Plains of Eidolon

They'll probably need next week to polish everything still (did you see how many [PH] names, info, icons, etc were still in the UI?)

I'd hazard a guess for the week after (Oct 9 - 13), from mid-September to mid-October... let's just hope Fall 2017 doesn't turn out to be [DE]layed til December.

soon(tm).....

also lay of the delays people. DE has never given any date by which it will be finished. therefore even if it doesnt come out untill winter 2019 it still wouldnt be a delay. its just not living up to player expectations.

Last week, they said it was supposed to be released that week but that they delayed the release to work on it a bit more.

they stated they "hoped" to get it out last week.... not supposed to. big difference there.

Look at the link to the post I added to my reply. Reb clearly says "Planned".

Why are you telling people they meant it to be launched last week? The very post you're citing explicitly says "Plains of Eidolon is not launching this week (Monday, Sep 25)."

Did nobody read past "Plains of Eidolon is not launching this week. "...? Third sentence after those words.

This is under the assumption that had everything gone perfectly we would have it already.

Sadly, I've been here long enough to know that what they have "planned" is almost never executed fully. Every large update has had to push it back, either from days, to weeks, in the case of The War Within nearly a year wait for the update.

Can't spell delayed without DE.

You really need to learn to read.

"1) Plains of Eidolon is not launching this week.
From the moment TennoCon ended - the question has been 'when'. We've said 2017, Fall 2017, and sometimes even September. We had originally planned to ship this week but we're giving ourselves more time to finish things. The question of 'when' does remain, and we'll prepare you with information on that early next week!"

Control F it on the post.

I think any forced cycle length will be annoying to a lot of people. We ignore it mostly currently because outside of farming plants for Titania, it doesn't matter to us at all. No meaningful content besides that is really affected by it.

If there are specific drops only available day or night or a significant difference in drops/resources gathered day and night, people will quickly grow tired of having to look at the clock to see if it's a good time to play Warframe. At first it'll seem cool when it's first released because the lighting and what's going on will change while you're there, but once you're in farming mode and after specific things, that may grow old.

I think it would be smarter to get rid of us all being on some synchronized clock and let people enter day/night versions. This isn't an open world MMO, we don't need to all be in a time synced instance of the plains. They don't have to let us enter some time frozen version necessarily, but they could have an NPC near the door that lets you wait/rest until it's night or day to enter like in an RPG with day/night cycles (IE: it goes to some screen and rapidly changes to whatever time of day you're after).

I could be wrong, maybe they'll be so much to do at both times of day regardless of progression that you won't really care about the cycle.

It was easy because they didn't go far in. It's been stated that the further away from Cetus you are into the plains that the harder it gets.

But will it take another year for the next Open World tho?

Don't think so as they've stated that now that PoE is pretty much done that they have all the ground work to work on the others. I don't think we should expect new Open Areas to be popping out every month but perhaps one or two a year wouldn't be surprising? Though considering the amount of work they put in one a year would be a fair amount considering they'd also be working on things outside of the Open Areas as well!
