as I was playing as my Operator. Are there any other songs you guys think go well with Warframes story?

Edit: Grammar mistake.

My friend made this 2 months ago, I feel like it could suit Warframe insanely well in some ways.

Now hear me out. I know electronic music or non-lyrical music isn't for everyone (I would know this the most), especially something like melodic orchestral dubstep, but trust me, give this a shot. It's essentially an orchestral soundtrack at an epic scale along with 'better' dubstep bass sound design that sounds much more SciFi than 'dubstep music'. Which is basically perfect for Warframe. It's epic, SciFi and sounds like it should be a game soundtrack.

Give this one a shot. You can't lose anything by trying it out.

EDIT: You know what, DE should totally hire this guy as a soundtrack producer

It does for the combat. I'm talking more on the lines of story.

Why do you talk like you're pitching a new idea to Dragons Den?

Let the bodies hit the floor.

That far too loud's song with the phrase 'it is natural to die'.

"Silent Melody" by Working for a Nuclear Free City always felt really fitting for the Operators specifically, even more so after the Second Dream.

The song lyrics go really well with the theme of Warframes story. I'd never heard that song before.

I'll give you a hint: What's the colloquial term for how you spend most of this game gathering things, specifically in regards to acquiring resources, primed gear, syndicate standing, etc? :P

Ah I see it now lol. I was thinking more along the lines of the farm representing some group within Warframe.

Also, the most bizarrely appropriate thing ever happened about a year ago. I was screwing around on Earth with my Ivara while listening to my music through Steam, and who should show up but the cheesecake himself, Shadow Stalker?

I don't like the odds for my loadout in this matchup, so I get ready to abort, but then when his second quote pops up, "To Hell With This Gattai" starts playing, and lights my god-damned blood on fire!

I had the best fight in all my time in Warframe! I even managed to finish him with the Spira Prime, which is superbly fitting considering the song's source material.

Hmm...I think part of the problem is the subjective aspect of how a) one takes the story and b) how one takes a song.

Personally, I view the story somewhat from the Nihilistic angle. Be it the perpetual clashing of battle, the lack of anywhere to really call home, even the lack of much in the way of personal identity and life beyond the blade...it feels a curious question to ask why despite it all, the Tenno fight at all. Better still what for. Regardless of that though...fact is they do...which means a lot more than the alternative.

With that in mind, I thus sort of float around the following:

For the 'someone has to' moments

God and Man from God Eater. Song which, least for me, is somewhere between acknowledging one's regrets and imminent demise...but moving forwards despite that grief.

Revolving Lantern from God Eater 2. If the end's here, well...don't grieve for us. We did what we could, just to forge the road ahead.

Price of Freedom, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Realistically speaking, the odds are insurmountable. There's no winning the fight, not really. No grounds to surrender though.

For the 'doesn't matter' aspect

Burn the Fleet, by Thrice. Victory or defeat, there's no turning back. Move forward, embracing the strength of that choice whatever it costs.

More than This, by Peter Gabriel. No matter what happens, there are people we can turn to, to make sense of the world and move forwards with together.

Blood Rage, God Eater 2: Rage Burst. In essence, NEVER. GIVE. UP. If there's a battle to fight, if there's something to accomplish, damned well chase it. Change is what we make, after all.

Apologies for going on. Like I said, it's highly subjective on two layers at least here, but there's my 'in general' play.

1. We're basicaly farmers lol

2. I think 'let the bodies hit the floor' & 'it is natural to die' is pretty self explanitory.

April showers (especially the proleter remix) is just so satiricaly cheerful, that it makes it somewhat grim. I was playing banshee with sancti tigriss back when void survival long runs were a thing. April showers played through my stream and kept on killing while syncing my gunshots with the beat. It makes it felt like my banshee was a monster at heart, who kills hoards of people with a big smile of joy and lil dances here and there.

As an EDM producer, I know us producers get a ton of shade chucked on us for making such music since it's so 'extremist' in a sense. Especially producing genres such as dubstep for example, gets turned down by the general public, especially as it's seen as 'not music'.

You learn the 'EDM isn't for everyone' lesson the most when you make it yourself.

The Sound of Silence Farming

Hello Baro, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its salt while I was sleeping
And the disappointment planted in my frame
Still remains
Within the sound of farming

In restless runs I farmed alone
Narrow halls of Grineer clones
'Neath the halo of an incandescent lamp
I turned my warframe to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a golden light
That split the night
And touched the sound of farming

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand Tenno, maybe more
Tenno talking without speaking
Tenno hearing without listening
Tenno farming parts that they never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of farming

Fools, said I, you do not know
Farming like a cancer grows
See my builds that I might teach you
Take my invite that I might reach you
But my words, like Corpus Sapping mines fell
And echoed in the wells of farming

And the Tenno bowed and prayed
To the RNG god they made
And the redtext flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the redtext said, the words of the prophets are written on the Orbiter walls
And Orokin halls
And whispered in the sounds of farming

Disturbed - The Light

Especially for The War Within. I dont have time to put up the lyrics right now, have to go back to work. I'll edit them in when I get off.

Like an unsung melody
The truth is waiting there for you to find it
It's not a blight, but a remedy
A clear reminder of how it began
Deep inside your memory
Turned away as you struggled to find it
You heard the call as you walked away
A voice of calm from within the silence
And for what seemed an eternity
You're waiting, hoping it would call out again
You heard the shadow reckoning
Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded
You held your guard as you walked away

When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

An unforgivable tragedy
The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it
Prepare yourself for the reckoning
For when your world seems to crumble again
Don't be afraid, don't turn away
You’re the one who can redefine it
Don't let hope become a memory
Let the shadow permeate your mind and
Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away
So that the door can be opened again
Within your darkest memories
Lies the answer if you dare to find it
Don't let hope become a memory

When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light, beautiful

Sickening, weakening
Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul
You need strengthening, toughening
It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you
Ignite the fire within you

When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Don't ignore, listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness
Can show you the light

Spoiler

You're blind to what's in front of you
What do you know about the truth
Devalued as soon as we're cast
We were never made to last
Just bodies made and fabricated
We're fighting towards our life extension
We're living for expiration

Under the surface we're not machines
Under the surface we're living dreams
Death lives just one breath away
Somewhere my heart beats in silence
I made my way through the violence
Nobody lives forever

"It's a shame you won't live. But then again, who does?"

My endless will for resolution
Echoing since my creation
I'm living for my expiration

Under the surface we're not machines
Under the surface we're living dreams
Death lives just one breath away
Somewhere my heart beats in silence
I made my way through the violence
Nobody lives forever
Under the surface we're not machines
Under the surface we're living dreams
Death lives just one breath away
