(PSN)alvian00
i been noticing something about argon crystals if they decay and are radioactive dose that mean that the stuff we use argon crystals on powered by nuclear fission? if so then are we literately walking radiation hazards then our orbiters maybe be fully contaminated. hope the ostrons don't develop cancer because of us. wonder what would the geiger say? 🙂 there also something bothering if decay is happening what ever happen to the byproducts? am sure after those 24 hours a new more stable element is form. maybe we just eject it to space since it is useless or maybe we don't use argon crystals for fission but by Piezoelectricty? what you think? Carnage2K4
TBH, the rate at which Argon in WF decays, if it were using real physics, nothing would survive in our ships, The kid, the dog, Ordis... all destroyed by the intensity... Point is if you're going to try an apply real life to a game, you're going to have a hard time...
Illithar
Argon isn't radioactive. It is, however, non-reactive and is used in real world industrial processes were you don't want whatever you are working on exposed to normal air. It also doesn't naturally occur as a crystal, and is a gas at room temperature. So once we have the crystal it 'decays' into a gas. Or it's just a game and you should try not to over think things. NeithanDiniem
The crystal sublimates into gas, evaporating away. It is used during manufacture during processing more complex materials or for forming silicon crystals. Plenty of other uses, but it certainly isn't used as a power source. It is just useless to us as a gas in an uncontained form.

Lakais
Warframe has a very... interesting relationship with materials and forces. Basically most materials we use can be essentially interpreted as renamed versions of existing materials. With a handful looking or being something but their description does not match up with how they actually act in a physical sense. Tellurium for example is an existing material we use today and can be mined. Nitain however, by description seems to be basically just Methane gas. Personally I imagine that the materials we gather are actually stuff we can't make or harvest reliably now, but through the power of Orokin magic come to exist. We still use basic materials we find on the Table of Elements but we don't hunt for those, Ordis buys those with the credits we use in our crafting terminals. We hunt for materials you can't buy for credits. 1 hour ago, (PS4)alvian00 said: Ai, the laws of science be a harsh mistress If the laws were indeed mistesses, then Physics would be the incredibly strict dominatrix that owns and rules the manor in which we end up through contrived anime-trope "duty by birth" roles, past down through generations. We've had anthropomorphic countries, gaming consoles and emotions! Now we need the laws and forces that govern the very universe in a more risque harem styled show! I hope MadHouse picks it up. I might just sign up on Crunchy for that show. I mean, considering the shows we've had, I'm certain it will come around through sheer probability. Wind_Blade
Wow two points in a row ... how rare and conveniant xD 17) Conversation miraculously stays civil and on-topic : Yes but in this case why it's the half of our stock and not a specific timer for each one ? (PSN)robotwars7
dunno what Piezoelectricity is, but it's got "pie" in it so it sounds alright to me

They use the same process as stabilized DiLithium Crystals in Warp Drive Systems. Even an Ensign knows THAT. The issue is that Void Energies don’t follow the same rules and Argon can’t be Stabilized. The degradation variance is too great once removed from Void Space. Edited June 3, 2018 by (PS4)Silverback73
